This was hands down the WORST customer service I've ever experienced at any Chick-fil-A. If you're considering visiting the Vista Gardens Marketplace location in Bowie, Maryland, do yourself a favor and avoid it. The management here is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I placed a mobile order for large fries and a drink. When I received my fries, they weren't filled to the top, so I asked Yamileth (Hispanic woman and one of the managers) if they could be topped off. Instead of accommodating my request, she rudely refused and pushed the bag toward me. I then asked another manager, Lee (Caucasian woman), for help. She not only refused, but stated she stood by Yamileth and wouldn't assist either. All of this drama was over something as simple as French fries. It gets worse. I called customer service while still in the store, hoping to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing my concerns, Yamileth, Lee, and another staff member gathered behind the counter, sipping Starbucks drinks and completely ignoring me. They couldn't have cared less. What really took the cake was when Lee saw I hadn't taken the fries from the counter, and she actually threw them in the trash! She then refused to give me a refund. So, I left with only my drink, no fries, and a total lack of respect. I've been to this location before and never had issues, especially when the other manager, Francisco, was present. But on this day, Yamileth and Lee were shockingly rude and petty. It was as if they took joy in making the situation difficult and making sure I left with no food. Honestly, it felt like they were too comfortable disrespecting me, a Black customer, in a predominantly Black area. This is by far the worst Chick-fil-A staff in the county. This is a new Chik Fil a is in the newly constructed Woodmore Commons shopping center at the corner of St. Joseph Dr.and Landover Rd I chose to go to the drive thru. There is a double drive thru and there were 3 employees walking up to cars talking orders. The order process was pretty smooth. But it took way too long for me to get my food. I was in the right lane. It seemed to me that cars in the left lane, which is closer to the building, was moving much smoother. Good Evening, I'm writing to express my horrible experience with your Chick Fil A location in Bowie, MD (10631 Martin Luther King Jr Hwy Bowie, MD 20720).  I ordered a small strawberry frozen lemonade, a market salad and a medium fry for myself and my young daughter. Upon leaving the store and giving my daughter her food, she took two sips of her drink and found a bug in it.  So I returned to the store to inform the manager, Josh, that there was a bug in my daughter's drink and was met with skepticism and puzzlement like I was lying, when you can clearly see the bug in the drink. I even moved the straw around and in disgust found 1-2 more bugs. Of course this left a bad taste in my mouth and loss of appetite for my entire meal, so I requested a refund. Josh declined a full refund. I then proceeded to record the situation, because as a customer, I was being mistreated about my complaint and the food that I paid for. Josh stood his ground further and said he could not service me because I was recording.  So I then asked how I'm going to be compensated because not only was there bugs in my daughter's drink, my food turned cold because I had to turn around to get back to the store - I had already driven 5-10 minutes out before having to turn back around. Another manager stepped in, offering to assist with the issue, but it wasn't to my satisfaction. After agreeing to a refund, they refunded me incorrectly for the items that I did not order/purchase. I spent $29.14 and was only refunded $18 and left without food because the other manager threw all the food away. When I explained that the amount was incorrect, he said the receipt was already in the trash and refused to rectify the situation. I'm an avid, repeat customer of Chick Fil A and one thing I can attest to is the top tier customer service and I know you hold your staff to a high standard. However, I have never received such terrible customer service and I won't be returning to this location ever again. I am currently pregnant at 31 weeks and I knew I could not make a trip home without getting food. My order went through with a minute to spare. Unfortunately, the drive-through was closed. The staff surprise me! They were so hospitable. They told me to sit in a parking lot they will come and assist me. When they came over, I was greeted by Jordan. She informed me that my order did not go through the system, she saw that I was pregnant and I was hungry. She informed me that she will speak to her manager and see what she could do. This location was so packed on a regular week day afternoon. It was super cold so the outside heater box was not in use. So the line took forever. I made my order and got to the window to see that they did not put the order in right. I always ask for 12 honey roasted bbq packs (obsessed). I get to the window and my order was still not ready and I had to ask for more sauce which took a good two minutes but after waiting 20 to just order it was a painful 2 minutes. The employees were not the typical over excited and over nice employees. The food was delicious as always so I will say, it's unfair for me to rate them low given that the product is always good. Update: Wowzers, came back and had the worst service ever. I mean what is going on with the Chick-Fil-A franchise. I ordered my meals and asked for Large drinks. When I get to the window the lady has medium drinks I asked to upgrade. I got the rolling eyes and her asking the other girl to fix it. You would have thought I asked for them to move a mountain. I am watching them from my car. I see the girl who redid the drink smirk and say something to the girl at the window. I'm thinking they spit in the drink because the girl at the window laughed. Once entering the restaurant, no one was in line and I walked straight to the register. I waited about 2 minutes and no one acknowledged me. However, one guy (possibly a supervisor) made eye contact with me numerous times but never spoke. I noticed that everyone was busy doing something so the wait wasn't a huge deal. When the guy who made eye contact, walked away he asked me, did I need assistance (as if he didn't see me standing there for 2 minutes with my 2 year old on my hip). My response was, "Yes because noone has helped me". He proceeded to walk off while commenting with an attitude, "I was going to take your order but she can do it (pointing at a different cashier)". This was witnessed by another customer who was picking up an order. I said a few choice words about his customer service and attitude and proceeded to order. A few minutes later, the owner walked in and I informed him of the situation. I made it clear that it wasn't about the wait time but about someone in a supervisory role being so ignorant and rude. He claimed he would address it. It's very disappointing that the only time I have ever had poor customer service at Chick-fil-A is in a predominantly black neighborhood. Do we not deserve excellent customer service? I work hard to live in a nice area and deserve to be treated nicely. However regardless of where you live and who you are, you deserve the same exceptional service. This supervisor/employee has really ruined my overall experience and rating of Chick-fil-A. I often bragged about how great their customer service is. Under new management with a lot of new workers, comes new rules and practices. Let's exhibit case 1: This location makes salads on Monday so throughout the week you can get a salad whenever. On feb 19 2021 I was told they don't have salads during breakfast and the young lady taking my order had a whole attitude like I was insulting Mr. Chik-fila. So then I ask can ask can I have a fruit cup with all blueberries. When I arrived to the window I was asked to pull to the side. When I checked the bag I noticed I had a fruit cup labeled only blueberries, this cup look like someone handpicked all the fruit out and left only 3 strawberries and 2 blue berries. I was disappointed so I went to the window and they told me new owner changed a lot of stuff. What a sad day.....I gotta find a new location now read more

There is always, and I mean alwayssss a long line both inside and in the drive through at this location. Buttttt Chick-fil-a is worth the wait! Long lines mean they have to keep everything moving and the food is consistently fresh/not sitting out for long periods of time. So, I can't really complain! This location is pretty close to home so it's the one that I go to the most. The cashiers have always been really kind and attentive. No complaints! I wish the parking lot was a little bigger because the long drive through lines pretty much take up the whole thing - so if you actually want to park and go inside, chances are you'll have to wait for the drive through line to move along in order to move out of your parking spot. read more

I come to this location a lot because it's the closest to my boyfriend's house. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I come to this Chick-fil-a expecting it to be different and they never are. Service is always slow. Yesterday, I came in for a large Icedream (their soft serve is really good!) and it took more than 5 mins to get it. How a long does it take to put ice cream in a cup?? When I finally asked for my ice cream, they handed it to me. It had been sitting on the back counter and no one bothered to hand it over the counter. And when they did hand it over, they seemed to have an attitude that I wanted to know where my ice cream was even though it was ready and just melting away on a back counter. The drive thru sucks. It's always a long line, which makes parking on the lot hard because the cars in line block you in from getting out. It's better to park across the lot toward the Shoppers and walk to go inside. The only reason I give this location 2 stars is because Chick-fil-a has great food. But all the stress to get it is not worth it. read more

This location in Vista Gardens on MLK Highway in Lanham MD needs to clean house and start over. The customer service is the worst and the managers are not present although they may be inside the building but the lack of customer service by the employees is completely overlooked by management. This is a popular location because of the surrounding neighborhood and the proximity to the major highways of I-495 and Rt 50. Therefore there is usually a line and brief wait to be served. However while the amount of customers they serve is high, the customer service ranks at the lowest levels. The staff members are non-attentive to customers, lack patience with customers, are not familiar with the menu when asked questions, and are often busy conversing about their friends and school activities and graduation dates when they should be attending to customers. I have heard employees mocking customers when they speak and witnessed them laughing at customers when they ask questions about menu items. I find this behavior rude and disrespectful and wish you would employ people with integrity. Totally dissatisfied customer. Clean house and start over. read more

Come along for this ride... so a couple of months ago my husband and I ordered two meals in the drive thru. We usually check the bag before we pull off but due to overconfidence we didn't this time,big mistake! When we got home (15 mins away) we realized they only gave us one order of fries!! Omg!!! But there are 2 of us, oh the horror!!! So we called the manager and she was nice enough to put our name on a "list" to receive a free meal... Fast forward to today... we go to redeem the meal and the name is nowhere to be found. What?! We gave them first and last name and they tell us someone redeemed the first name but there is no record of that persons last name. Again, what?! What does that have to do with us? Hot juicy chicken breast and crunchy breading, a few crunchy slices of pickle...add a little Chick-fil-A sauce and you're golden. Or splurge and get the deluxe sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce. Normally, I wouldn't give 4 stars unless something impressed me, and something did: these people are FAST. There's a sign at the drive thru that says to please have your payment ready, and that's no joke. We zoomed in and out in two shakes of a chicken's feathers. Between ordering at the menu board, having an employee take our money, and driving off with food, I could have held my breath without getting worried. And there were people in front of us. It was that fast. So this location doesn't have better food, per se, but we've been here several times and zoomed through each time. And that's worth something. read more

Kid friendly. Fast. Delicious. And great customer service! The play-place is always a hit with the kids. You can enjoy your food and keep an eye on them while they let off some steam. It's never too crowded. I wouldn't trust a small child alone in there because the bigger kids tend to get a little carried away sometimes. The little ones might get hurt. But it's fun. It's like a small obstacle course type enclosure with slides. It's amazing how many Chick-Fil-A's there are in this area and it seems they all have Drive thru options! This is awesome for moments when one kid is sleeping and the other is hungry. And mom wants a milkshake! :-) This is the reason I like Chick-Fil-A above most fast food places. Their strawberry milkshakes are amazing. This location is in a shopping center that has a Beauty Supply Store, Shoppers, Target, Home Depot and a few other stores. Great if you need to run errands. With that being said I frequently am a customer of the drive thru and I have been displeased as of recent with their accuracy and efficiency. The line was wrapped around the parking lot. So I sat there and sat there...thinking about how much faster it would have been to catch the chicken, kill him and fry him myself. This is my favorite location in the DMV in PG County. It's the fastest location. Everybody is nice and accommodating as usual for CFA but the Latinx door greeter guy named Victor (wears a tennis-elbow brace sometimes) is the best and literally welcomes every single guest that comes through the door. What can I say about good ol Chick-Fil-A...I have always received good service at this location and any other location I've visited. Rarely can I say this but they have yet to get one order incorrect or serve a bad meal and I have been here on and off for years. They are very personable to be such a small establishment so to speak versus the big restaurants. I really like how they take your name when you order and call you to pick up your food once it's ready and/or locate your table accordingly and bring it to if you are dining in. My favorite meal is simple...the chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a half and half (lemonade and ice tea). My fries are always hot, crispy and yummy as well as my sandwich. The milkshakes are great and so is the lemonade! They have drinks that offer seasonally which are pretty good as well. If you like sweet and sour sauce you will love there! Polynesian Sauce and if you are a mustard kind of person you can get that too! Customer service is always exceptional here. They put there staff through rigorous weeks of training before placing them on the floor, kitchen or register and it truly pays off! Make note that they are open 6 days out of the week and closed EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY. Majority of there locations have dual drive thru lines which tend to move pretty quickly. Beware that during the peak of breakfast and lunch hours it can get hectic but they are pretty good with moving things along swiftly. read more

I tried to call the Vista Bowie store TODAY at 7 pm several times. Someone hung up the phone everytime. I had come in to place an order for a tray and find that unacceptable. The Team Leader on duty, Dadrien, apologized but was extremely nonchalant. There were also a bunch of kids laughing and playing while handling food. I heard a few curse words from a few team members. When I came back to pick up the tray, the team leader did not show any regard by telling the cashier, "oh her order is over there," while counting a till in public view. Someone at work saw me bring a Chick-fil-a salad in to work with me. She suggested that I go to Cosi because it is so good. I went to Cosi and ended up spending about 20 bucks for my whole meal.
