It turns out that she got injured, and ended up starting her own business. If you subtract Sabrina and my experiences with her, my experiences with the salon were meh at best. The front desk staff was never really friendly (I got the impression I was bothering them?). It was incredibly frustrating that they didn't take credit cards, and that this wasn't very clear on their website. I went here for Sabrina Tucker. Without her, there wasn't a lot of redeeming aspects of the salon. While waiting for an appointment, I was asked to move so they could take a photo of a different client's hair. It felt weird, and like they should have a designated spot for photos that would require asking waiting clients to move. It honestly made me feel less valuable than the person be photographed (I was asked to move across the room). Also, the more I think about it, the more upset I am that when my partner came in for a men's haircut from Kevin, he left INJURED. That's not OK. I mentioned it to the front desk staff when at my appointment after the last update, and I didn't even get an apology. Not OK. Not OK at all. I like to support local businesses. I had a bad experience here the first time I had my eyebrows waxed, but I wanted to give them another chance. I made an appointment a week in advance for 2pm on a weekday. On the day of my appointment, Ashra called me at 1:20pm asking quite rudely if I was coming in. I said yes, I would be there at 2. She said, "It's 2:15!" I said, "No it's not, you must have forgotten to change your clock over the weekend". She didn't really apologize, just said they couldn't change their clock because it was up too high (you can't look at your phone or your watch?) and I could come in any time I liked. I arrived 5 minutes early. There were no customers in the shop. Ashra didn't offer to take my coat or offer me anything to drink, just hustled me into the tiny, cramped room in the back that looks like a storage closet. I have told her twice now that I have sensitive skin. Instead of being gentle, she literally ripped the skin off my eyelids and around my eyes and she pulled hair out of my head - that really hurt.
