Friend of mine just left the place and many people claimed about the food being ice cold. Food was given back to the workers and they placed the food that was given back rihht into the serving tray. When the next customer announced that she did not want the food that was placed back the server stated someone else may want it. This place is disgusting.

Omg they have a great variety of dishes buffet style. What a fantastic helping for an affordable price. Nice and clean environment with lots of choices. Delicious too

This is your typical American style fast food ready to eat Chinese food. Its like Panda Express but I don't support corporate restaurants and I'd rather support the mom & pop restaurants. I ordered the two combo plate with Kung Pao chicken, Orange Chicken, with noodles and rice - oh so good.

Ok sooo Firstly the women rudely shook her plate in order to rush me on choosing something when I had just approached the window. Not only that but when I did pick I was told I would have to wait an additional few minutes because the meat hadn't been added to the broccoli "So what did you rush me for?!" She rolled her eyes at me and multiple other customers Was also rude to another customer who simply asked for soy sauce... Most of the tables hadn't been cleaned -To top it off my food was less than flattering but you get what you pay for here literally. Rice was gummy egg rolls tasted old and the chicken kebab was yuck super hard...the only thing done close to right was the chow main.

I order through DoorDash for my friend and they are pretty accurate. I haven't had any issues with them right now.

Every time my parents are in town from the Midwest, they always ask to go here because they love…read moreit! The staff are always nice and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The restaurant has plenty of seating and walk-ins are welcome. I would maybe recommend making a reservation on a weekend because it can get busy for late dinner. I ordered a mojito to drink which was good. They made a snail out of the lime on my glass which was fun touch. We started with spring rolls and pan-fried dumplings for an appetizer. Both were very good! For the main dish, we ordered green beans, shrimp fried rice, lo main, and their famous slippery shrimp. Everything is very good but the best by far are the green beans and slippery shrimp!!!! We ordered another plate of slippery shrimp to take home, it's that good. The kitchen is quick and the food comes out when it's hot vs waiting till everything is done. The location of the restaurant is in the heart of Chinatown so it's all street parking. They do have valet parking out front on the left side of the restaurant. Overall I love this restaurant and highly recommend coming here for the SLIPPERY SHRIMP!

Parking can be a bear, but there are lots for a fee. It is safe and fun. Yang Chow has been there forever and they have the best fried rice and soup. They just don't serve bad food. The prices are fair and the place is comfortable and not usually crowded. It is a great place to take friends from out of town and it is kid friendly. The service is so kind and nice. They never rush you, but get your food out fast. We always get a bunch for the table and share. Their Sizzling Platter with Scallops is one of our favorited dishes and their Szechuan Chicken is so good. Their Pan Fried Dumplings and their spring rolls are a must. Have a great time in Chinatown.

I really enjoyed the dimly lit Hong Kong style bar. Food arrived pretty promptly after we ordered but we did get an array of hot and cold items. Flavors were fabulous. Fish potstickers had a delightful crunch and savory, flavorful filling. Shrimp shumai have a nice bite with plenty of filling. Our chili oil noodles had a great texture and wasn't too spicy. Their house made chili oil had a nice spice profile, not wildly spicy. Quaint place that was a perfect spot for two. Prices were reasonable and their house drinks were well balanced. Great experience.

I think it would've been better had they continued to pace things out. It wasn't busy around the time went so in my opinion they could've waited a bit. Now for the food...very underwhelming We were disappointed as we were eager to try this place! The dough was very thick for both the pork+crab xlb and the spicy wontons. The xlb hardly had any soup in it but I will say the broth that we were able to get out was v flavorful. The stewed beef noodle dish was very bland. The beef itself was very tender and I could tell the veg in it was fresh , but unfortunately it was a bland dish overall. The marinated tofu was bland as well. The star of the show for us was the beef hui tou! I think it was pretty tasty and fried beautifully. The drinks we had were just alright as well. Can't say I'd come back regrettably.

I am swooning over Woon!…read more I have not had good chinese food in so long, Woon did it for me. Chicken wings- I loved these chicken wings, these remind me of my childhood and ordering wings from chinese takeout places. They were crispy and covered in scallions! 5/5 Fried rice- I think this was only miss of the night for me. The texture was great, but I felt like it lacked flavor. 2/5 Beef noodles- I loved these! Bouncy, saucy noodles with the most amazing pieces of beef and mushroom. I genuinely would come back just because of these. 7/5 Scallion pancakes- light and flaky and came with a vinegary sauce that was amazing. I do wish they had slightly more scallions in them. 4/5 Service was good. You order before you sit down, so there's not too much interaction. The restaurant itself is a gorgeous with chill lighting and a decent amount of seating. Might even come back for my birthday!

Overall: 4.8!!! Can't wait to come and eat here again!…read more TLDR: casual vibe, good food (get beef noodle and pork belly) Ambiance: 5/5 (for casual dining) Woon is a cute vibrant eatery that charmingly reflects the essence of a homey Asian family style meal. From the short booths inside to the outdoor bistro style seating, there's nothing overtly fancy about the place. Definitely a casual vibe. Most importantly, I didn't feel like I'd be judged if I pulled up in a shirt and shorts. The kitchen is open and you order at a walk-up style register. Because of this, it was on the louder end (volume wise) throughout the meal since we sat inside BUT it was not too loud to have a good catch-up conversation. Definitely prefer the ambient noise of a bustling restaurant instead of the blaring electronic music found in many LA restaurants. Service was fast and friendly!! Food: 5/5 After eating here, I will be bringing everyone who visits me in LA to Woon!! I can't wait to eat here again! I ordered the beef noodles, pork belly over rice, the five spice chicken wings, and one scoop each of the two ice cream flavors they had. Holy sh*tballs the food was so good. The beef noodles had such a good flavor and the noodles themselves had an amazing chewy texture. The pork belly melted in my mouth and the sauce drizzled over the rice and veggies was so good - I actually ended up taking just the rice and veggies home (I had eaten the whole pork belly) because I couldn't stand to waste the sauce. The chicken wings were crispy and seasoned well but happened to be my least favorite dish (which is crazy because it was still so good!). I think eating the pork before the chicken definitely skewed it :) lastly, the ice cream was so delicious! I'm not completely sure if the flavors rotate but I had a vanilla scoop with peanut brittle topping as well as a vegan pineapple sorbet with a frothy pina colada tasting topping. I was so full from my actual dinner but the dessert was so good that I ended up scraping the bowl clean. When I go back, I'll be ordering the beef noodles, pork belly, and ice cream again!! I also really want to try the gai lan the next time. Price: 5/5 Definitely reasonable and a great value for the amount you get! Parking: 4/5 Street parking as much of LA usually is. Can be pretty busy and hard to find parking in the surrounding area. Got lucky and found a parallel spot down the street. Surrounding area: 5/5 I personally love a good bar after dinner and Rasarumah was such a cool/groovy place to grab a post-dinner cocktail! It was also only a block away. Echo park is also not very far if you wanted to get a little crazier. Not completely sure what else there is to do around the area especially in the daytime.
