Context: Not busy, multiple staff on hand... should be in good shape??? If you're kids are hungry this tale is a horror story. -Chipotle Dropped the Ball- Indio, Ca location Drive-thru sensor not working properly, okay no big deal. So when the person came to the window, he requested that we go inside (as he had the ability to provide the online order, as design by Chipotle.) So apparently, the person at the window is not able to deliver online order-because of their note about the sensor??? Side note: the drive-thru service is only for online orders. Once inside, the order had not been fulfilled, which they had to verify and begin preparing to make the online order. After another 5mins, one of the gracious crew members mentioned, they'll have to remake the order... then asked to have me get in line and make the order again/live, which was a good length. So after waiting the additional time, we made it to the front of the line after another 5min. The crew took care of the order after looking up the details of the order as they didn't know how to bring it up. Thank goodness for digital info. Thus, after original online order was placed, waiting 15mins before arrival at location, it took an additional 20mins. But we had time and received our order. If we're on a schedule we would have had issues and since they didn't know how to find the original order... think how much of challenge it would have been to refund our online payment. Perhaps this won't be an issue in future considerations to choose Chipotle, but the structure of the problems came from several origins. How the drive up window inability set this whole situation, would have been even more problematic. The online ordering problem is a big issue, but all the time it took to correct and deliver the order is a bigger issue. We've/you've been warned: Good crew Bad leadership read more

Yikes. Found a long hair in our food. Took it back for refund and they were oh-well indifferent instead of concerned (Big problem). Wow...steer clear for this restaurant. It's not up to the usual clean standard of Chipotle. read more

Worst chipotle I have ever gone to. This is coming from someone that loves chipotle, and has been a long time customer. Very unprofessional, they were nearly empty and yet they were OUT OF EVERYTHING. No beans no rice. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL then the ugly lazy lethargic cook looked at me as if he was bothered that we wanted some of the food that they ran out of. This should not be happening at Chipotle. HORRIBLE staff, do yourself a favor and avoid this one on Jackson street. Hopefully the owner reads this and upgrades his / her night staff. We here at 8:00 Pm April 16th. So hopefully the owner sees this and knows which cook it was. It was the lethargic one giving ugly stares. If I could give this place zero stars I would! read more

Went there as was given crunchy cold rice and the scrapings of sour cream off the tub. Horrible taste to it all.

Worst location I've ever been to. Staff is unprofessional and rude, especially the manager. They try to skimp you on serving sizes, you basically have to beg for the portions you're paying for. Only stopped here because it was on the way to my destination during road trip. You're better off going to el pollo loco next door. read more

We came here on a rainy Saturday and were relieved to find a Chipotle in an area with mostly lower end fast food chains. I was glad to see this location was very clean, tidy and well staffed. The two employees who helped me were nice, friendly and didn't rush me through. My bowl was yummy with fresh veggies and quality meat. I liked the new cauliflower rice too. I was in and out quickly for my takeout meal, and this was une bonne expérience! read more

Would not recommend this place. We stayed at the resort nearby so ordered chipotle bowls and tortillas on the side. When my husband brought the food I noticed right away that the bottom of the bowls were completely cold. At first I thought it just cooled since we are 8 minutes away from the place, but that was not the reason since tortillas were hot. I was hoping the food would be warm inside but the rice and chicken were completely cold and the rice was undercooked. Also the lids on the bowls were all dirty with sour cream and guacamole. I get Chipotle pretty often, but never had it this bad. read more

If I could i would give less. Not all Chipotle s are created equal. The guacamole was dark like it had been sitting for looooooong. They did not have fajitas and I was asked to wait 20 min. Like it's one of their main ingredients and not to have it available! It almost feel like they don't give a damn about their costumers or their business. Such a simple concept that you would think this location would get it. But they just don't. The manager better get it together. If I would you I would make the drive to la Quinta. read more

My mom came here in hopes to bring back chipotle for my birthday, she has never been here before so she was not sure what to order, they told her ' make up your mind already ' then rolled there eyes when she asked for the toppings in the side. They truly made her feel terrible, the cashier even apologized and she told him ' thank you for treating me like I'm human, the bolls themselves where not up to chipotle standards, no beans very very little rice, my mother claimed they where scrapping the rice in order to fill the bowls, we asked for a side a steak and where charged for what was given below and two burritos, and they where extremely disappointing, attached pictures to share a glimps of the low standard of portion size, HONESTLY just drive to the La Quinta chipotle at least you won't be disappointed with portion size and customer service. read more

My food was cold and The workers were overall just not a good vibe to be around my food had a big chunk in it and ik the works don't cut it but I choked and I don't choke often so. the food wasn't very exciting it tasted sad tbh and I have never felt worse at a chipotle read more

Steer clear of this Chipotle. The food was cold and the employees do not know what they are doing. Portion sizes were extremely small and not worth the price. An employee was overly disrespectful while serving me. She is the assistant manager, Jenifer. She would roll her eyes and cut me off every time I try to speak. She only treated me differently while she was nicer to other customers. She is racist against Asian people. She is unfit to be a manager. Save the trouble and go to the LQ location. read more

I decided to give it one more try. This place is garbage the foods never hot. My food was cold i dined in and dug into my bowl seconds from walking away from the register. Cold as fuck ill never come back here again it was a waste of 20 dollars. Ill never come back here again. Ill drive to the chipotle in LaQuinta before i ever visit this trashcan store. read more

I love chipotle but I just picked up my order & I ordered a Salad but what's the point if there is only 10 pieces of romaine & NO DRESSING! The only reason I like Chipotle salad is because of the dressing. So disappointed but next time put my dressing. read more

I am a true chipotle lover, however steer clear from Chipotle in Indio. I recommend you drive out to La Quinta. Chipotle in Indio will steal your money. 1. The guac on the side is supposed to be 4oz & the girl at the drive thru window had the audacity to go & weigh the guac to tell me it was 2.9oz, she bragged about how I was get .9 additional. Hello the guac is 4oz, it's even stated on the Chipotle website. 2. My chicken bowl had 6 pieces of chicken, YES! I counted them... Customer service? Haha what is that? The staff here know nothing about customer service. driving out to la quinta is about 15-16 min drive but it's worth especially when you are paying for the chicken & guac... read more

My husband and I ordered via the website from home. We live very close by. When I arrived at the drive up window for our order right on time, the employee looked at my confirmation and told me that my order was already picked up. Since the order was for myself and my husband whom I had just left at home, I knew the order was either given away by mistake or someone scammed the restaurant. I told the lady my party had not picked it up yet and she replied accusingly, "legit it was", to which I replied "that may be so but legit it wasn't picked up by myself or my husband so you need to figure out what happened". She gave me the vibe that she wasn't going to give me my order unless I stood firm, that I was inconveniencing her, and that she didn't know what to do in this situation like call over a manager. While I waited, I called my husband on speaker phone from the car while waiting for about 10 minutes for her to return to the window now with several cars behind me waiting as well. When she finally returned with my order I said to her I can tell her the specifics of the order which I verbally did, I showed her the charge on my husband's debit card on my phone, and I was ready to show her my driver's liscence since one of the entrees was in my first name, the other my husband's, and the order was under his full name. We have the same last name. I was going to do this to prove this was my order and to encourage her and her staff to check pick up orders more carefully before handing them out. She seemed uninterested. When I returned home I tried to get a manager on the phone to share my feedback after I also discovered that my order was incorrect with the wrong size of a side and of my husband's entree was also wrong. 3 phone calls and 20 minutes on hold later, I learned Chipotle has their system set up to not talk to customers but have complaints handled either by AI on their website or a call center located far away. I am extremely disappointed in the service received and grateful I don't have some bigger issue to complain about because there was zero concern for quality of service and customer care. I would not encourage anyone to go to this location. read more

I try to be positive when reviewing a business and only leave reviews when they might be helpful to others. I like Chipotle and have had very positive experiences at other locations. I tried this location (Jackson St at Ave 42 - Indio) for the first time. Before driving to the location, my wife and I chose items from their online menu. We chose the Whole30 Salad Bowl and the Keto Bowl, both of which are the first and second items listed on their online menu for this location. I drove to the location, waited in line and placed my order. The young lady taking my order had no idea what I was ordering. She turned and called out to another employee behind her and then to the employee working the register. She came back and asked me what was in each bowl and then told me those items were from the online menu. Frustrated, I pulled up the first item on my phone and realized this was not going to be an easy order, prep, pay and go situation. Since she was unfamiliar with either item, I knew the food would not turn out as pictured on the website. I decided it was too much effort for me to tell the Chipotle employee how to prepare a bowl advertised on their website. I chose another option for dinner. I'm mostly frustrated with the issue that an item can apparently be ordered online and delivered from this location and the employee preparing the food can magically have the knowledge to prepare these items for the online order but not have the knowledge to prepare the items if you show up in person. Weird! I hope the manager at this location can straighten this issue out for future encounters. read more

Worst chipotle ever. I have been to this location four times since moving to the area and by far the worst location I have ever been to. All four times they've been out of the fajita veggies and at least one other item, Plus everything else is low and the counter is dirty. The staff is also rude and immature acting! This is literally the first review I have ever made because I usually don't give a shit, and will just not go back to the restaurant if unsatisfied. That's how detestable this place is. read more

Very disappointed in my order today. Normally my orders are always accurate when I order through the mobile and pick it up, but this time is different. I ordered a burrito and requested what I wanted. Came home and looked at my burrito and wondering why It looked smaller. So I came across a couple of bites and they missed on mostly everything except for the chicken and rice but everything else from cheese, sour cream etc. I don't know what happened there, but looks like I won't be ordering my mobile orders in north Indio. I'll just continue with Monterey location least they pay attention and don't make that whole entire mistake. read more

I see this location has bad reviews which has shocked me because every time I go there the workers are over the top kind and helpful with my allergy requests. It's hard eating out and they have made me feel like I'm not a burden every time which I'm thankful for! Dunkin Donuts in that same area on the other hand almost killed me and they could care less. Thanks kind workers at this Chipotle location. I appreciate you and what you have done for me! read more

Someone needs to IMMEDIATELY teach the food preps how to cut the meat. My steak burrito was pure chunks of fat with absolutely no quality meat. How do you possibly serve that to a customer? Avoid this chipotle. 3rd time I've come for food and been let down. read more

They pretty much charge you $10 for a burrito that has more tortilla than it does the meat they promote on TV. The brisket was dry & tasted old. Same thing with the chicken. The only thing that tasted decent was the barbacoa. They stuff the burrito with a bunch of beans & rice to make it seem like your getting this great big burrito but in reality you can barely taste the meat inside it. Then to top it off you got these young kids working with faces like they don't want to be there. Super Unwelcoming. Never going back to this place. 0 stars. Management needs to step it up! read more
