This is, without a doubt, the absolute worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I am from Hamilton, NJ which is right next to Trenton so I have a bunch of amazing local Mexican spots near me like El Guajillo. I was in PA for an event that got out late and I thought Taco Sauve would be like all the local authentic Mexican spots near me. I couldnt have been more wrong & would have been better off stopping at Burger King which was right near the go karting event I had just got out of. The decor for Taco Suave is colorful & charming complete with flowers and lights strung around the restaurant, bright & vivid colors & painted portraits of Frido Kahalo. I also got a kick out of the restaurant name. So far, so good. I ordered a chicken chimichanga, which is a go-to for me at many of the local Mexican spots I hit up on a regular basis. It had chicken, beans & bacon inside and was topped with cheese, lettuce & sour cream. Okay, so far so good. When I excitedly picked up my fork & knife to dive into my chimichanga as I had not eaten all day, I was astonished at how literally rock hard the bottom of the chimichanga was. We all know chimichangas are fried but digging into it with my knife with all my strength, I was unable to cut the damn thing. My husband, who is much bigger & stronger than I, was surprised and grabbed my utensils for me and literally started sawing at the damn thing and it was nearly intractable. The plate was moving back and forth with his efforts and the table was literally shaking and, at one point, the chimichanga nearly flew off the plate at me with how hard my husband was digging the knife into the chimichanga. Finally, he was able to saw his way through the bottom layer of the chimichanga which was an overcooked, overfried, literal brick. Needless to say, all enthusiasm & excitement I had felt when I found Taco Suave on yelp had instantaneously evaporated. I was starving, however, and we had a nearly hour long drive to get home and most all the other food places were closed. Taco Suave was closing in 5 minutes so I didnt exactly have time to order something else. I dejectedly resolved to eat the chimichanga with my husband having to literally help me hack and saw pieces of it so I could eat the damn thing. It was literally a struggle to chew it. I have never in my life eaten something that was so hard, overfried and overcooked. Even my Fruit Punch Jarritos, one of my favorite Mexican drinks, was barely aiding me in choking this travesty down. I finally finished 3/4 of it and my husband finally asked to try a piece -- the look on his face said it all when he bit in. He told me it was the literal hardest chimichanga he had ever bit into in his life and told me, Thats it, you are done eating this crap. This was Thursday night and it is now very early Saturday morning. I have had a horrific stomach ache since then and literally feel like I have a brick in the middle of my stomach. I am very thin & petite and you can literally see the chimichanga has not been digested at all. Needless to say, I have been unable to "eliminate" it so far. Its one thing for food to be disappointing or not live up to Yelp reviews. I have been on Yelp searching for new spots to try and posting reviews and photos for over a decade. However, feeling physically uncomfortable to the extent that it has been difficult for me to eat, unable to go to the bathroom, feeling overfull and the sensation of the chimichanga literally coagulating into a brick in the bottom of my stomach are restaurant experiences that noone should ever go through. I wish I had recorded my husband literally having to saw through the chimichanga just for me to eat the damn thing. It was surreal, so just imagine what choking it down was like. For the crime of wanting tasty, authentic, local Mexican cuisine after attending a go karting event in Horsham, PA, I have been physically uncomfortable with a solid mass of a complefely undigested chimichanga for the past day and a half. My husband put his hand on my stomach (I am 95 lbs) and could physically feel a mass in my stomach. I have never eaten food this undigestable in my literal life and I have no idea how this restaurant has 4 stars on yelp. Stay very far away.
Craving enchiladas since AM and found this place . The food came out warm and delicious. I love Mexican food .The service was great . The restaurant is family friendly.
I was tempted today for Mexican food. We had lunch yesterday at La Corita yesterday, and everything there was amazing. Taco suave? I think it just does not meet the mark. I am from Los Angeles. Eaten the best Mexican food in Los Angeles. And in several different cities and towns in Mexico. This is probably the worst I've ever had. Ordered the fried whole fish. (Mojarra Frita). Also ordered guacamole and those horrible hard semi burned chips. The fish was also very dry and very hard. How do you even do that to a fish!! Definitely not what I'd expected. The guacamole was OK. So we ate that with some "homemade" tortillas. $4 for six tiny ones. Maybe 3 inches across. Decision is made. We won't be back or recommend this place. I'm sorry, I try to be gentle with small family restaurants. But this one I would be ashamed to recommend. Next time back to La Corita. What a difference! One star because it's the minimum. 2nd one for the guacamole. That's it.
A group of us came here for lunch and it was dead. We happened to be the only table in the place the entire time. It is a very small restaurant tucked inside a small strip mall. The menu is large and there's plenty to choose from. Is goat meat your thing? Because if so, they seem to have plenty of that! Not wanting to try goat for the first time in the middle of the work day, I opted for the enchiladas verde lunch special, it came with rice and pinto beans. The verde sauce was very good and had great flavor but the chicken was kind of bland and I'd have preferred it it was shredded versus big chunks. There was entirely way too much cilantro, as in a massive amount on top of my enchiladas. The rice and beans were average, nothing earth shattering. Everyone in our group agreed the food was average and could have used more flavor. No one likes the chips and salsa. If you are a soda drinker, they do not have fountain drinks. Their drinks are bottled and regular Coke is served in those cute glass bottles. Also, there is a $10 minimum for credit cards, so keep that in mind!
Complete trash, the fajitas were 18 dollars and most of the beef was super fatty. Completely bland and over cooked beef, not even salt and pepper. The "salsa" tastes like Italian dressing.
I looked up this place when searching for birria tacos for my son. This place did not disappoint! They give complementary chips and homemade salsa which a little skimpy but it's ok - I ordered more with guacamole because they were so good! Both myself and the kids left happy!
Came here since they had the birrias tacos. The place is nicely decorated. The waitress was also pleasant. The place looks like it may be running on a very thin staff. The chips and fresh salsa came out In very small bowls we asked for more and we were going to be charged but only knew that because she was writing it down which prompted us to ask. We got the chicken chimichanga, al pastor and the birrias. All the meals came out at the same time even though we asked for a the chicken chimichanga as a appetizer. Well guys I'm very disappointed, the birrias was hot and had a good crunch but was FLAVORLESS. The beef was supposed to be spicy and it's So sad. The chicken chimichanga was not fried at all.. it was more of a burrito than a chimichanga. The al pastor was cheaply made. They threw the pineapple on top instead of cooking the pork with the pineapple... the pork was tender but again no flavor. I don't recommend this place unless you're into bland Mexican food. I'll wait for el limon to open in Hatboro.
This place is awesome! It's super authentic and the food is beyond delicious. It's a small place with what I've only seen one waitress who is very attentive and nice. At first I was not sure what to expect walking up to it as it sits in a small strip mall on street road that never looks busy. But once inside you are sent right to a small Mexican restaurant. Ton of credit to the cook as she makes amazing Mexican food. We've been here twice and will continue to go back because it's so good. Last time we went I got the al pastor tacos, one of my favorites. They were very good. Well seasoned and large pieces of pineapple. With just the right amount of toppings on warm soft tacos. My girlfriend got the fried chicken torta. This was one of the best that I've had. It was huge as well! I will definitely be going back again and again.
Y'all know how I feel about Little Miner Taco's birria and how it's literally unmatched? I finally, and I do mean FINALLY, found a spot that can compare in PA. The beef, consome, and the spicy salsa that comes on the side-- literally everything was delicious and bursting with flavor! Cheese pull on a hunnid. I'm just so happy to be alive right now read more

My expectations were largely driven by the name of this establishment. Yes, they were low. We were pleasantly surprised by tasty pork tacos with fresh cilantro. Also, we tried both the agua piña and the agua fresa. Don't forget the sautéed cactus! To learn more, click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx64_N4AA04 read more

Horrible Chicken Mole. 2 dried out drum sticks and everything else inedible because of a pool of grease. I have never seen so much grease in a meal. The Mole 'sauce' was just tasteless grease. I don't understand how anyone would serve this and actually charge money for it. So disappointed and won't go back. read more

It pains me to remember the recently completed dinner at Taco Suave. Such high expectations after reading the other reviews. Such auspicious beginnings. Such a sudden and disappointing finale. We walked in to this tiny strip mall corner restaurant. About a dozen tables with white table clothes. I was thinking that in my experience, the hole in the wall Mexican joints were always the best. At least, that had been true in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and even SoCal. We sat and ordered the Agua de Pina (Pineapple Water), which was a first and a pleasant drink of diluted pineapple juice whipped to a froth. Really good! I was getting more excited as I imagined we had just discovered the Fountain of Youth drink right here in Warrington. Then the homemade Chips and Fresh Salsa came out. Heavy crunchy mild oily sensation with a mild Mexi flavor, and a Tomato, Cilantro Salsa with a sweetness equal to the chili's heat. Loved it. Encouraged and feeling adventurous by the fun of the apps and drink, I went for the Pollo Dorado (Golden Fried Chicken), the most expensive item on the menu. Visions of plump chicken breast with a wonderful fruity sauce danced in my head. My friends had a Burrito de Carne Asada, and a Taco con Queso. What was placed before me was instead three over cooked deep fried drumsticks with an oil soaked brown coating that tasted primarily of salt. My physical reaction to eating this was matched by the instantly deflated sense of gluttony so rudely assaulted and kicked to the curb. I kept eating hoping for a secondary burst of flavor to save this. It did not come. I passed around the chicken and the reaction was universal. Bad. The Burrito de Carne Asada was large and full of bits of beef and cheese, but way too mild, and a bit too fatty. It was left one third eaten. The Taco con Queso presented well, but was practically tasteless. We liberally added hot salsa to throw them life preservers, but we could not save them. The dinner was a victim of drowning. We will not be back. I wish I had a different review to write about Taco Suave, but true to the Yelpers Creed, I cannot hide from the bitter taste of a disappointing meal. Our server, Mirna, was great! read more

First thanks to all who have reviewed this place, it's because of you that I tried Taco Suave. The pineapple water was awesome and so were their chips and salsa. I had the Tierea y Mar and it was very tasty. For dessert I had the Flan, wow it was great. My waitress Shirley was outstanding. She was just like the other reviewer below said, happy, always smiling and answered all my questions from her heart not in rush or like I was bothering her. I travel all over the US ad I wish all of my waitresses was half what she was. Thank you Shirley, you have a friend for life. read more

A pleasant surprise while stopping for a nice lunch. The restaurant is a very quaint and cozy place. The waitstaff was kind from the moment you stepped in. But the food was delicious!! We had the verde enchiladas and the Barbacoa goat entree. We were not disappointed! The flavors were wonderful and the portions were just right. To top it all off I got to enjoy some homemade flan which was the best I've had in years. I highly recommend Taco Suave. 10/10 stars. read more

Not much from the outside located at the end of a dingy shopping center, across from the Univest. Stopped for lunch and ordered the Churrasco special with the Pineapple Water. I got the whole jar! Frothy and refreshing. The waitress, who I'm assuming is the owner was very attentive and nice. She was always checking up on me. I appreciate little things like showing me the bathroom personally, and opening the door with her elbows. Shows that cleanliness is taken seriously. The Churrasco came quickly. It was a very complete plate, and the steak was made perfectly. It came with salad, grilled potatoes, tortillas, broken rice and refried beans and grilled onions. The green onions were a little too tough to eat though. Will come back. ***Edit : after reading someone else's review about being overcharged I think I got overcharged too. The Churrasco and pineapple water for lunch ran at $24.50. It was a special, so I don't know the actual price. Pretty pricey or a 'mistake'. The checks are not itemized, so make sure you request an itemized check. Degraded from 5 stars to 4 because of this. read more

Decent tacos with friendly service. I pretty much tried most of the tacos on the menu. My favorite has got to be the marinated beef. Not a huge fan of the chorizo or chicken. Chicken was too dry and chorizo too mushy. I wish the chorizo was chunkier, not puréed like that. Overall not too shabby but the tacos are definitely trial and error. read more
