I'm going to contradict what Billings Tony had said. We wanted to eat there on Tues nite but a wait person had not come to work so we could only get to-go. We were in a hotel right down the street so I guess that'll work. Soon a proposed 20-30 min wait turned into more than an hour. We had been on the road all day and were already hungry. Now we approached criticality! No apologies forthcoming. I was grumpy! The food was quite good though. And there was plenty of it. Prices were a bit high, but aren't they high for every damn thing? Fast and friendly service, nice variety on the menu, and good prices. I ordered the General Tso Chicken, which tasted like orange chicken to me. I confirmed with the waitress that I indeed got General Tso, she looked at it and said yesi could not taste any heat/spice at all. It was good, just could have been spicier. Looking at the front of the store, my husband and I looked at each other like "are we sure this is the place with the good reviews?" Once we walked in there was an entirely different feel. We were greeted by the staff, noticed all options on the menu than most- including a hefty vegetarian section. We settled on the tofu mixed vegetables and an order of sesame tofu. Both were amazing and had a ton of food. I highly recommend the sesame tofu. If in the area, would eat here again in a heartbeat! read more

I have been to this restaurant several times. They have very good food for a Chinese restaurant in Montana. Did I mention their prices are very reasonable? I spend a fair amount of time in San Francisco so I have had the honor to eat at some of the best Chinese restaurants. I'm not going to pretend this place is in that league but they do empress me. Today I tested the chef to see what they could do. I ordered the Hunan Pork knowing that would be a challenge. I was surprised with the outcome. It took them about 10 minutes longer than my wife's dish but it was worth the wait. The veggies were all high quality and cooked to perfection. The pork was sliced paper thin and was very tender. Doesn't get any more American than this. Its great! We particularly love their delivery service. Its free within a certain diatance. They will deliver in 35-55 minutes. Lunches are a great value. Most are 7.25 for main entree, fried rice, soup and crab meat wonton. (The crab meat wontons are amazing BTW.) Family Dinner Deals are also a great value. They have four different combinations of entrées, apps and soups. We like the #A Dinner for 12.50 a piece that comes with soup, egg roll and wonton with a few entrée choices. They will allow substitutions on the entrées as long as they aren't more expensive or for a small upcharge. They have completely remodeled here too and it's really nice now!! Our favorite dishes here are Szechuan Pork, Chicken Chow Mein, Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Curry. They have an awesome sweet and sour here too! We tried this restaurant because it had four stars and we were in the mood for Chinese food. We were pretty disappointed in the quality of the food. We started with pot stickers. I ordered pan fried but they were deep fried, little flavor. For our dinner plates, My husband and I both ordered the number 2 combo. The pork was tuff and had zero flavor. The chicken had a rubbery texture. Rice was mediocre. My soup was Luke warm. The wontons had a good flavor. The waitress, Alisha?, was nice but over worked. Well, as Chinese places ( good ones) are non- existent here in Kalispell this place ranks near the bottom. We had sweet and sour chicken and Kung Pow chicken, both of which didn't have any vegetables or chilies in the dish. It was just fried chicken with sauce. I was pleasantly surprised with the food at this restaurant, I had the mu shu beef. It was delicious, Although I had takeout, I noted the restaurant and kitchen appeared clean. Found this Chinese restaurant as we passed by the town of Kalispell. My dad was hungry so we decided to sit down at a table. Got served pretty quick, and our order was taken care of by an Asian woman in a decent manner. My dad enjoyed his vegetable beef combo but the food wasn't very authentic though, when I saw the only chef was a Spanish American woman with a loud voice walking back and forth. I used to order from here about once a week and the food was decent to not great. I've ordered a couple times since covid, wasn't good either time, and they "forgot" my wontons the second time. Inside it was sparkling clean & the decor is nice looking. Gazing over the menu & there were so many options.. went with the combo #8. Today I had my favorite Beef Chow Ho Fun and it was the same taste of what I had in Macau. I saw a photo in Yelp that looks good so that I came here for a try. It was located 16 miles south of Whitefish. If you go to West Glacier National Park or go to ski in Whitefish town, stop by here before arriving Whitefish where has no real Chinese food. On the US Highway 2 (East of US 93) in Kalispell. I have waited for 25 minutes for the food but it was worth to wait. Friendly reminder: if you just buy to-go food, call for your food before you go there picking up that will help you to save time. **Highly recommend this restaurant. Had lunch at Chinatown again today, after a wonderful experience in August 2021. Another great meal, huge portions, reasonable price, tender meat and lots of fresh vegetables. Hot & sour soup was great with perfect amount of spice and plentiful fresh mushrooms. I love the crab Rangoon that come with lunch, not over stuffed with cream cheese, light and delicious. Husband is not a fan of cream cheese so I got two! We will need back! read more

Checked into the hotel pretty late after a long drive, and we were famished. This place was the only one that was still open and it was across the street from our hotel, which was a major bonus. It's your typical Americanized Chinese food, and the decor isn't all that impressive, but the service was pretty good. We got the corn soup, vegetable seafood stir fry and spicy chicken. Torn between 4 vs 5 (husband goes for 5). Stopped by for dinner. Hot and sour soup was really flavorful but lacked the eggs, wood ear and tofu I'm used to seeing. We also had Beef Ho Chow Fun with thick slabs of beef and wide noodles - it was good! We also had Szechuan Tofu - a lot of sauce (which honestly I didn't mind and sorta liked) with mixed veggies and fried tofu served with steamed rice - I really liked this dish. Good portion size. Good service, they were really kind and attentive and the water glass was never less than 3/4 full. Very clean interior with booths and great lighting. Lots of take out customers walking in/out throughout our meal. This place deserves a try if you're in the area and want something to help with a Chinese food craving. This isn't Chinatown Boston/LA/NYC so set your expectations appropriately and you'll walk away belly full! read more

I am completely appalled by this restaurant. We went in there with a couple of friends, granted we went in an hour before closing..which I never (as a server/bartender myself) do but we are typically kind and good tippers. The server was super unfriendly, no customer service at all, like she couldn't even fake it! The spring rolls and potstickers were good to start. We got our main dishes...right away I saw a disgusting black hair RIGHT THERE in my white rice. I was already grossed out but decided not to tell the table and kept trying to eat...so I did, AND I FOUND ANOTHER HAIR in my chicken curry. I quit eating after just a couple of bites...flavor was ok but absolutely no appetite at that point. My friend then got to the last few bites of his and the curliest long black hair was on the bottom of HIS plate! I DON'T understand and I don't care to. I cannot understand the high ratings on this place. I don't want to think it's because it's the only place in town, but after eating there that's an appropriate guess. We just paid 30 dollars for take out for two (which for Chinese is high!!!) and it was by far, the worst I have ever had. For a number of reasons, and I am not one to exaggerate, I will eat almost anything. The lomein was actually just cheap spaghetti, large greasy tubular pasta instead of the light thin noodle I expected. Sweet and sour pork was dry, overcooked, bland and has AT MOST a tsp of sauce on the entire thing! It was nuts?!? So disappointed. We really enjoy eating here and will even drive way out of our way just to get take out. Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, Chinatown is consistently good and fresh. They also have a great lunch deal: an entree with your choice of rice, crab wonton, and your choice of soup for under or right around $10.
