When the food was brought I ask for a togo box , big proportions, if you have a family this is the perfect place to feed them and to show them how manners matters. Teriyaki places change as ow0nership changes. Hadn't been here in a while so I found it was under new management. The only thing the same since several months ago was the tables. The portions were very generous. The food was delicious and was a little different than your usual Teriyaki fare. It was Teriyaki with a tasty Korean twist. I was leaving Fred Mayer and passed this place. I was skeptical but very hungry. The teriyaki chicken is made to perfection. Pork bulgogi is very tasty with a little kick along with their orange chicken. Very generous food portions and served with salad. Authentic flavors with real seasoning/ingredients. Decent teriyaki. The cashiers are always rude. Make sure you check the prices, whatever is on the menu isn't what you get charged. If you inquire about it they become defensive and even more rude. In the Seattle area there might be as many teriiyaki places as coffee shops and most are decent. Appletree Teriyaki was more than decent, it was really good and we would go back anytime. If you eat in you get free miso soup and hot tea. My wife had Chicken Yakisoba and was very happy with her choice. I had Chicken Teriyaki and I was also happy. These were the real thing, Seattle style teriyaki that was grilled with a very nice teriyaki sauce. Nothing like the "healthy" choices you get in Southern California. A Japanese friend calls these places "fake Japanese", but we are OK with that. On top of the food being really good, the woman taking our orders and cleaning up, who is probably the owner, was really nice. Five stars *for cheap grub*--five stars compared to other teriyaki. This place is the fully legit yaki spot in South Everett. They know what they're doing for sure. They have a nice brightly lit corner space within the Fred Meyer building at Evergreen and Casino--if you look for the FM sign and then head for the south end of the parking lot, you can't miss it. They're especially known for their katsu, but that isn't something I check out very often. I had the chicken breast yaki and gyoza, and they do it up right. The extra spicy pepper sauce turns the chicken a little pink, which makes me a tony bit nervous, but it tastes good and they definitely deliver the heat. The gyoza are hot and juicy and taste like they bought a somewhat better-quality bag of pot stickers than the other places get. The service here is totally charming, they're just bubbly and friendly and you enjoy chatting with them while you're here. Prices are pretty much in line with what the other places charge. I have to say that the place was immaculately clean, too. When I am this far north, this'll be my go-to yaki spot from now on. read more

Since the owners have changed they regularly serve their food Cold/Luke warm, I don't even think they bother to reheat it. They pull it out of the warmer and serve chicken teriyaki Luke warm at best. Ordered this on UberEats a few days ago and it was great! One of the only teriyaki places that is open on Sundays is a huge plus. I ordered a combo of chicken and beef. The beef was fantastic! Went to Apple Tree Teriyaki in Everett yesterday. I paid $10.50 for beef teriyaki. I ordered to go. I got in my truck , and seen the Cheapskates did not even give me any extra teriyaki sauce. I have been to lots of teriyaki joints all over Everett. This is the first place where I have been, that did not put extra sauce in the to-go container. I like rice, but not dried rice. Food is decent, and nice portions. I've been coming in for months since I moved to the area. Biggest issue, and the last straw for me is the staff. Hours clearly say they close @9pm. Tonight, for the second time in less than 2 weeks I was turned away early. As i walk in to order, 8:38 pm the woman told me I was too late, and they were closing (trying to place a simple chicken teriyaki order to go). Made me feel as if I was bothering them and a burden. This was on my way home from work. So depending on who's working the register, they may, or may not be open until posted hours. Frustrating to say the least. I'm not going to beg them to take my hard earned money. I kindly let the woman know I would be leaving a yelp review about them not staying open until posted hours, and turning away a frequent customer. My wife and I have been a loyal customer ever since we moved to everett 4 years ago. Tonight is the last night we will ever visit. First off the sweet lady that use to give free gyoza no longer works there. The women that takes our order now is cold and shows little to no compassion or enthusiasm. Second, they didnt honor our free meal cards. We had two separate cards one with 3 meals and the other with 7. She said the owners dont honor it unless it is on the same card. Regardless of how many cards we have we still purchased 10 meals. I work for a company that does the 10th slice of pizza free and you can have ten separate cards for all they care. However, the lady who picked up the phone blamed it for Uber Eats and tell me to complain to Uber Eats, not their business with a bad attitude.
