Not only that but when I asked for a little bit more honey hot chicken, like the ceo had said, I was denied by the employee working the protein section. So I asked the employee working the extras and was given some extra chicken. The employee at the register then exclaimed "That's not how we do it here, i'm charging for double". This is what I wrote to corporate: Find the most unfriendly people in the neighborhood and they're working at this location. I took my 12 year old son because he got good grades and I said, dinner is your choice. He wanted a chipotle salad. There are 2 women who work at this time who were outright MEAN. I greeted one with a smile (an African American with tattoos) and she stares at me and then says, are you getting anything, too? Seriously? So I ordered my meal and then she finished my son's salad after a guy took the first 1/2 of his order. She was so nasty with her tone and then she says to him, "speak up, I can't hear you." So I stared at her in shock and she stares at me. She TOSSES our food to the checkout counter. And my son was squeezing my arm so that I wouldn't cause a scene. The woman at check out was not much better. No thank you, come again, have a good day. NOTHING. We get to the car and my son says, they forgot my salad dressing. So I told him I'd go back and he says immediately, NO, THEY WILL KILL YOU. Seriously? I get the exaggeration but do you really want customers to have this type of experience? I went back in and lady #2 was still at the checkout. I said, we never got our dressing for our salad to which she said, "it's $.50" I said to her, we got a salad, why are you charging me? "You didn't get a salad." "Yes, I did. Ask around." So she asks lovely lady #1 who says, she didn't get a salad. By now, my voice was ready to go up. So I looked at the guy who took our order at the beginning of the line and he says, "yea, they got a salad." NO APOLOGY. SHE SLIDES THE DRESSING TO ME AND GOES ABOUT HER BUSINESS. This is why your yelp reviews are pitiful. This is why people get food poisoning. You guys hire people who don't care and are downright MEAN. This chipotle is clean, friendly, and had good food. I thought the staff was super friendly so shout out to the people at this location as they had a smile and served during difficult times to feed the people. There is one thing I want to address and it's the improvement that they made for the queso. I remember it used to be grainy and gross. Now it's is creamy and had a nice tiny kick to tickle your taste buds. All the other stuff about chipotle in terms of food quality for me has always been the same across all locations: solid. This is hysterical. I just looked at the reviews for this store and they are almost entirely all bad. Wish I had seen this before yesterday. I see there are a couple of lame auto responses from Chipoltle saying they are concerned to hear the bad reviews. Can't be too concerned, the place is terrible and still serving. You would think if Chipoltle management was actually interested in what is going on they would address what seems to be a serious problem with this specific location. Prior to going to the Malvern store I had never been to a Chipoltle anywhere. But my wife and I were shopping and the Zoe's located next door had closed. All I can say is, I wish my record was still in tact. While waiting for my wife to place her order I surveyed all of the "fixings" that would be used. Disgusting was the first word that occurred to me. My initial instinct was to skip lunch, but anyone who is part of a couple knows that sometimes you take one for the team. A little ptomaine poisoning is easier to handle than Sunday afternoon marital strife. I decided on tacos, clearly a Hobson's choice. I kept the ingredients to a minimum, kind of like loading a gun with just a few bullets. I didn't notice until I sat down but the woman wrapped my three tacos in a very small sheet of aluminum foil. So she balled them all together and made basically one large coagulated mess. The soft shells stuck to one another so I had to pry them apart which aided in their disintegration. The ingredients were tasteless, there wasn't enough hot sauce available to give it any flavor. The guacamole was icy cold and the "chicken" was slightly warm so it made it even more detestable to eat. My wife's salad also looked like a gelatinous mess but she didn't say a word against it. She's wily that way. I kept playing the Chipoltle television commercial in my head while we ate. I know that advertising is all untrue, especially those for food, but Chipoltle's is utter bullshit. Shame on this company. All I can say is believe the reviews posted here. This place is awful and more than likely it will soon follow suit in this shopping center and become another empty storefront. read more

I have contacted corporate about this location and a month later it was worse. This is the dirtiest restaurant I have seen in a pandemic where cleanliness was a lesson taught to all businesses. I was actually afraid to eat here or touch anything. The food station, glass, plastic, floors, drink stations - all dirty. The guacamole was also brown and looked like the kind at the grocery store no one wants to buy. One associate making food didn't have masks on and coughed without covering his mouth.
