I took the time to create a yelp account after my recent experiences with this location. I have been going to this chipotle for 5+ years and never had a bad experience until recently. I understand all businesses are having trouble adjusting to covid but this location is doing exceptionally poor compared to others. The past 3 times i have ordered from this establishment i have waited in store 30+ minutes past the time i placed my online order. I witnessed at least 8 or 9 people receive their orders before me with later pick up times. If this is an issue due the app on my behalf I apologize however it seems to be due to disorganization. And also while waiting in the store I have witnessed multiple employees standing around appearing to do nothing while one poor kid is running around by himself trying to get orders completed. Will be going to the danvers location from now on. No hard feelings but someone please give that poor hardworking boy a raise. read more

Depending on the day--and more often than not--I am impressed by the quick and attentive service of the staff here. The quality of the food is directly correlated with who is working; but, while the quality (and quantity) vary, it is consistently good, and so is the service I receive. The atmosphere is decent, and obviously dependant upon the crowd. For these reasons, I am dubbing the Dodge Street Chipotle a 4-Star restaurant. Always a reliable and casual location to drop by during outings or to pick up for a lazy day. read more

I loved the set up of this restaurant. Lots of tables, and they needed them as it was very busy. I waited in line longer than I'd normally like to but I wanted to try out the new location. I got a chicken burrito. It was just okay. A little spicier than I would have liked, and they forgot to put on the sour cream. The price was okay too. Nothing really stands out about this location. I'd probably go elsewhere in the plaza as they have a nice selection of restaurants before trying Chipotle again. read more

I may have found my new favorite Chipotle location! My first impression was that it was very clean and was perfectly set up for the typical weekday business crowd. The long benches with stools encourage you to find a seat anywhere--and personally I love eavesdropping on nearby conversations. It was busy, but no one seemed nervous, rushed, or frustrated. A gentleman employee near the cashier made sure I had everything I needed and was remarkably cheery with every customer he encountered. I couldn't stop grinning and said, "You're so cheery! You just made my day." (I never caught his name but he was tall, blonde with a mustache and wore large ear gauges--hard to miss.) When I ate another employee visited the tables to make sure everyone was doing ok--I've never seen this at a "fast food" chain before. I was so impressed with this location and so thrilled. I've been a longtime Chipotle fan but only recently moved to the area. I'll be visiting the Beverly Chipotle frequently. My only critique is the parking lot, where they should reconfigure the spots to allow more cars to fit there, and include clear signs to exit the way you entered. read more

Quick service. Fresh food. Parking is ok and if you do have to wait for a spot it's not that long of a wait. Get the corn on anything you get here because the corn is seriously addictive! Dine in or take out the staff always give you their best service with a smile! read more

I have been here many times. 8 out of 10 times my chicken quesadilla is not even melted the whole way through. Only once did the tortilla have any color and that was because it was burnt. Dysfunctional and incompetent. I keep making the mistake of going back because the idea is good, food decent and price fair, but this Beverly store is a disaster. I've learned the hard way that for online orders you need to specify a pick-up time 30 to 45 minutes ahead of when you intend to pick up in order to have any chance that your food will be ready. Too many times I arrived at the specified time to find that they hadn't even started on my order and were too busy dealing with the line of people waiting to order in-. store. I've had to wait close to an hour on one ocassion to get food that I pre-ordered well in advance. Just as bad, they seem incapable of fulfilling an order. At least 50% of our orders have had an item (frequently a complete meal) missing), while on other occasions they seem to just add things randomly to your meal rather than building it the way you specified. Sometimes portions are generous; other times you get a nearly empty bowl or burrito. And don't request and pay for extra of anything - you'll actually get less. The staff are friendly and do their best to correct or compensate for these problems, but I'd prefer to get what I order at the time I request rather than a credit for my next visit. I think the management must be the problem and under staff this Chipotle branch. read more

Gross. Open little more than a month at this writing. I would not judge on a single visit but have just returned from my third. The harried, frozen-smiling, robot children behind the counter each ask questions I've already answered. One entree should not be nearly so complicated as to forget the two ingredients I asked for about six seconds ago? But to the point, I have on many occasions enjoyed a comparable burrito elsewhere for half the price, and the "steak" here is entirely indigestible. Of the 7 or eight half-inch cubes the attendant has successfully scooped into my bowl or onto my tortilla, not one was without tendon, gristle and rubbery goo. They treat lettuce as a garnish rather than an ingredient. With such a limited menu - not a bad thing - they ought to have figured a way to do something right. The food is okay for the price, besides the fact that the restaurant itself is usually dirty and the music is too loud. The lines normally out the door whenever I decide to go and it doesn't go by quickly, it feels as if you're standing there forever. Also a little disappointed with the bathrooms because they never seem to get cleaned. Most of the time I go to this location I have to lay down tons of toilet paper or flush the toilet because the person before me didn't do it themselves. read more

I've been here a few times since it has opened. Yes, the line has been long; and yes, it seems to be a little hectic at times. However, I will absolutely go back. This is a BRAND NEW store.. I'm sure more than half have not even worked in the restaurant business. All of the employees have been extremely nice and apologetic for the wait, any confusion to customers, etc. They all seem to care about the customer experience; they're just working with what they can. I think it's safe to say that whoever goes into this restaurant, and who has been to a Chipotle before, should not be quick to judge their experience. It's going to be different than experiences before because they are a brand new store. They're still working out the kinks. I have hope that they will get there. It takes time. It would be decent to be understanding of the situation. Keep working hard, Chipotle Beverly! You guys rock! read more

This Chipotle (as noted by other reviewers) is the worst Chipotle location. The Chipotle in Kendall Square can make my lunch in about 3 minutes, even with 50 people in line. My husband and I stopped on the way home last night to pick up burrito bowls. He went into the restaurant at 5:09. He returned to the car at 5:49. Forty minutes to get 2 burrito bowls. When we got home my steak was so burnt that I had to pick it out of my bowl and couldn't eat it. Horrid. This is not my first negative experience at the Dodge Street Chipotle. After hearing a friend say positive things about the burritos here we decided to give it a try. We walked in and there was trash on the floor and tables were unclean. It was 28 degrees in the restaurant (measured by my phone) and one of the workers said the heat wasn't working today. I don't know how they can be open when it's below freezing in the store. Haven't been to Chipotle in awhile because I was sick of the tiny portions they serve. Went in today to try again and sure enough, ordered a burrito bowl and got a tiny scoop of rice, tiny scoop of chicken, tiny scoop of beans, etc... I have been to a lot of Chipotle's but will not return to this one. The burrito was the smallest one I ever got at a Chipotle. They gave a such a small amount of rice that it barely covered the bottom of the bowl. They measured the chicken by using something that looked like a shot glass - a tiny amount. We ordered online for me my wife and son. My wife had a chicken bone in her Burrito bowl and my rice where under cooked. Beside that there are big chunks of fat in my barbacoa . This was the third time we had a problem with this restaurant.This restaurant is worse than Mc. Donald's. There was a really skimpy amount of chicken because the guy wasn't really looking at what he was doing...just moving too fast and not paying attention. The guacamole didn't come off the spoon when she slapped it on and when I asked her for to shake it off she said she'd have to charge me twice for the guac. I've eaten at this restaurant quite often with my family. This past week. They have made mistakes with the orders on two occasions and food was poorly put together. My son got sick and. Lasted a few days. Couldn't hold anything down. Still not feeling all that great. My other son snd I purchased a wrap for him and myself a bowl. Tasted like soap and was so greasy that the container was a mess . So messy it even went through the bag as well as the seat of my car. With that said neither one of us could finish eating because it tasted that bad. The next day I even had a bad taste in my mouth that won't go away. So disappointed because what what started out so good went downhill so fast. I'm not even 2 stars is suitable. If I would of thought of it at the Time. I would of taking a picture to show. I have been twice since then opened. Both times, the burrito was literally half the size of the burrito at other locations. The first few bites were all tortilla. If you're going to give me a mini buttiro, charge me a mini price for it. You could tell the staff has been specifically trained in this manner -it wasn't an oversite. I ordered my daughter a kids meal and they didn't prepare the whole plate with beans and rice -...just the quesadilla, chips, and milk. I had to go back and ask. To top it off, when my husband went on his own, he said they would not honor the military discount every other Chipotle honors. Super lame Chipotle. Super lame! To be honest, one star is being generous. This is probably one of the worst Chipotle locations I have ever been to and being a lover of their food, I promise I have been to a lot of them. I am never usually the type of person to write reviews for restaurants, mainly because I am very easy going and never seem to have a bad experience at most places. This however, is in fact a special case. I will list my reasons further. Being a New Hampshire native, I have been to the Chipotles near me probably a hundred times. The one in Amherst is perfection, the food is always fresh, they are always fast paced, respectful and they always give you the amount of food you want. This location in Beverly however, is an absolute joke and I find it insulting that this location is still running to be honest.To begin with, I started going here a couple years ago as I am a student from a nearby college. The first few times I went, the food was great, the service was fine, and the staff was always eager to help or add to an order if needed. With high expectations from home, my hopes were I would experience the same thing here in Beverly, plot twist: I did not, not even close. On the note of the staff, they are completely under qualified and it appears as if not a single person was actually trained to do their job. If their attitude wasn't bad enough, their lack of effort is the icing on the cake of a crappy experience. I have been there almost 15 times this semester alone, everytime hoping for a better time, and I'm left disappointed. I would go to a different location, but it is the only close one near me. Every single time I visit, I am always left in an annoyingly long line that lasts way too long due to laziness, lack of speed, and really lack of understanding how to a job that is simple. Keep in mind I worked at a fast paced fast food restaurant similar to Chipotle, and this issue was never a thing. I also find it insulting that every single time I have politely asked them to add "a little extra rice" I am always met with a look of disgust and I don't see why that is much of a problem, usually when there is plenty there. I find that rude and disrespectful, I attempt to be nice and respectful with every visit, but I am honestly to the point where it is keeping me from not going there anymore. I am also quite annoyed with the fact that they will not accommodate you if they are running out a certain topping to wait for more, they will give you the slightest amount so you are left with half a bowl. Not okay. Other than that, again, the staff is always rude and constantly looks dumbfounded unable to complete their job. So yes this is my review, I apologize if it insult anyone but it's the truth.
