Coming here for years. Usually pretty clean and fast service. Generally consistent food quality. The last few times have been underwhelming. The staff are nice but our order has been wrong every time the last few visits. Tried to call the restaurant but there's no direct number available. This location has demonstrated perfectly t that when you don't staff properly and train, service is epically poor. As in, waiting 10 minutes in drive through just to order. So I figure that I should just go inside, that will be faster. Nope. Two people working both drive through and counter (and door dash). They need at least 1 more person. Has been a long time since coming here. Did drive thru. Unpleasant experience. Long wait to just order, we are talking like 10-15 minutes. Person couldnt even say sorry we are delayed. First words were, did I take your order already and only after being silent for the entire time. Major backup, Nothing moving. And chicken sandwich was disgusting. Only local fast food place worse is the McDonald's near 29. How do these places stay in business ? Long time ago there was a McDonald's in Wayne that ended up being shut down because they were selling drugs thru drive thru. Actually made the news. I remember trying drive thru there once. We have been to this Wendy's about 7 times. They are unreliable as it gets. Saturday night, April 13, I went through the drive through and it took a long time. Cars behind me were pulling out. When I got up to the speaker to order the man on the window computer said in a slurred voice, "be with you in just a minute". About 15 minutes later I hollered at the call box, "anyone there?" That same slurred speech answered, " Oh, yea, our screens are down we cannot take orders". This is about the 4th time we drove in and had to leave, always in the evening. Only drive through service. Asked for a burger combo no bun. I got cold fries, regular burger on a bun but they got the soda right. Went back. Got the burger on lettuce, no knife, no napkins no S& P. Asked for s&p and catsup, napkin knife. No napkin. The manager told me he upgraded the fries, no same sad warm fries - no hot fries It shouldn't be this hard to get a meal. I had to turn around in my car. Drive back. Knock on the door. Wait outside. Ask for a knife to cut the burger, ask for napkins. This is the absolute worst fast food experience I have ever had. When I ordered the burger it came RAW. The fries were overcooked and covered in grease, and had ZERO salt! If I could give zero stars, I would. Their so-called manager is incredibly incompetent. I don't know how he's in that position. He told me he couldn't make an order even though he knew he would get paid for it by the driver delivery service I work for. He said the order never came through the system, which is why the delivery service said he could make it again and they would pay him. But he was adamant and said absolutely not. Went through the drive-through. First, the operator sounded like she didn't want to be there. Ordered a chili and fries, and that's all I got.- no spoon, crackers or napkins. Had to drive back and after explaining this, the manager ( I suppose) said I was giving an them attitude? How about you try and do your job right the first time? Or maybe explain to the customers that your establishment needs them to specifically ask for a spoon to enjoy their chili other than thinking that they will use their fingers? I really wish you could hand out negative stars. Wendy's has always been my staple place when I just want a quick good burger. I'm the kind of guy who dips the fries in his frosty. But this Wendy's is garbage. Quick drive thru trip: Speaker Outside is busted you can barely make out the voice taking your order. Once order was confirmed and adjusted so it was correct you get to wait 15 for your food. Now to be fair there was another car in front of me. I paid, said thank you when I got my change and received no version "you're welcome". But again, I'm the one who received all the attention since when I had to sit there and wait ten minutes listening to the crew just screwing around. Finally my drink and food arrived "Thank You" I said again no reply... Well it is Wendy's so my food should be hot and delicious. Nope chicken sandwich and fries ice cold. What I don't get is how cold fries can be covered and soaked in oil but still have a stale freezer burn taste. The chicken was something I never seen before. Less than 1/4 inch thick and burnt on one end. It gets better. My burger and bun covered in grease and yet somehow raw in the middle. The part I don't understand is how someone can look at that and decide it's ok to serve to people? The employees that were there today have no right serving people food. It doesn't matter if it's fast food (in this case not) or 5 Star, take some pride in what you do. If you're not going to do the work just quit. My daughter and I went through the drive through here last week because we were famished after being at the Paoli Surgery Center all afternoon for her foot surgery. We just grabbed drinks and fries and a sandwich off the value menu to tide us over until we could get home for a real meal. It took a little longer than expected but they got our order right and the food was hot and the drinks were cold, so it worked for us. read more

If the legendary Jim H, fellow Delco Yelper, can Yelp a fast food joint on the Main Line, then I can too. Well, that's how I justify it anyway. I'm padding the review numbers a bit I suppose. But I can say a few things about the particular experience here. I've worked in Malvern for over 6 years now. I come to Wendy's for lunch every now and then if the mood hits. This particular location does a far brisker business than the BK only a block away. Probably because the food and service efficiency here is way better than the BK will ever be. Even if the drive thru line wraps around the building which it often does, you seem to get through in a reasonable time. And I generally think Wendy's is better food quality than McD's and BK, the closest competitors. I am noticing a price creep up in Wendy's though. Combo meals for the bigger sandwiches are approaching the $8 range for medium sizes. If you get a large it's over $9 now. And, I'm noticing smaller portions listed in the value menu. For instance, 4 chicken nuggets for 99 cents instead of what used to be 5 nuggets for 99 cents. But hey, that's the economy I suppose. The drive thru is efficient except for the fact that I could barely hear them in the speaker and their confirmation screen was broken. Can't win them all. At least I got what I ordered and got it quickly. But they have Frosty waffle cones now... That alone got them the 4th star. read more

Love Wendy's, have it at least once a week. Got a taco salad today (among other things) and I got two packets of saltines with it... wtf... no tortilla chips? I didnt order soup. I had a horrible day. My father was in the hospital, I waited 6 hours to see a doctor who never came because some emergency I'm sure. I was worried for my dad, starving (had a cheese sandwich for breakfast and it was 7:30 pm. I drove into Wendy's, ordered nuggets, fries, and a coke. I drove up to pick up my food, and lo and behold, my wallet wasn't in my purse. Yep, left it at the hospital. Great. I tell the guy (night manager, Im' assuming due to no uniform) I'll be right back, and he tells me that he's got it...I'm OK. I head back to Wendy's and he tells me there's no need to pay, he has me covered. Such a sweet guy. Completely warmed my heart. I posted about it on Facebook, and my brother said, I drove in about a half hour before you. Same guy told him that his inspection sticker was due to expire at the end of the month. WOW. You just don't get a nicer guy than their night manager. Wendy's...do something to recognize him! I posted on FB about him, tweeted to @Wendys...even told Ellen DeGeneris. He's just a great guy. Weekday lunch I walk in and the tables are nearly empty but the line is a mile long. 4-5 trays on the counter unfilled. I figured I hit the rush, right? wrong. The line barely moves at all. After 5-10 minutes I notice the people who have already waited in line for probably 15 have now been waiting for their food for 10. So close to 30 minutes for FAST(?) food in a muggy restaurant? Dave would be appalled. So awful. Been coming to this Wendy's for 30+ years. It's transformed a lot but never revamped. It's disgusting inside and always muggy and sticky and it stinks. Service is poor, rarely anyone to greet you when you enter. The food is decent, but with not many patrons I wonder how old it is. One time a toilet overflowed and they were sweeping the water out of the bathroom into the dining room then out the door. Eat great even late motto only applies to like 8pm at this location. Well when she got home I tryed a fry and it tasted old, so I dumped the fry's in a dish and it was mixed with other food that we did not order. It made me feel sick it looked like garbage. At Mickey Ds, if you dont feel like fries you can get fries and if you really dont feel like fries theres always the fries. Thanks for all the options Ronald! Dont even get me started on BK at least the kiddie toys at McD are cool. Wendys is balls to the chin above all of the local burger chains. I like Wendy's in general but this review (unlike the one below) is for the Paoli location. It used to be good years ago but this is the fourth time I gave it a try and this will be the last. The coke tasted like either the machine was broken or it had been sitting awhile and the ice melted. The burger was freezing cold and tasted awful. The fries were cold too and wayyy too salty. I threw the whole thing in the trash. The other three times, I also received sub par food and cold! if I am going to eat that many calories, atleast make sure it's hot! This place is completely deplorable. Upon going in for what seemed like a relatively simple lunch, consisting of three items, the totally rude cashier couldn't figure out what order was ours and after the confusion was over, it took close to 15 minutes for the order to come out in its entirety. Their ketchup dispenser was totally empty and when they were told about it, did nothing about it. Furthermore, the burgers were cold and tasteless, the buns were hardened like cement and the fries were greasy and disgusting. If it was possible to rate this zero I would. Well, me and a buddy ordered from here and sat inside. We both got spicy chicken sandwiches. after waiting for 10 minutes to order (young lady at the counter was overwhelmed, while 4 people stood nearby talking and joking). We got to our seats a little later, and noticed the managers door was open, and he was counting money on a desk... in open view of the dining room. Our attention quickly focused to the other side of the dining room, where a black woman with red hair was on her phone talking about "F**k this" and "Bitch that". This was fine and all except that she wore a Wendy's uniform and headset. I wonder how many drive thru customers heard her language. Pretty professional for a company that is in the food SERVICE industry. My focus went back to the manager, who had his back to the door. If you are a robber on this site, this store is a prime target. I wrote to corporate about 2 months ago about this, and nothing got done. No security of any kind, staff is absentmindedly present in the store and corporate thinks customer complaints are some sort of a joke. Bottom line: Food was good, service was pitiful.
