This particular location really delivered as I came here for a special occasion- celebrating an awards show AS WELL AS celebrating coming to In-N-Out for the first time after a few years... I love the double double (protein wrap or with a bun), animal style, add raw onions, extra pickles and chilis on the side....fries extra crispy with extra spread...I'm ready to go back! In N Out is always reliable and that is why I keep coming back. I went late around ten or eleven at night and ordered my usual double double with animal style fries and a Neapolitan shake. Everything tasted exactly how it should. Same quality, same flavor, no matter which location you go to. The service was great and the food came out quickly even at that hour. A very efficient in n out location to visit! One of their less busy locations, I definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit if they are craving a burger and fries... Food (5/5) In n out is known for their consistency throughout all of their locations, and this location did not disappoint. I had a fairly complex order, but the workers here were able to make my order exactly how I wanted. I always try to get my food with no salt added and some locations tend to forget about that when I request that in my order, but this location made my order perfectly. (Definitely recommend anyone to get their fries/burgers with no salt added because it tastes just as good!) The burgers here were not smushed like some other locations have served me. The fries were also tasty even without the salt. Service (5/5) The workers here have always been extremely helpful and go out of their way to help out the customers dining here. My order was pretty complicated, but the cashier was patient and got my order correct without me having to repeat myself. The inside of the restaurant was very empty but there was a massive drive thru line that was wrapping around the parking lot when I dined inside so my order took about 5-10 minutes (I also had a customized order so I expected a longer wait time as well). Ambiance (5/5) The restaurant inside was pretty clean and there was a worker actively sweeping around while I was dining here. The condiments area was also surprisingly clean and not messy at all. If you love in-n-out raise your hand! ‍ If you appreciate their simple menu raise your hand! ‍ If you just spend half an hour in the drive thru with less than 10 cars in front of you raise your hand....‍ Needless to say I have been enjoying In-N-Out for years at all of the Desert's locations from Indio, to thousand palms, to the new la Quinta spot, and now the rancho mirage hub. While all of the locations have been completely spot on when it comes to their food, there is a standard or level quality food, great service, and no fuss speed that you come to expect at the BEST burger fast food restaurant. Emphasis on FAST. This visit was anything but! As we spent a minute short of half an hour waiting in the drive-thru. I don't know if it was because of a mixup in orders or maybe someone with an extra large order but I honestly never expected it to be this slow. Lesson learned I will just order inside if I ever have to visit this location, but to be honest, you might want to skip the drive-thru here and just go to the thousand palms or la Quinta location since you will probably get your food in the same amount of time. Two stars since the milkshakes we ordered still tasted good despite clearly having been made 25 minutes ago. Being a local to the Cochella Valley area, I knew that In & Out was going to open a location near where I live in Palm Desert, but this one is in Rancho Mirage. It's a classic from before going to see a movie near the river, coming here with family is something we never avoid doing. Not only do they serve good hamburgers, quality service and always with spectacular cleanliness. The only downside is that when they are very busy they take your orders very quickly which causes them to take the order or request that you want for your hamburger even though they repeat the order I don't know if they mark it on the screen very quickly. What a shame. After waiting in line for 25 minutes, I ordered a #2 for my friend and #3 for myself. Delivered his to him back at the casino in Rancho mirage and drive back to the theater across the street from you to wait for my son's movie to get out. I started eating my burger and grabbed a few fries and felt how hard they were and cold and when I turned my light on in my car, I saw how burnt they were. I called my friend and told him the fries are nasty and he said yeah they are gross. We both had hard, cold, over fried french fries. if I didn't have to wait in such a long line again I would go back with at least my order of fries and ask for a fresh hot order. I won't be coming back to this location at all!! I ordered a hamburger meal which comes with drink and fries. I spit out the burger when I felt something weird it was a long strand of hair mashed into the sauces and toppings in the burger. I took photos and notified customer service. They talk in circles. Workers are not required to fully cover their hair its enough that they have a hat like the silly hats they wear. read more

There was no line at this location and we got the food very fast. It was so fresh and everything tasted amazing. I got the number two cheeseburger animal style with fries and a root beer. First of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE In-N-Out Burger. I come to one whenever I am on the West Coast. The only thing I find is while they are pretty consistent, some are indeed better than others. This is one of the really good ones. Perfectly toasted bun and properly placed patties and condiments- believe me, it makes a difference! Bomb.com In-N-Out came in clutch after we attended a big event. We left a wedding and were still hungry. We saw this In-N-Out and decided this would be perfect. There was a line, per usual at any In-N-Out location. But they went pretty quick. Service was good. We ordered with the guy standing out front, holding a tablet. We ordered two animal style French fries (one with grilled onions and one without grilled onions), a grilled cheese (no grilled onions), a double double (with grilled onions), and a cheeseburger with grilled onions. Since moving away from California I've missed In m Out! I came here because of a conference I'm attending and I NEEDED burger fix. Thought about it all week, to be honest. I got in just before the lunch hour and it was a good thing. While I had to wait about 10 mins for my order, it would have been much longer to wait if I came 1/2 an hour later. BUT so worth it. I started with the fries while they were still hot but didn't wait too long before I tucked into my cheeseburger with grilled onions! OMG. Nectar of the Gods for sure. True confession: I ate the whole burger which for me is an accomplishment. So the only question I have is...will I pop over for another before I fly home again? I didn't want to believe the reviews but they were right. The service here is terrible. Not that the employees are doing a bad job or are rude but the speed at which they work is mind numbingly slow. There was certainly a shortage of staff. At almost all other in n out locations there are a dozen people working at any given time and this place had 6. 3 in the kitchen. 2 taking orders and one packaging things. This is why the food was cold by the time I got it. It sat waiting to be packaged. I ordered at 11:40pm and left at 12:14am. There is no good reason it should have taken that long. Love the in-n-out, we all do. Not all, but some of the staff at this location wouldn't know how to break a smile if you gave them a manual written in smiley faces (Alijah). The guy obviously doesn't want to be working there. It's also extremely disappointing after waiting 20 min for the food (happy to wait it's great) to have ZERO ketchup available. After alerting the staff behind the counter...nothing. After alerting the staff on the floor, blank stares and they go to test the ketchup machine like I'm making it up. First time in CA for me and so I had to try In-N-Out. Love the very simple and straightforward menu. First off the the prices are extremely reasonable for quality of food. I think my burger was less than $4.00, I ordered a bun-less, onion bun double-double. I felt a little weird asking for the onion bun and there seem to be some confusion when I was ordering so I defaulted to asking for a Flying Dutchman. After waiting a bit I was happy to see my original order landed correctly. Service was pleasant and interior was clean. Only downside is that I couldn't find any napkins stocked so I grabbed some paper towels from the bathroom. The burger was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned.
