I eat Chipotle more than I will admit. I've tried several locations and, while I don't know why, this Clybourn location tastes better than all of them. It's not too salty or too spicy or too bland. It's just right all the time & the staff works very hard to be courteous & prompt. And... I want to share that my battery died while eating Chipotle in the parking lot listening to the radio. I happened to ask a man if he could help me & it turned out to be the new general manager, Hugo; he was so nice! He got his cables out, jumped the car & it started up again. I eat chipotle 3-4 times a week. I usually drive extra for this location because this is one of the rare chipotle locations which doesn't skimp portions. I get what I've paid for. Also the big guy who drives an orange ford truck is an amazing employee, he is always rushing around to clean, organize, check. He should've promoted or something. Good job y'all read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. Worst experience ever. Both these girls were nasty. I didn't get my sauce until I said it was "medium" and not "mild." Have you ever heard of synonyms? To make matters worse they were rude to my child and laughed at us because they thought we didn't know what we were saying. I sure hope neither of these two girl are part of management because I would demote them immediately. They talked about you right in your face. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. I've gone to high end restaurants and have never been treated so badly. You have a job because of us customers. I still treated them with respect. I won't be coming back. This is Chipotle's idea of fresh guacamole. This is absolutely disgusting. This is literally what they serve me when I was in the store. The entire tin bowl of guacamole looked like this. I decided to order it still just so I could write this review because chipotle headquarters needs to really get on their stores about the quality of their ingredients. I work nearby and once a week or so I come in around 8:45/9:00. The closing time is clearly stated on the door for 10pm but most of the time I feel like I'm a burden to the employees who are clearly trying to close early. Today I stood patiently waiting to order while one employee gathered to go orders and the other 2 stood there at the register. I completely understand that places are super busy with online orders but I didn't even get any type of acknowledgment for what felt like a few minutes. When I finally got my food and requested a side of guac, the guy working the register got it for me with no gloves on. After a handful of times of being treated poorly I will never return to this location. This staff needs to improve their customer service. read more

This place is horrible!!! The manager made my burrito like crap and sat there rushing me, huffing and puffing like I'm taking too long to look at the ingredients and see what I wanted on my burrito. She threw it together like she was in a huge hurry and nobody was behind me. I wasn't done ordering and went to order my boyfriends burrito and she had already pulled a recipe from the online orders and started throwing it together. Literally!! Throwing the containers around like she was messed up on speed. I said oh I wasn't done and she looked so pissed and said " you're going to have to wait till I'm done with this order" and " you should've told me you had two burritos. Say whattt? The in shop orders were getting sped through and completed within 2 minute when there online system was completed off by over an hour and a half. Placed an order at 7:15 or 7:20 and was told by the door dash system that it would be by 7:37pm and got no warning from the system or app saying that they were behind by forty five minutes. That can't be and needs to be addressed immediately! Making orders for people and not a better online system is RIDICULOUS. read more

Last and final time for me. Place is always filthy. The prep counters are covered in food with workers wiping it off with their hands...and then going back to prepare your meal. Gross! The workers have major attitude. The food is mildly warm at best. Always worried I'll get food poisoning from improper temperature. The chips are not even cooked - raw tortillas cut in triangles put in a bag. Today, they had kitchen equipment occupying booths. Looking back in the kitchen and it's filthy. I see this chipotle on my friend Kevins Snapchat every single day! Sometimes even twice a day. For those of you who do not know, Kevin lifts. He lifts every day and he is easily 220 lbs at about 8% body fat. Kevins fitness, nutrition, and anabolic knowledge know no bounds. He is a man who has no limits. "Don't let your dreams be dreams." -Kevin. Anyways, now that we know Kevin, let me talk about this chipotle. This chipotle hooks Kevin up every single time. The amount of food this man gets in one bowl could feed a family of 6 easily. Kevin can't get it to go because the lid stands no chance. On our way to the zoo we were invited into the Chipotle Cultivate Festival. We decided to check it out and had an amazing time. We learned a lot about food...not all of it was good but it was very eye opening. We were also able to get a free coupon for each of us to eat at Chipotle. We decided to use those coupons at this location. It had been about 10 years since I had my first and only burrito here. It is about time for me to give them another try. I had a steak burrito, my wife had the salad bowl with chicken and my little one had chicken and cheese tacos. My poor little one started crying, after biting into her taco because it was too spicy. I tried a piece of chicken and realized it was way too spicy. I felt so bad. I wish one of the staff would have said something about it being that hot. The staff made us one taco with rice, beans and cheese. It was really nice of them to try and make it right. I just can not believe there was no warning about it being spicy. My burrito was exactly how I remembered it 10 years ago. It feels too fancy for a burrito. I'm use to the authentic dirty Chicago steak burrito. Whole black beans and rice just seem out of place for me. It may be another 10 years until I eat here again. Nothing against there food but it is not for me. You may wonder why I'm giving them 5 stars...I like Chipotle's message. They use local growers for there products. That is amazing. So if you eat here, the cheese comes from Wisconsin and the meat from Illinois. Most food chains do not run like this but they should. For a chipotle, I would imagine this is a pretty low rating but let me explain. The staff seemed unorganized and a bit like trainees which would not be a problem normally...this was during the lunch rush. Eek. My favourite part of my burrito bowl is the guacamole obviously! Reaching the guacamole in the ordering process..disturbed me. Normally Chipotle's gauc is an aesthetically pleasing shade of green. This Chipotle's, however, was an unpleasant shade of brown. Last but not least, my friend had to use the restroom URGENTLY. As soon as h ordered, he basically sprinted to the bathroom only to come back to our table with his head hanging low. Their only working bathroom was occupied so he waited for them to come out. After we finished our meal he was STILL waiting. Don't worry folks, he was able to hold it and did not soil his pants. YAY. I go to this chipotle very often. Until tonight, I had never had any issues other than some stale chips here and there, and some stingy workers when it comes to guacamole portion. Tonight I walked in to an overwhelming smell of weed. I couldn't believe it. It smelled like they had hotboxed the store. I understand it could have been a customer, but there was one man in the restaurant. If that much odor came from him alone, I would be shocked. To each is their own, if you want to smoke week then go for it. As a restaurant I believe staff should know when to ask someone to leave. At least open the door and use some air freshener. It was so strong, when I got home I asked my roommate to smell my hair and my hands.. without me prompting her, she told me I smelled like weed. I had to shower and leave my clothes in the laundry room because of how strong it was. I'm prepared to smell like weed if I go to a trashy bar or apartment, but a Chipotle? Come on! read more

Hanna (manager) is quite possibly the sweetest person in customer service I have ever met. She and her team were fast, and extremely understanding of any and all crazy allergies. So accommodating. What is y'alls problem, Chipotle is fantastic. I only get the veggie burrito bol, and for some reason I never get sick of it! Either there is something added into the food that makes you addicted to it, or it's just damn good. Either way, I love Chipotle. To be fair, I've been going to this Chipotle for a while and their food and service has been just great. Good food and friendly service with easy parking. Now, for my experience today: I grabbed my salad to go and was at the soda machine filling up my drink. You know how they have the containers of lemons right there to throw in your beverage? Well, out of the corner of my eye I noticed a 6-8 year old girl fooling around with them. After a minute, I turned to realize what she had been standing there doing for who knows how long...she was picking the lemons up one by one, licking them, and then throwing them back in the container for every unsuspecting customer to enjoy. Naturally, I'm looking around for her parents, but since there were only a handful of people in there, through process of elimination I couldn't pinpoint where the parent was. In the meantime, I run to the cashier to tell her to remove the lemons, because the girl (who was still hovering over the lemons) was licking them all and throwing them back. Immediately, the cashier woman ran over to the girl to get her to stop...and yes, it turns out it was her daughter whom she had obviously brought to work for the day. Oh, and she only plucked out a couple of the lemons and went back to the register. And that is the point where I threw my salad uneaten in the trash, and will never step foot back in a Chipotle again. And when I will post comments about this for every good, taco loving citizen will know where to avoid...unless you like saliva on the side with your meal. read more

Hello, my name is Kelli and I am an addict. Chipotle is my crack. I eat here several times a week. This is my local Chipotle, but I have eaten at many of them throughout the city. I don't know what they do to their food that makes me like it so much... I've been going here for years, and the staff is always friendly. Usually the line moves quick (unless you get a confused patron, or they are training a new server). The service is usually pretty consistent - I'm serious about Chipotle, so I get mad when a new trainee doesn't give me the proper proportions of rice or meat - if they go a bit under, they are always willing to add more to keep me happy! Usually they are also pretty good at keeping the tables clean and everything stocked... The only reason why I don't give them 5 stars is because two times now I have ordered online and there have been mistakes in the order - once not making the order at all, but they more than made up for it by giving us a few free burrito coupons, and another time forgetting one of the burritos. Not a big deal, mistakes are bound to happen. Anyway, LOVE this place - Love that you can get a salad, bowl, tacos, burrito, etc. And, their quesadillas, which aren't on the menu are great too! If you haven't eaten at Chipotle, I'm concerned that you lead a sheltered life. Try it out! If you don't like it, great, more for me! read more

Get it together guys. This location is a staple of my work diet. The last three or four times I've been have been nothing but disappointing. Steak is basically raw lately and the veggies ridiculously crunchy. The service is pretty unfriendly for a Chipotle and 90% of the staff act as though they hate their jobs. Very unpleasant typically. Tables are always filthy and I've had to wait for stuff on more than one occasion. And don't tell me 3-4 minutes when you really mean 10. Just irritating - my lunch break isn't that long for me to waste my time. This review honestly pains me to write but again this location needs to get it together. read more

First, let me just take a moment to complain about something. I can't stand when people say "I'm eating paleo" and then proceed to go to a fast food restaurant and order meat without a bun. No, you're not eating "paleo", you're just taking away the carbs. I bet you $10 that meat is not only not organic or hormone free or free range, but it's also not grass-fed. Grass-fed is important for a reason to really be "paleo". Additionally, oils matter too, but I won't go down that road. Moving forward, there is so much more to living that lifestyle, but sometimes you aren't prepared and in a pinch, you need some filling alternative. I used to stop in this location after training because it was (1) open, (2) on the way home and (3) relatively cheap. When I was avoiding grains as much as possible, this seemed like one of the better options because their meat is at least supposed to be hormone free. Staff here was always friendly. I used to get 2 sides of meat and occasionally a side of guacamole if I didn't have some made at home. When you buy meat as a "side", you pay $2 and some change, depending on the meat, which makes for a pretty cheap meal. For "paleo", why pay for a bowl just so you can get lettuce and tomato? The staff here never batted an eye when I ordered food this way, and they never had an issue giving me an actual bowl instead of 2 little cups. I liked this staff, a lot. For some non-Mexican "Mexican" food, because let's not get it twisted, this isn't Mexican, this Chipotle is probably my favorite. read more

I placed a mobile order for pick up and I was very disappointed when I got home. I ordered a burrito bowl and paid extra for extra chicken Anne to have queso added. When I got home I discovered that not only was it missing the queso and extra chicken but it was also missing the corn salsa that I request extra of. Not to mention I It barely had any lettuce. I submitted a complaint through their app and have yet to hear back. I had a bowl that was missing the ingredients I paid extra for. It was upsetting. I thought a mobile order would make things easier but I guess if you want to make sure your order is right you should order it in person. read more

The food was the usual better than average fast food, but all the booths and half the tables were dirty. It was the middle of the afternoon, no rush in progress, and there was even enough staff to have a team member changing light bulbs. What can I say? I LOVE burritos. Chipotle has great burritos; even better for a chain restaurant; even EVEN better for a chain restaurant owned by the McDonalds Corporation. I like the veggie burrito best, but I'm up for chicken as well. I like their ingredients; all of the fixins are fresh and their salsa is made in the store... and it's delish! Their chips are also great. They're seasoned with some lime and salt - they are absolutely delicious. I'll definitely try a burrito bowl sometime, but every time I go I always get the same thing. Chipotle is my favorite fast food chain in the country. They focus on one thing and do it well, rather than catering to every swinging dick that wants a quick meal. Also, naturally raised meat FTW. The burritos are good, but the crunchy tacos are what draw me in. If for some reason Chipotle ever closes its doors for good, I'm pretty sure I would die of heartache (before I die of starvation). I like this location in particular because I can walk from my apartment, the workers are friendly, and there's outdoor seating. read more
