I eat and order here oftentimes while I am at work. I ordered here online for pick up. Last Friday, May 3rd. I ordered a steak burrito bowl with extra steak. However, when I got back to work and opened my bowl, there was no extra steak. I tried calling the restaurant but was unable to get anyone on the phone. So I just sucked it up and left it alone. Fast forward to today, I ordered the same thing, but this time, I checked my bowl before leaving the restaurant, and again, no extra steak. So I explained what happened previously to this nice young man by the name of CJ and he explained that they had new employees who were working in the back making the online orders and that they were still being trained. He did give me the extra steak. Although the food was fresh and good both times, the restaurant was clean And CJ was very friendly and accommodating. Please be careful ordering food from this location especially if you place an online order. Based on current employees, their managers: Elsa Sandoval & Cindi Montecino has instructed the employees not to add in extra if the customers made the request to add extra. Second, these two Managers are discriminatory towards their employees who are not of Hispanic Latin, Spanish origin and does not speak Spanish- most of their employees are of Latin, Hispanic, Spanish background. They are known to call these employees "Gringas", single them out, and speak to them in condescending manner. They create a hostile work environment for these employees. The statement made by Laurie Schalow is incorrect based on Chipotle employees: "There have been no changes in our portion sizes, and we have reinforced proper portioning with our employees." One of the best ways to tackle this would be to have a Digital Kitchen Scale to make sure customers are getting what they are paying for and there wouldn't be any inconsistent portion sizes. Similar to the conundrum faced by Indiana Jones in recognizing and selecting the right chalice as the Holy Grail, locating the Chipotle with the freshest brown rice, carnitas, steak, peppers & onions, sour cream, and guacamole, can be daunting. Although this Chipotle, located between the turnoff for Lake Artemesia and the turnoff for Beltway Plaza in Greenbelt, Maryland, does not guarantee health and long life like the Grail, at least as far as I know, their entrees will whet your appetite and induce you to return over and over again. Five Yelp stars for excellent customer service at this Chipotle location. I was running in to get carry out and there was a line, yet I was only in there about 5 minutes. The servers were fast and efficient. They were also masked up and hair tied back in a sanitary fashion and not checking their phones (see my previous Chipotle in Lutherville review). I got an extra surprise at the checkout by Lorenzo (I think? It was the name on the receipt, but you can't always be sure that is who actually rang you up). He noticed my badge when I took out my money and he offered to give me a law enforcement discount, which I really appreciated. What did I order, you ask? Same. As. Always. Chicken Soft Tacos with salsa, cheese, sour cream and lettuce! Lettuce now talk about the other order I placed. Chipotle has a new plant based Chorizo. It was good consistency and texture, spiced like Chorizo, and not overpowering on the flavor. Mixed in a bowl of brown rice, black beans, lettuce, and corn salsa..................not bad! This was a quick stop while in the area. I really wanted to try the cauliflower rice in my burrito bowl. I have been doing a low carb diet so was quite excited that this option was now available. I thought the cauliflower rice was too salty. I've been drinking lots of water the rest of the day! Other than that, I liked the cilantro and lime flavor. Food was pretty standard but their lack of time management and inefficiency balancing walk ins and online orders during an off peak hour (3pm) has led me to this review. I stood in line with just 3 people in front of me. But it took at least 10 minutes for the person in front of me to even complete their order to get the line moving. As I stool online for 25-30 minutes, I watch the link behind me, go from 2 people to 12 people wrapping around the store. I still hadn't even gotten to the front to order. I paid for my food before my order was even complete (because they had moved several more online orders in front of me) and I bagged my own food because honestly they look like they needed the help and it was one less thing I had to wait for them to do. As a walk in customer, I should not spend more than 30 minutes in a fast food establishment unless I'm dining in. read more

Man, Chipotle is just not the same anymore. This was my first time eating at a Chipotle in a while, for various reasons with one being their health scare. Maybe I've been away too long, but the food is just not as good anymore. I ordered the bowl-salad with chicken, black beans, veggies, chips and guacamole. The only thing that was good to me was the guacamole. This particular location is hit or miss with service. I haven't had any major issues, but I've witnessed some major attitudes given to customers. Also, depending on the server, they are not as generous as they used to be. In one instance, I ordered tacos and asked for corn salsa and they literally dropped about 3 kernels of corn on each taco. Though it was comical, I had to put a little bass in my voice and demand they give me more; which means a lot coming from me. They also give very small amounts of salad dressing in their containers. I mean, I get it. It's a business. But, you almost lost the business, so treat the people right and show that you appreciate the loyalty! There are a lot more good options these days, so I don't think you will miss out on anything if you skip out on this Chipotle. read more

I waited in line watched them pile chicken on the orders in front - when it was my turn they scooped one spoonful after I watched the young lady put three spoons on the other orders. I asked for more, she ignored my request, I asked again, she ignored I went with the rest of my order of corn, harbenero sauce- she scoops the hot sauce, I said that's okay I wanted the the habenero and said I also asked for more chicken and she said that will be extra... okay. I am watching to see if they charge extra for the guy in front of me... NO Extra charge. Ring up my order $2.50 extra for the extra spoon of chicken. KEEP it!!! Very busy location, but one that has a full staff and balances orders between online and walk-ins. Sometimes there's a wait even when you pre-ordered and have a cushion of time between the order being ready and you picking it up, so plan on a little extra time. I wanna give this store a good review. I've visited this location many times and never had a complaint. Today was different. I got a burrito bowl. As I got a fork of black beans, something very hard and kind of metallic tasting was in there. I spit it out and it was a tiny black rock. I wish I would have took a pic of it. It kinda freaked me out but also I needed to tell them to pull those beans from the line. I spoke to the manager and he immediately proceeded to give me a refund. I'm thankful for a refund, but he didn't seem to care there was a rock or some extremely hard object in their food. I asked him if he was going to pull the beans from the line but he just said oh we will have to look at where we got the item. It really sounded like he didn't care at all. I ordered from this restaurant yesterday 02/21/20 and we ordered on the app. My sister got a vegetarian burrito and I got a burrito bowl. As she lives across the street we ordered pickup and went back home. The burrito bowl was fine a little skimpy on the main ingredients but well topped with the tomatoes and beans to make up for it. My sisters burrito was fine though also skimpy on the main. When we went to pick up it was there and all and all we have no complaints about the food. The actual dining area could have been a little cleaner as there was a puddle of something and some trash but it was pretty packed and could have happened a minute before we came in. If you go here and don't want to wait I highly suggest the pickup. If we wanted to eat in there it wouldn't have happened as the tables were full. read more

I love Chipotle, but after seeing what a staff did at this Greenbelt location, this makes me question the entire establishment. This staff was highly unhygienic; continuously wiping the dirty counter with her gloved hands, then without changing the gloves picks up lettuce and cheese to place on customers' bowls. The manager was there, and to all of them it was normal. If anyone ever gets food poisoning or a case of diarrhea after eating from this Chipotle, well now you know why. Sometimes people are too busy chatting it up with friends on Chipotles' long lines, that we do not catch these types of disgusting staff habits. The sanitary thing to do is either have paper towel handing for the staff that they can use to wipe the counters; wiping counters with your hands, then touching food that people are about to eat is not sanitary.
