I'm kind of still new to the area and I have yet to find a chinese restaurant that I really like. Most of them haven't been very good. I tried this restaurant for the first time as delivery to my home. It was absolutely by far the best i've had here! I got the Mongolian beef and I was surprised with how much it comes with! Definitely could feed two, maybe even 3 people with one order. There were even noodles underneath it and I got extra sauce it was so good! I'll definitely be eating here whenever I want chinese food again. Thank y'all for working during COVID and maintaining excellent quality of food. read more

I got almond chicken through door dash and pick up several times this week. That dish is really good. Today (Friday 12/11) I got a 2 liter of coke to go with my food. The coke when I got home was already open (seal was broken). The coke either was either super old and flat because it was open or even worse diluted with water. Not sure if they accidentally opened it and let it sit for a long time or ran out and filed a partial bottle with water and coke. Pretty disturbing and I even tipped them. Earlier in the week I got the same order with canned coke and that obviously was fine. read more

Ordered to go, the fried rice was sweet which was nice and unusual, ordered the general tsos chicken and it was ok, there were two pieces that when i bit into it the inside looked and felt like mashed potatoes? They only took 10 min which was amazing for to go read more

Was going here once a week getting Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice to go. For two years, I did this routine, and the food was great. One day, I called in and ordered chicken fried rice, and it was horrible. Tasted like yesterday's leftovers, the rice was mushy, and the chicken tasted tainted. Then the next Tuesday, I ordered The Mongolian beef, and it was cold in the middle like it was microwaved, and it was yesterday's leftovers. Never again have I been back. This review should have been written a couple of months ago. Our family had been going to another Asian restaurant for Christmas Eve that sadly closed after many years. We still wanted Asian food, so I made some choices of places to try that would satisfy the crowd. Chinnie's was on the list and as it was the closest, my roommate and I went to check it out. It was great and I booked it for Christmas Eve immediately. There were at least 16 of us for dinner, everyone raved about the food and service. Not sad at all to have a change!! The vegetarian options are not all they could be, but we were told that the menu was evolving daily. What I had - vegetable chow mein - was excellent. The service was incredible with only one server, and many many take-out orders. But there were no errors, and I think she was happy with her tip!!! Please try it, you will like it!! read more

Food taste great. I purchased veggie fried rice late last night, veggie egg fu yon with two egg rolls. ate about a quarter of it and the next day went back to eat more and the food was slimy. I called the restaurant the manager asked me what do I want to do with it. first off whenever I order have to yell or raise my voice for them to hear. Second of all yelling what do you want me to do about it Sounded rude. I said nothing I thought you should know. The manager said thank you. I had the food bag in the car ready for the manager to invite me back up instead of me yelling telling her what to do. So if your in the business of yelling then this may be the perfect place for you, but if your like me and call a business to tell them something's wrong with their food that it can't be eaten the next day then don't go up there and date your money. I will give the food to our dogs and chickens and practice more of eating at home or visiting golden house where we get great service for years. I frequent this place seldom and Ming had better customer service. read more

First time here, sat on the bar side, the food was amazing, the service was fun, quick, and a general welcoming atmosphere. The energy of the place was light hearted yet professional. Oh Chinnies, you goofed. I know anyone can make a mistake, however, I'm disappointed. I ordered my 'go to' meal, the Almond Fried Chicken with the BBQ fried rice and hot & sour soup, and have never been disappointed. I waited in anticipation for Uber Eats to deliver my meal tonight. We absolutely love the salt and pepper pork. However, we have tried many other dishes from their menu and all others have been a disappointment. We just don't understand how they can nail one dish in particular but then completely screw up another. For example... Their sesame chicken is simply sweet and sour chicken with sesame seeds on top. We actually thought they had brought out the wrong dish by mistake, but to our dismay it was intentional. Wow! This is our new go to Chinese restaurant! We ordered online early thanksgiving day and when my daughter and I arrived to pick up in the afternoon the lady who helped us was so enthusiastic and kind that when we left with our takeout order we already knew that this will be returning customers. Once home with the food we realized that service backed up the food! We enjoyed our order, my wife has found the best egg drop soup she has ever had and the Pineapple fried rice is so insanely good! This is the best Chinese/Asian fusion restaurant in the whole north end. If you want to find anything this good you would normally have to travel to Seattle's International district. The BBQ pork was so fresh and cooked just right. The Mongolian Beef is the best I have had. The Szechuan Chicken is to die for. I don't know if the noodles in the Chow Mein were hand made but they sure tasted like it. There were six of us and we ordered s ton of food. Yum yum yum! I ordered takeout of bbq pork fried rice, orange chicken, egg rolls and garlic green beans. Everything was piping hot and super flavorful. I'm a glu-tard (eating gluten makes me break out in hives), and Chinnie's is the rare Chinese restaurant that not only accommodates gluten-free folks but has a wide selection of GF dishes that are legit delicious. I ordered five items (Mongolian beef, shrimp chow fun, salt & pepper prawns, broccoli in garlic sauce, and a lunch special) and all the dishes are tasty and fresh. I have been looking for a local non-chain Chinese restaurant for a while and I am please to say I loved chinnies so much I ordered two times in the past 2 weeks for my husband and I! I like their Everyday Special for lunch that has an entree with sides and huge servings. I don't eat much for lunch so I had leftovers both times which was perfect to reheat the next day and tasted equally delicious. My husband of course can eat the whole thing in one spot. Our favorites were the Mongolian beef and Almond Fried Chicken that came with gravy on the side. The pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and veggie egg roll that came with it were perfect. I also had General Tsos chicken and the flavors packed a punch, would recommend to get during dinner if you had other entrees that could balance the flavors. Ordered from here many times and always enjoy the food and service. They recently referred us to using their website to order instead of third party apps. Decided to do that for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner - preordered over 24hours in advance to be ready for 5:30. Didn't receive our food until 6:45. Multiple pickup orders occurred while waiting for ours to be ready. Please don't offer a preorder service if you can't abide by it and produce food in a timely manner. I appreciate the hard work around the holidays but would have preferred to have my husband home and not waiting for our food for over an hour. If the staff had been upfront with the wait time and just said "we forgot your food we're so sorry - come back in an hour" we'd be much happier. Instead the answer was "it's coming" every 10min. read more

A few low-lights: paid $7 wontons thinking they'd be cream cheese variety but they were nothing more than those puff flat crisps and a tub of pink sweet and sour sauce (what they put on your table for free in most chinese restaurants). I felt ripped off. Then the egg rolls were super greasy, like dripping grease when you took a bite. The other dishes were not great either. All in all it's fine if you are into run of the mill strip mall Chinese food. Just don't go in expecting anything remotely fresh or special. read more
