Chicken bowl

I had only eaten here once many many years ago and while it was good I just don't do these types of places however I ordered from Uber Eats one night and they offered a buy one, get one free bowl so I got two different kinds for two days and they were fantastic! The orders were on point and everything was fresh and delicious.

Stopped here after a day at Woodbury commons yesterday (Memorial Day) and I didn't order anything (my boyfriend did) but I had to post a review because of how clean this restaurant was. Moreover, we were greeted by every single employee and they were very friendly. Not sure if this experience was biased because it was slow (since it was a holiday) but props to them for being open and I would consider driving to this location specifically because two other Moe's I've visited have not been as pleasant as this one. Keep it up!

My food was on top of the chips.

This is my first time at this location because I mistakenly ordered from Paramus instead of River Edge. Im hoping the tacos are good. In this day of COVID why would you put the food handled by your employees on top of the chips Im supposed to eat. Also, they are crused because my food is on top of them. The chips are a special part of the meal for me because Moe's makes good fresh chips. This is what I get for giving a new location a try. Another COVID disappointment. The manager opened the the door for me on my way out and added that they have not experienced being overwhelmed by Cinco de Mayo. So in other words I should suck up the crushed chips because it's a holiday and theyre a Mexican themed restaurant and cant handle the volume of orders so they're going to throw people's food all together on top of peoples chips. Lesson learned sir...no worries. Understood that I should take my business elsewhere.

Greasy, over-salted nachos.

The overly salty and greasy tortilla chips lacked any discernable flavor, which served as a preview of the odd creation they call a burrito. A large flour tortilla was steam-heated for all of two seconds, creating a cold and slightly slimy wrap for a collection of substandard ingredients, which included chicken with extra gristle, beans that tasted like they came from a can and slightly rubbery "cheese." The soda machine, while entertaining on first use, had something of a learning curve and accommodates exactly one customer at a time, which is a great opportunity to learn patience during a lunch-hour rush. Having lived in the Southwest for almost a decade, I think this eatery could be sued for besmirching the good name of a culinarily dazzling region of the United States. Keep driving. Route 17 has plenty of other options.

Wrong Doug, Chips, Queso, Salsas

As a Rutgers alumnus, Moe's automatically reminds me of going to the BCC when I didn't feel like going to the dining hall. I've been to this Paramus location a few times now and was there last night for a Yelp Event. My experience has been consistently positive at this location. I'd say Moe's is on par with its contemporaries Chipotle and Qdoba and I don't really have a preference between the 3 of them. I do like that chips and salsa are complimentary unlike at Chipotle. There is also a wide variety of salsas to choose from which is also a plus. There are many items to choose from on the menu and they can accommodate different types of diets so all-in-all Moe's is a solid, inoffensive choice for a quick bite. As with Chipotle or Qdoba, I only go to Moe's out of convenience but spots like these know their role and they play it well.

I love their burritos. Obviously can't be compared to authentic Mexican, but much better quality than Qdoba or Chipotle.

The ambience of the place was very interesting and they definitely tried to put a lot into their space. The food was good! The outside sitting area was nice and I liked how try did a good effort to take you away from the fact that this place is situated off a major highway and a major road. Guacamole was freshly made at your table, drinks tasted good, dinner tasted good as well as dessert! THE BAD. The service kind of began to lack by the time we got dessert. Once we were served dessert, our server was no where to be found to get the check and settle up for the night. The only other complaint is the pork and beans side was just ok and a couple of dishes were a bit pricier than I have gotten it elsewhere. Overall, the flavors were good and there was enough food. For the eyes and my stomach! I would go back!!!

Their leadership,…read morein some indirect fashion, has led to the craftsmanship of El Azteca - A slight chain of Mexican restaurants in a 30 min radius of Bergen County. I will copy and paste this review across the Park Ridge and Mahwah locations so emphasize my appreciate for their consistency in providing great Mexican food. If you are consistently performing, Linguini will take care of you. Like I've taken care of many others. I will bring you to the top with me. If you backstab me. Oh if you come for me at the top, you will reach an abyss so deep you may end up digging to China. Don't test me. I'm not that guy. Anyways, I've tried a lot from Azteca. Most of what they've got is a 4/4.5 out of 5 but I'm rounding up for the full experience. Phenomenal price point. Variety of food that all comes out well. Performs well in restaurant and when the food travels. Friendly staff. And local business of which I support. I suffer from GGS - Good Guy Syndrome, sorry not sorry. My motha, bless her soul. I legit mean bless her soul. Be nice. Pray. Bow down to her. She doesn't eat much food but she even loved the taco salad here so much that she asked to go again. So much protein, so well seasoned. Just as their other options showcase as well. My personal favs are the Kash Burrito and the, what I'd call "trademark" Cod Burrito. Never have seen it elsewhere like this. The wrap is toasted wonderfully, great rice, great salsa. I mean this place just does it real well. I've had tacos, appetizers, desserts. Never let down. El Azteca is consistently good. Constantly pushing out quality product. Is it the best Mexican I've had? No. But it's the most underrated. Being a consistent 4, makes you a five in my books. It's like that girl that's occasionally a 6 or occasionally an 9... you can't bring her home. But that girl that's consistently a 7 or an 8? You let her meet the fam. I don't where I'm going with this one. All I'll say is STOP. Stop going to Chipotle, Bubbakoo's, etc. when you could be supporting a better quality and friendlier priced location in El Azteca. Thank you in advance. I will be watching - LB.

Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing. The fish tacos were incredibly bland. They tasted like almost nothing--no noticeable salt, spices, or seasoning--and there wasn't even a sauce on the side to add flavor. The ceviche wasn't much better. The shrimp and octopus tasted fresh, but the sauce had an overpowering smoky flavor that felt out of place and overwhelmed the seafood. The skirt steak fajitas were the best of the three dishes. The steak was well seasoned, but it was also quite tough. For nearly $70 for three items, I expected much better quality and flavor. I do plan to give El Asadero another chance and will update my review after dining in, although there really shouldn't be a difference in food quality between eating in the restaurant and ordering takeout. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.

The guac was good but could use a bit more salt, i wish they had chiccarons as chips instead of tortillas but the chips were great so wasn't a big issue. overall though expensive for some pretty average guac in my opinion. the seabass crudo was great, i loved the sauce and the mango went great with it. Super fresh, super tasty. Unfortunately the tacos were a mess, when it arrived the tortillas were so soggy that they were just coming apart, the meat was also falling off and overall the presentation was horrendous. the tacos weren't balanced as well, there were some with too much meat and then some with basically only cheese. overall flavor was not birria im typically use to but it was solid. honestly these tacos are probably the worst tacos i've ever had, for $20 it's a travesty. overall for a place nearby i'd come to get some drinks and the crudo and esquite because those were fantastic. but i'll pass on their tacos hard.
