Came in on Thursday night for a prime rib special. Araceli, my server greeted me. I told her no menu needed, because I'm here for the prime rib special. Dinner was awesome, service was awesome. No complaints, just compliments!

Came for Taco Tuesday $1.75 per taco! The shredded beef are yummy! The 2 tables behind us ordered banana splits, they looked incredible! We were going to order another taco but ordered a banana split instead, and what a great call! It was huge! They use Thrifty Ice Cream! Yummy! What a Treat!

Service is kind and welcoming, ambiance is casual and nostalgic with a Flo's or Guasti's vibe. Amazing smell of freshly ground coffee. Plenty of space with counter sitting, booths and tables. TVs for your morning weather report

Pathetic Meat Loaf plate! Disgusting I turn it away!!

I'm just going to get to the point! Stop by last night and decided to give this place a try despite the parking lot looking empty. Ordered the meat loaf and it was disgusting . I will share the picture for you all can see! I asked the waitress what is this and she said try it!. It tastes good! Hardly, one taste and I sent it back. The meat looked like it was mutilated. The mash potatoes looked like they were water down. My plate came with a salad and that was actually good. The waitress of course charged me for that even though it was part of my plate. Really hard to believe this place makes money. The inside of the restaurant looks like it has passed its glory days. Almost feels like you're in the middle of nowhere! Let's see the coke was good. In a nut shell this establishment has lost its passion!! My TV dinner is far more enjoyable than their so called meat loaf !!

Enjoyed it. We bought the $1.35 tacos too for taco Tuesday and they are good, big specially for the price. The shredded beef one as potato one. The chocolate chip pancake is definitely my favorite one I've ever had! We will try the Belgian and French toast next time. Server was friendly

I met up with a friend at Wara Cafe and we had the best time sipping on our Shrek Lattes and eating their Croffles. We ordered the Shrek Latte (Hot) and Shrek Latte (Cold) as our drinks, and both got the Croffle w/ Mixed Berries, Fresh Whipped Cream, Hazelnut Drizzle, and because it was the weekend and my stomach begs for brunch food, I also got their Classic Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, side of toast, and salad. Let me tell you and stop you right in your tracks if you're looking at other things on their menu. Their Croffle is top of the line, the best croffle invention I have ever had, and gave me another reason to exist and enjoy life, just so I can eat their Croffles. If you are wondering what it is, it's like a dessert fusion breakfast item in between a croissant and a waffle pressed in a waffle iron. This makes an airy, buttery, crunchy, waffle bite, and it's got me drooling as I am typing this hungry. They pair it here with mixed berries, and their house-made fresh whipped cream. The whipped cream is another story I need to say, because I originally thought it was too much since its a size of an ice cream scoop, but I finished the whole thing and enjoyed every bite of it since it is also one of the best fresh whipped creams I have had. Just get the croffle, OK? 100% gauranteed you will love it and thank me later, please. Also, if I may convince you of another thing. If you love matcha and cinnamon, it is no doubt you will love their Shrek Latte. I read "Matcha, brown sugar, and cinnamon, as their description, and I was immediately sold. Sign me up for another Shrek Latte please, and I'll change my name to Fiona. I absolutely loved it and would order again. The staff here are also beyond friendly, and genuinely sweet. They checked on my friend and I every now and then and made sure we were taken care of. They are all so beautiful, and have such great smiles. I can see why the wait line was so long! I would come back every weekend if I were closer to Wara Cafe, but it just gives me more reason to bring another friend along and make the trip out here. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. My friend and I left with full tummies and a big smile. Thank you!

I think if anything, it's more like a 3.5/5 My boyfriend and I came on a Monday around 11:20AM. I had joined the waitlist on yelp and checked in when we arrived. They offered to seat us outside, but it was kinda chilly that day so we opted to just wait for a seat to open up, which was about 10-15mins. Upon being seated, she informed us of their souffle pancake, which is what they were known for before leaving us to browse the menu. I was super excited to try it since this is all I've heard about this restaurant. We were kinda left there for a while before a gentleman came to take our order. We ordered the spam musubi, their seasonal strawberry cheesecake cloud souffle pancake, and TUS breakfast sandwich subbing fries for home fries, and a cup of orange juice. Orange juice: I love me a cup of freshly squeezed oj and not many places have them (typically it it tastes like bottled oj). BUT!!!! this oj as 100% freshly squeezed and it was soooo good. If you like freshly squeezed oj and crave that natural sweetness, this is a must. Spam musubi: very flavorful! I really liked the sauce they used for the inside it and it was a great way to start the meal. The downside is that the spam slice was pretty thin and the musubi itself did fall apart pretty easily, which made it very messy to eat. TUS breakfast sandwich: the sandwich had great flavor and was huge. My boyfriend really enjoyed it and found it to be very filling. I liked the home fries a lot, seasoned very well and so crispy. Strawberry cheesecake cloud pancake: I won't lie...I was kinda disappointed with this. It was a huge portion, which is good if you want to have your money's worth. The strawberry flavor was pretty subtle and it tasted more like strawberry pocky. The pancakes themselves were pretty dense and not as airy as I would prefer it though, so I was full after like 1.5 pieces. The cream on the pancakes was a good balance though so it wasn't too sweet. It also had cheesecake bits, which was good too. Overall, the food was just okay. I think if I were to come back, I'd probably get something else. As to why I had take away some stars, the wait for the pancakes were kinda insane. I think it was like 15 mins? and I wouldn't mind had I been told how long it would take, my bf was already halfway done with his meal by the time my order came. On top of that, another group of two that came in after us was able to get their orders and finish before the pancakes came out....which kinda made me feel like were forgotten, especially because no one came to update me. It was also kinda difficult to wave someone down since no one really walked by us. When we were ready to pay, we waited like ten minutes for the check to come out. Only after locking eyes with one of the servers did they finally come to tell us that they were working on the check and was running into issues. Again, another instance in which early communication would've been appreciated vs letting us just sit there and wonder what was going on. Don't get me wrong, they were very nice and accommodating (the table behind us had an antsy baby and they were able to accommodate them and moved them to a bigger table/space). However, the lack in communication about orders and issues did sour this experience. I hope that they're able to improve on that so customers can make informed decisions (such as not ordering the souffle pancakes if they're in a time crunch).

While I was trying to focus on some work, one of the employees from the counter sat with a friend near the cashier area and they were speaking very loudly. Their conversation included comments about someone being Asian and arguing about whether someone was Black. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional to overhear that kind of conversation while sitting in the shop. I hope the staff receive some basic customer service and professionalism training, as the atmosphere made it difficult to enjoy the space.

The Violet Rooster is a fantastic little brunch spot with unique, charming decor and seriously generous portions. PRO TIP: Reservations are highly recommended through Yelp! It is not a very large restaurant, so if you don't book ahead, expect to wait about 30 to 40 minutes for a table (which is exactly what we waited). Because of the cozy size, it's also probably not the best spot for big parties of more than 8 people. They do have both indoor seating and an outdoor patio option. Once we were seated, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We started with drinks--a Violet's Secret Mimosa and a Paloma--both were refreshing and well-made. For food, we ordered a bit of everything: Feta Me Betta: Egg whites scrambled with spinach, mushrooms, red bell pepper, turkey sausage, feta, and everything spice. It came with homestyle potatoes, fresh salsa, and a piece of sourdough. It was packed with flavor! Traditional Eggs Benedict: Canadian bacon with a perfect traditional hollandaise sauce that my daughter loved. Happy Hendrix Pancake: A super fluffy buttermilk pancake with a smiley face made out of fresh fruit and confetti sprinkles. It was an absolute hit with my granddaughter! All in all, a wonderful experience. The portions are huge--we definitely couldn't finish everything and happily took leftovers home. As a bonus, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Just keep in mind that the parking lot is on the smaller side, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. We will definitely be back!

My toddler loved this corner and I appreciate that this business acknowledges their customers might have their little ones with them at coffee shops sometimes and it's a nice touch to have something available for them as well. Brandon was extremely patient and helpful when my family and myself were trying to determine what we would order. Also why we were waiting in line a couple was seated outside waiting for their food and they asked the server where their food was it had been an hour, the server said yes it has been a while. They asked to speak to the manager. The server came back and said he can't come see them but they can get a free meal next time and took their name and number down. Hahahaha the manager didn't even wanna come to them. I miss the old lady and the old staff.
