This is one of the newer Chipotle stored that opened in the area. It has some really nice interior with wooden panels in the ceiling and slick wooden chairs and tables. The store was clean overall including soda machine and condominium area. We came to the store to get a kid's meal for my daughter. All the ingredients were available to order. There was no line, so we got order ours right away. We asked for chicken and double cheese. For some reason, the server seemed so stingy with serving the ingredients, as if he was giving it from his own pocket. Neither the cheese nor the chicken were half way filled in the tray (as seen in the picture). I requested for some more, and he just sprinkled some on top. The soda dispensers also had no carbohydrate, the sprite we got tasted like sugar water. Not surprising, pretty much all Chipotle stores do not maintain their soda dispensers. The chicken, cheese and tacos tasted fine. The chips were fresh too. I am very disappointed in our order we just recieved. Yes, it was late - annoying, but fine. Both bowls of 6 items were gross - SOAKED with sauces to the point where the bottom of the container was eroding. They were a big mushy mess. The burritos were also bad, but not inedible. I don't go to Chipotle often so I can't compare to others, but this place is somewhat mid. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot, it's easy to order online in advance and the food was average. My son enjoyed his burrito and he had white rice in it. That's an important fact because the brown rice in our burrito bowls was severely undercooked. Other reviewers mentioned this too so they are not reading and learning from errors. Even the business responses to reviews just tell reviewers to go complain on another website. Sheesh. The other ingredients were ok, but the meat was shredded bits and barely noticeable. I got the chipotle honey chicken in my bowl and couldn't really find much. Overall, it was edible, but not wonderful. There are two other places very close to this one that serve similar offerings and are wayyy better. I suggest going there. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of Chipotle in general: fast casual Mexican food but I can't say this location is any better or worse than others. Pick what you want to order like a salad, bowl or burrito and go down the line for what you want in it including protein, toppings and sauces. Service has been ok the few times that I ventured in. It can get busy in there and the space isn't huge. Generally I would choose other conveyor belt type places over Chipotle, though it's generally ok. Parking is shared with other business like Starbucks, Beets Juice, and Eons; you can typically find a spot but if you can't and you're willing to walk from Wegmans that lot is big. read more

I think the food is prepared fine but they give you very small portions . The portions were fine until a certain employee started working here around a year ago.. She gives half a spoonful of chicken when I go. When I ask for more (since she gives a half a spoonful) she gives me one piece of chicken more and then puts it back. Very obnoxious. Chipotle is my favorite fast food restaurant, and possibly my favorite restaurants in general. I've eaten at many different chipotles, and so far I think this one is great. Yes, every chipotle is different, and there are employees that try harder than others and provide better customer service. So I understand why there might be some frustration from the reviews below. Overall though, I have enjoyed most of my visits here. There are a couple employees (I am leaving out their names as I am unsure if they would want me to share them publicly) that really are the prime example of what it means to have great communication and customer service skills. Chipotle is also the type of establishment that you really need to build relationships with the employees at. I have found that if you really build a customer relationship with some employees, they will go the extra mile. Now of course everyone should receive great service regardless of how often you eat there, this is just something I have noticed after eating at many different chipotles over the many years I have been a chipotle customer. read more

This was my first time here and it was pretty decent. I have no complaints. Fast service, same Chipotle quality that I'm familiar with. Got a sofritas salad. Wasn't expecting the sofritas to be as spicy as it was though. The ingredients are tasty but the staff brings this review to only one star. We visited this location three different times and each time had a poor experience. I would've thought it was all chipotle Mexican Grill's except we visited one yesterday in CT and it was day and night better. On all three occasions in Montvale they were out of a menu item and they were not apologetic or willing to compensate. On one occasion they were out of white rice, so we expected at least a little more on the salad to make up for it, but instead ended up with a half filled bowl. Montvale location served undercooked crunchy brown rice. Simply wanted corporate to refund that one lunch as I eat here every week normally everything is fine. Corporate is a mess! When you open a customer service ticket, you give precise details on location and time of issue. Corporate writes me and asks for copy of the receipt which I provide. Corporate then asks for location and time of issue which was already provided TWICE on the ticket and on the receipt. Then corporate says they can't do anything about it and hope I come back. This is genuinely the worst chipotle I've get been to for so many reasons. The food quality is disgusting. The rice is consistently hard and in globs, the meat is about 50/50 fat versus edible meat. The hot sauce and queso has a very different consistency every time I order it. Additionally I walked in twice an hour and change before close and was told they didn't have any meat or rice. I only order from this location because it's close. It has inconstant hours & quality issues. Tonight we had to wait for chicken to get cooked, then had to get on a line again when it was cooked. 30 Minutes for what should have been a quick in and out. Whenever I go into this Chipotle, they don't mess the order up, the portions can be on the smaller side but that's up to you to ask them for more. The main issue that has happened almost every time is that they never get the Rapid Pickup orders right! They either give me something extra I didn't order, or they skimp out on things I ordered. First of all I understand we are in difficult times but this 1000% required a 1 star review. I placed an order for delivery at 7pm. App said estimated delivery at 7:30p which I was excited about. 730 comes, then 8 and nothing. Finally my Door Dasher texts me saying he had been there for 30 minutes but they had nothing, and the restaurant was saying it was going to be another 30 minutes. I pick up the phone and call the restaurant and someone answered who sounded completely nervous and proceeded to tell me he had already called his higher boss because they had run out of food... excuse me... run out of food... and you choose not to call and advise your customers that you're not able to fill their order? Then I spend the next 30 minutes trying to call back and no one answers. Finally someone answers and proceeds to tell me I had to call a customer service hotline that they cant do it at the store. I call and then they tell me its going to be 5-7 business days to get my money back. This has been an absolutely horrendous experience. This location needs some work, mostly with organization. Never really busy, unlike the RT 17 location that always has a line to the door and the freshness of the sides is noticeable--especially when compared to the Farm location. I realize it's pretty new, but it hasn't seemed to catch up yet in service or quality. Most of the time the veggies are dried out, and the sides don't seem to be on a steady rotation which tells me they haven't been too busy and the food sits out longer. Ive tried come at different times of the day, and only a few times have we've gotten decent non-dried out chicken and sides but more times than none it's always old. I can't really compare this location to other chipotles as this is the first one Ive been to but I will say I am not impressed. The first time I ever came in here I felt pressured to order even though I was really just trying to take my time and learn the menu. I asked for some help and was brushed aside. I ended up ordering a big bowl of yummy's and started from right to left. I ordered a couple things which turned out were extras which i was charged for such as guacamole and I was very disappointed when knowing this was my first time that no one told me these items I was ordering were in fact "extras". I would expect when pointing and asking for certain things the staff would inform me there was an extra charge. I have since my first time been back a few times. I don't find the quality of food and produce very fresh and again the staff is not helpful so I think I've seen my last days here. read more

I think I'm finally done giving this location a chance. The majority of my pick up orders are wrong, either missing an item or wrong item. I almost always have to go back to the restaurant to fix it because now they don't even answer the phone.
