Why is this Closter location so dirty?? The place was practically empty, yet all the tables were dirty. Papers and napkins on floors.

I don't know why I have returned here. You place an online order and the kids working behind the counter always forget the guacamole, the chips or both. It's printed on a piece of paper so I don't understand why it's so hard to train them correctly. Off to Hackensack from now on. read more

Go-to spot for a quick bite. Solid take-out service.

This is a poor excuse of an establishment. They are only allowing people to pickup orders, which were so delayed, people were waiting for up to an hour. There was absolutely no observance of social distancing or COVID-19 guidelines- the health department should shut them down. read more

The quality of food is getting worse... I made online order. They put really old guacamole in burritos and side order of guacamole. Its very disappointing. We aren't going back!! read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - The food isn't fresh. All the guacamole was really old. - Fast Food Near Me - Closter, New Jersey

Wow...so disappointed by the service. These ppl don't care and act like they're doing you a favor by serving you food. Like they feel superior to you because they're allowing you to eat at their restaurant. Hello??...I'm paying for this food, it's not free. I asked for condiments and they said "NO" with a straight face. Are you serious?? I don't mind paying extra but why am I denied?? If your dressing is so precious, why don't you start charging extra instead of telling your customers they can't enjoy their food the way they want. I love Chipotle but I know I won't be coming back here ever again...sad. read more

I went here twice. Chipotle has good and tasty food, the problem with this branch is the staff. Just like what other reviewers are saying, you will have second thoughts going back to this place because of the staff. It feels like, you are giving them a burden for buying something from them. The cashier is quite OK but the staff doing the salad, OMG, they just don't care. Attention to the owner, please do an anonymous buyer and investigate who among the staff are doing this horrible service.Lots of people without jobs, stop hiring these people who just wants a paycheck and don't care about their work. read more

Food is decent. But service is absolutely terrible. They switch from in person walk ins to mobile order only at their own will. I wanna go in for a burrito and am shocked when I see the mobile order only sign on the door, when the day before I walked in no problem. They close whenever they want and with no warning. read more

I came to chipotle earlier today expecting the same kind of service i get at every other chipotle. Not enough food on my bowl. But today was different. Not sure if he's new or what because i never saw him until today but the asian guy that took my order gave me a good and reasonable portion amount and even asked me whenever he scooped if it was enough. Very professional! Honestly though I don't like the fact that i overheard one of his coworkers scold him for putting too much. He did what he did right. I don't understand the point of scolding him for that. read more

There is an asian male working at this chipotle on saturdays 4-9. He is very dedicated in his works to exchange the white AND brown rice, as well as a great skill for scooping chicken. I definitely would ask for this employee to be my daughters husband. (Description: small eyes and 5' 5" read more

Came on a rainy day to pick up an online order. Shocked by the level of customer service. A number of confused customers were standing inside trying to get their orders. None of the employees were communicating with us. No one was calling out order names. People had to keep coming up to bags to figure out whose order it was. How is that safe during COVID? read more

The service here is absolutely unacceptable. I have called in advance multiple times and have never spoken with an employee- i have paid for additional rice or other foods and received even less than a normal proportion. In addition to their lack of effort, my meals are consistently late- did i forget to mention that they gave me guacamole instead of sour cream... I would add onto to my list of complaints but it's not worth it cause i will not be returning to this location. read more

I ordered some tacos but when they got here the order was barely correct:( and even tho it was still good I would NOT order again.

in a nice area, there is parking lot parking. never had a problem here although it gets busy.

The worst chipotle experience I've ever had. Sadly it's a new location, in an updated mall with a new Starbucks next door. Such potential. Staff is not trained, can't cook the fajita vegetables right, red onions were all raw. Packed a kids meal, put salsa instead of corn which was shown on the online order receipt, and didn't put the chips or drink until I asked for it. The Chips were all small crumbs, not a single large chip. They made half a burrito and half a salad, but put it aside for a bit, as ingredients ran out ....needless to say the burrito got cold. Until management steps in and fixes these problems, the staff, proper food preparation, etc. STAY AWAY!!! read more

This place is apparently not fastfood chain. It takes 40 minutes to get food and staffs here are extremely not productive. The quality of food and amount are very inconsistent compared to other locations. Messy place with no employee guidelines and culture. Never again. Avoid to save your time and money. There is BK across the street and they do excellent job as if the employees treat what they do as a real job. Too bad i have to give one star. I wish if there is a zero star option here. read more

Absolutely ridiculous service. Promised time of pickup was 3:00 and I'm standing here at 3:35 right now still after asking them three times why my order is still lost. The staff is also extremely condescending and rude. I'm not the only one, other people are also standing around with me, just as upset. read more

I have been at this new location twice. In short, the overall experience has been terrible. I love chipotle however the staff and service here are not great. They did not have the rice I wanted, they burnt my tortilla, there was burnt bits in my chorizo and an avocado peel in the guacamole. The staff was not friendly. read more

Exactly what you would expect from any Chipotle. Food tastes the same as any other location - there are long lines at certain times and occasionally-inconsistent portion sizes in the bowl. Guac has always been fresh and more often than not they have been rather generous with it. I've done both pickup and order in. Pickup has always been ready by said time, waiting on the shelf, warm, with all parts of my order in it. The order-in line moves rather quick, and when you get to the "selections" counter, staff moves at a slightly above average pace, but definitely not slow or frustrating. I saw some other reviews that people were unhappy with the staff but I'm not sure what you expect from a make your own place? The employees are there to hear what you want, put it in the bowl/burrito/taco and move on to the next step/customer as fast as possible. It is ultimately an assembly line of food - their goal is efficiency and speed not customer service. That's not to say they should be rude, but personally I don't expect them to be smiley or even friendly when they're trying to output - if anything I find a slight correlation between friendly and slow vs "rude" and fast. Personally as a customer, I'm just looking to get my food as fast as possible, but each his own. The only problem I have ever had there was on free guac day when the Chipotle site was down and I ordered in. Online it said free only on the side, but when I got there and ordered a side of guac and asked if they would honor it, they told me it's only free if in the bowl not on the side. I disputed it saying online said side only and no one made it clear it had to be in the bowl in person or I would have ordered it that way. The cashier called over a manager and she honored it anyway, although both looked rather frustrated doing so. I'll cut them some slack; I understand this was a busy day and the site being down did not help, but help yourselves and make policies clear or don't be frustrated when it happens. Overall still a great Chipotle and very happy to have this location open. read more

Every time every damn time I order from the place they forget something. Usually my salad dressing. WHATS THE POINT OF THE SALAD WITHOUT THE DRESSING?! This place already has only two stars and boy I hope this review brings it down to one. Every time I call they just say sorry there's nothing I can do. PUT SALAD DRESSING IN THE BAG!!! read more

there is really nothing i don't like about chipotle. i usually order on the app and pick it up in the store. when i learned about this new location i was excited because it's way closer to my house. the people are really nice every time i go. one time i ordered on the app and it wasn't ready when i came to pick it up. they apologized and gave me a free soda too!! love this place read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Fast Food Near Me - Closter, New Jersey

People who work on the line really need to speak up when they communicate with customers. They will mumble when taking orders, then when you cant hear them, they snap at ya like its your fault. Heck, they even had trouble understanding each other. Overall, most of them acted like they dont want to be there. I just want a damn burrito and dont want all the drama! 1 star for service, 5 stars for food because Chipotle is Chipotle. So 3 stars average. read more

As usual Chipotle's food is really good. The people there are fine, but I found a bone in my chicken.

Seriously rethink ordering from here in the app. Pick up time is never ready in time. Most of the time they just say they just received the order. Are you kidding??? read more

you fucking morons you charged me twice for food that wasn't even mine. your lucky i don't come back and yell at the lady that couldn't even count the money. feel bad for the other guy i payed for because theres barely if not rations in both bowls anyway!. might as well eat fuckin both for a full stomach, not like you know how to simply scoop a spoon full of food to begin with read more

Is there a negative star rating? I have never written a review of a restaurant, but this is so terrible I feel I should warn people. We just got two chicken burritos for takeout. We asked for mild. They were so hot as to be inedible. Two hours later, my tongue is burning and the skin around my mouth as well. After two bites they went straight into the garbage- I wouldn't abuse an animal by feeding them to the dog..Needless to say, we won't be returning. But what a rip off. read more

Manager was truly awful. Standing there doing nothing, yet could not come talk to me when I asked. The ONLY store manager in the entire strip mall who did not bother to see what I was raising $ for. So sorry I bought a gift card there earlier. Next time I'm taking my business to Rudys or Bareburger---both who care about the Closter community. Chipotle, you blew it. read more

Corrosive salsa Today, I went to chipotle and ordered a burrito. I got some medium salsa in the burrito and that was my mistake. They put so much on and I took a bite and my mouth started burning. My eyes are watery my lips hurt so much and they feel like they are burning. I am writing this review exactly 42 minutes after I ate the burrito and my lips are still burning. Should I go to the hospital? Once again chipotle, thank you for melting my mouth with your corrosive salsa yet again. Never go here please. read more

I go to many chipotles, but I will never go to the one in closter. Management should send undercover shoppers to see for themselves. Staff are rude, portions are inconsistent depending on who's serving or the customer they are serving to. I was eating with my son, then my older son joined us and went to order. His portion size was almost half of what I got (i kid you not, and he didn't order a kids meal). I didn't bother to complain, because by the looks of the staff, they couldn't care less (basically, they have that "f*** off" face to customers). read more

I have been to many Chipotles because my teenage son loves them and this is by far the worst one in existence. Not only is the staff lackluster, but I have been here a few times and I never see the same people, so clearly there is an issue with staff. There is no consistency with portion control; it depends completely on who is serving at that moment. They never seem to stock the utensils and today my son got water from the lemonade dispenser. We have given it several tries and today was the last straw. We will continue to visit Chipotles in other places, but not in Closter. Vey disappointed because this is a brand new store in a brand new mall and it should be amazing! read more

Serving sizes are pathetic. Staff doesnt care.

I am a fan of chipotle restaurants. My family gies frequently in different locations around the country and typically have a consistent and good experience. I was really glad when they decided to open a location in closter just two minutes from my house. The experience of my first few visits have been disappointing. Despite much shorter lines that are typical of lunchtime at chipotle in many locations, this location seems not to have enough food ready. I figured it's just the training issue and kinks that need to be worked out. Unfortunately, after several months nothing has gotten better. Yesterday, despite being one if only three customers at the store, they completely ran out if multiple ingredients at the same time. Me and three other customers had to wait about 10 minutes to order a burrito. Totally inexcusable that ingredients were not ready on time to be replenished. Management should really do s better job training the employees and supervisors at this location. Terrible for the brand reputation, which has suffered as is over the past year. read more

Untrained staff! They don't eye contact to their customers? Very rude, unkind, and murmuring when they asked. My husband went there first time and didn't know how to order, but they were so bad to meet the customers. I want to give them only half star. read more

Horrible! Worst service and horrible looking food ever! Omg ... I will never return to this location! How do you run out of salad dressing and not inform the person you serving a salad to that there is no dressing. I asked for salad dressing. The girl told me she couldn't make any dressing because they ran out of oil ... really ... told them to keep the salad.. I got nothing but attitude like I did something wrong! Excuse me for wanting dressing with my salad! Well just a quick walk I went to whole foods and was able to get a yummy salad with dressing and no bad attitude.... beware of this location..... ugh! read more

What a disaster. My dad took 4 teenagers the weekend of December 20th and the experience was laughable. The apathetic teenage staff had very little interest in helping the long line, and would rather be anywhere else. No communication or eye contact. No portion control. At the register after the ordeal of ordering for 5 people, the cashier whispered without looking up "I'm sorry there's no salad dressing, no chips available". But they did have guacamole. Also, they didn't have any large cups for soda. After the comedy of errors, a very youngish person claiming to be the manager again offered no eye contact or help other than "I guess we have no dressing". Soda machine was broken, food was lackluster, and again very small portions. It was apparent that this new store wasn't ready to open. No quality control, no management control, real black eye to the brand. I told many friends not to go there. Months later, I still can't find myself walking in the doors. Too many good neighborhood places in the area to go back there. Avoid at all costs. What a shame. read more

Chipotle, honestly fuck you. I ordered a bowl with guac and you guys put a literal fucking avocado in it, not like a piece, but a full fucking slice. It is a disgrace that you would even try that. I was just trying to enjoy myself, and when my fork impaled a fat piece of avocado it ruined my attitude. Thanks for nothing, I guess $10 doesn't mean shit to you. read more

they have gotten my order wrong 5 times now and have gotten my girlfriend's order wrong too, i don't know what to do and don't wanna go inside and order in front of them sometimes, i just want to get food and go but for some reason they always get my food wrong, i don't think it's that complicated. read more

Has anyone else gotten sick from this place? I could careless if they are friendly or not, but I do have a problem when I'm getting sick every time I consume from this place. The quality of food should definitely be checked. read more

Go here a lot for lunch and usually have a great experience. Went here maybe a week ago to get a bowl and the dark brown haired white man making my order seemed very stressed and was rushing. I noticed he didn't put much steak in my bowl and I nicely and apologetically asked if he could put a little more in (Mind you I'm the only one in line) he shrugged put more in my bowl and rolled his eyes at me. And the curly haired woman checking me out was also rude and and laughing at the man making my bowl like I'm some kind of monster for asking for more steak lol. I was checked out by the same lady today and when I thanked her for my meal, she looked at me with what I can only describe as disgust and confusion. All the other guys are super cool, super friendly, never had a bad experience with them. I used to work in fast food, I understand the stresses of working with difficult customers especially in this area, but I can tell you I'm definitely not one of those customers. I'm always very understanding when it comes to lunch rushes and how that can delay my order. Pretty disappointing. read more
