Needing to get a quick meal before heading home I found this location. Before coming here I ordered on the app and pulled up to the drive thru. There wasn't much of a line in the drive thru, but I waited my turn to pull up and tell them I had a mobile order. I sat there and waited for a few minutes until it was my turn at the window. Once at the window, I was handed my drink first, they got it right. Then my food came next. Before pulling away I checked the bag for accuracy, surprisingly they got it right as well. Food was on par for the chain. Service wasn't horrible. The lot wasn't packed, but exiting here was a bit of a challenge. You exit out onto a street that has a traffic signal. If the light is red, you may have to wait a while to be able to get out on the road. read more

This McDonald's should be a standard for all McDonald's. It's always clean and well lit. The food is cooked properly and brought out promptly. If there is a problem it's dealt with quickly. The customer service in the Drive-Thru was borderline rude to say the least. The young lady taking the orders was kind of abrupt and came across kind of rude. I asked for a quarter pounder with cheese no ketchup no mustard light Mac sauce when I got to the window I also asked the young lady to make sure that they put light mac sauce on my sandwich there was a communication barrier so she really didn't understand what I was asking for so then she speaks in Spanish to someone telling them little mac sauce I get to the window and of course my sandwich was already made so I open the box and my sandwich of course it's slathered with Mac sauce. I did not have time to go into the restaurant to fix this so when I got to work I had to scrape some of it off. My drink was not filled to the top this always happens at this McDonald's you have to ask them to go back and fill it up again I didn't have time to wait because the line was long and I had to get back to work in the future I will go inside so that I can check my food properly before leaving the restaurant. Normally I would check my food before I drive away. I just had to get back to work. At least the fries were hot. They do need to work on the communication because everyone that works at this location is mainly Spanish and they don't understand English that well. When you are speaking to them and making your request whether that's at the window or at the counter. They don't understand you. They really need to work on the communication piece. read more

This review has been a long time coming and it is mostly based on the customer service. I go to this McDonald's 90% of the time, simply because their service is unmatched. They greet, every time! They say, have a nice day, every time! The food is fresh (well as fresh as McDonald's can be), every time! Quiet and usually empty except on weekends when the older people would come in for breakfast. The customer service was not that friendly, and you usually waited longer than normal because most people were working the drive-through, where the majority of the customers are. Greenbelt, in general, seems to be aging out. The customer service is not great, nether is the variety of stores and restaurants. They are trying to modernize it with new development, but it is slow in coming. 9/18/21 The changes of McDonald's has come a long way.  The yellow and red roofs are gone from my days as a kid to adult.  The way you order your food has changed too.  More and more Kiosks are presented to take your order if you walk into the establishment.  This is one way to cut down on the cost for hourly employees and hourly managment.   Most of the crew are in the kitchen and this is where most of workers work.  Every once in a while someone  check the lobby area to see if there are customers.   Drive thru and kitchen area are the biggest areas to cover.  This is just how it it...for now. McDonald's - 9/18/21 Our first stop on a bridge to nowhere - Fast Food Near Me - Berwyn Heights, Maryland

I'm not sure if the employees here can't read or really don't care about their jobs- I have been to McDonalds maybe 4 times in the last decade. This location was rebuilt last fall and I was craving a burger on my birthday..the Wendy's line was ridiculous, so was BK so this was literally a last ditch effort to just not have to cook. I ordered a Big Mac, 2 cheeseburgers, large fry and 6 piece nuggets with the intention of it all lasting at least 2 days. I ordered extra pickles, and told them to surprise me with a nugget sauce because I didn't want to hold the line up asking questions. While the receipt was correct, and the stickers on cheeseburgers said extra pickle, one had two, the other three...the Big Mac sticker said NO pickle extra cheese- The fries were half filled and cold, soggy, limp with zero ketchup and NO dipping sauce for the nuggets. The Pics are right when I got home, less than a mile away. Fries went to the squirrels- the rest was just nasty. I don't understand how people could like this. There are a couple of things that you can use to score a McDonald's and yes, it's possible for a McD's to be five stars. We're comparing it with what it is - a fast food restaurant with strict standards. Is it clean? Is the parking lot tidy? Is it easy to get into and out of? Did the crew take your order promptly? Was your order accurate? Was your food what it was supposed to be? Was the condiments counter clean and stocked? If you used it, was the bathroom clean? So with all of that to rank the place, this was a four star McDonald's experience. The place was mostly clean, the counter person who took my order had some issues with English, my breakfast order was accurate (I'm pretty sure that the Egg White Delight combo doesn't come with a hash brown but mine did). I do not know why they tore down the old building because the NEW ugly box with 2 drive through ordering system built in 2019 is awful. Their so called better/faster replacement drive thru simply sucks. You will be waiting 50 seconds or 3 minutes to GIVE your order while the next drive up person has pulled up, ordered immediately and gets in front of you in line even though you have been waiting for someone to take your order and even thought the system was broken. BONK! Unsafe pick up and parking. Too many transient druggies roaming their outdoor space to see who they can hit up. Rude employees. Why have an attitude when I asked YOU nicely to give me condiments, then YOU do not give me ketchup with the fries?? TOO often WRONG, sloppy and careless on their orders either delivered or at the drive up window. I just go to Wendy's across the street and avoid the ordering hassle and people pestering me while I wait for the food. They went from a rock star fast food place, with efficient and friendly staff to total duds, and they were that way before the pandemic. read more

Sorry to pick on the local McDonald's for a corporate failure, but I think it is a YUGE failure. My son received a McDonald's gift card for Christmas. It cannot be used for online ordering! Fine, so can it be presented at the drive through window? Website won't answer in any FAQ, but card fine print assures me that none are required to do so. Fine again, I simply submit a question to corporate "Where in my zip code is the card accepted?" They offer no list for me, and their dismissive response is that most franchise owners are independent. No good. Don't they ask? Don't willing owners provide that? Not A-ok but not as bad as the College Park location. I think they're getting the hang of the dual drive-thru lanes since the new building was constructed but I've gotten the wrong order 9 out of 10 times, they have created a clusterf*ck IMO. Food is okay, standard, again, way better than the CP location. Let's hope the new employees continue to improve and some shining stars rise to the top and manage/train the others. The drive-through is usually crowded, most likely because it's the last fast-food restaurant before you get on the Beltway. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to order and get your food. McDonalds is McDonalds but the only reason I am reviewing this location is their breakfast crew is spot on and hard working. And the breakfast food always comes out hot and fast. Standard McDonald's fare. Nothing super out of norm. Moderately clean. Drive through gets busy at times. Service is good. No standard soda machine upgrade(read: you can't fill up your own sodas) I find it just slightly inconvenient at times, especially when it's busy... 24/7 drive through service is a plus though. (6:50pm) Today is French fry Friday and family day for my family and I stopped by McDonald's to buy fries for my baby girls. I overlooked the line and when I made it to the order speaker I requested two large fries, a 10 piece McNuggets, and a large frozen strawberry lemonade. After paying, I went to the 2nd window and was greeted by a respectful and professional young gentleman that immediately apologized because although the food was ready, the frozen lemonade machine had to be serviced. After patiently waiting at the window in excess of 6 minutes, I was disturbed by a loud rude voice saying 'Can we park him, all the the other orders, they ready!' I look up through an open drive through window to see a woman looking over bags of food, two feet away from me, not bothering to look up at me after making such a rude comment. Am I a customer or a car? The drive through attendant explains to her while whispering that the drink was ready and immediately passed it to me. I responded to him 'please tell me that that wasn't a manager, to which he responded who? After I repeated her comment, I he said yes she is. The evening/night manager at this location (heavy set African American woman) is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Please consider patronizing another location or even better yet get in the long line at Chick-fil-a in Lanham where you are guaranteed to get respectful, considerate, and fast customer service! read more

Stay away from this McDonald's - or watch your money when you pay! I handed the woman at the register a $20.00 bill and she provided change for only $10.00. Before I could say anything, she took off to the back of the store. I tried to get someone's attention to get help, but it took a few minuets before anyone else came over to the register. By the time they found the woman who took my money - she swore I only handed her $10.00, before I could even say anything. How would she know what the problem was so quickly??? The crew manager checked the register and it didn't come up short, which it wouldn't if the woman who took my money pocketed it. I'm not sure what happened, but I only had twenty dollar bills on me as I had just taken money out from my bank account and the machine only gave me twenty dollar bills. I called McDonalds corporate and they took the information and told me someone would contact me - but over a week later and I haven't heard from anyone!
