    Shrimp Fried Rice

The portion size is amazing! But the rice was super dry. I had to add a bit of water and reheat it a bit to try and save it but it's not the same. The shrimp eggroll was really good however! Stayed nice and crispy on the ride over.

Was going in for pain white rice, did realize this wasn't a fast food.....they cook to order so I got fried rice & they give you fresh cooked not sitting on a steam table food......& it taste great I will be going back!

I ordered some food through Postmates and the food came damaged. Clearly they tried to save a penny on an extra plastic bag and shoved my whole order(for the office) into one flimsy bag, and the juices from the plates spilled all over inside the bag, because the plates were crushed. The fuck is that? Food is over-salted. Orange chicken is way too breaded. Mongolian beef is rough and literally all onions.

Ok, so this is my second visit post covid, as you can see the food has gone from great to blahs! Taste, presentation cooking methods all get a big fat "F"! DRAGON LOCO IT'S TIME TO CLOSE THE DOORS!! IT'S A WRAP

When in doubt, you ended up in South Central and you were craving for some Chinese takeout, yep it was Dragon Loco. Located in a not very pleasant place, I saw broken glasses everywhere near the bus stop in front, must be a war zone here. Parking was super limited as they share with Fred Loya insurance and 7eleven, some was only reserved for 7eleven. The service was good, the lady who took my order was super nice and friendly although she didn't know much about history of the restaurant she said it has been here for at least 30 years, and I might just be the only Asian customer in this hood, as she said sometimes she had drunk and aggressive customers coming in and it was very scary. Also I wonder what that chicken salad tasted like since the menu said OUT for like a few years, but at least I got to taste the garlic wings and that probably the best of them all because the chop suey and the shrimp broccoli were both soaking in sauce, I meant too much sauce and if I knew that I would have asked for steamed instead, they didn't have brown rice option as she explained it was taken too long to cook, so no rice for me, but I got so thirsty after maybe due to high sodium intake or MSG, my tongue got that tingling sensation for a bit after finishing all the food, I tried to avoid the sauce but it was unavoidable. At least they allowed you to sit down and eat inside, and the lady was super nice, the trash can was right there but she insisted to help me clean all the boxes after I was done. So I had Chinese food before but this is something the restaurant cook catering to the demographics of the locals here, lots of rice lots of sauce and super salty, for me that would not be how I eat, well at least I knew what to order next time. They have a Vitamix blender so at least their smoothies will be good, then their service was super fast too, they said 5 mins for each customer who came to order and I could hear they were amazed their orders got ready within 3 mins, if you want to support them, check them out once, if you want real Chinese food, maybe look into others :)

The coconut shrimp is to die for so amazing!!! I swallowed the shrimp egg rolls and wontons. The orange chicken was good as the shrimp fried rice was ok only because after I tasted the coconut shrimp I couldn't eat the other shrimp but over all I loved it!!!!

Worst chinese food ever!! If I could give if 0 stars I would. First and final time I ever go there. I had decided to give it a try because of all the good reviews despite the kinda costly plates but how I regret wasting $29 on 3 plates. The food tasted old without flavor and you could straight out tell it had been microwaved because of the huge bubbles on the white boxes and the food's flavor. Beside this , the orange chicken was way to hard and way to overcooked. It was if I was eating rocks and when it was finally broken down it was chewy . Do not waste your money here! I could tell that they are still in business it's because they accept EBT , cause because it is not definetely not because of the good food. P.S : do not get fooled ! Food is not made to order that is just a catch to get customers . Nasty food, makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

Happies is located in Arts District and I came here on a Sunday dinner and didn't have any problems with parking. But, I can see how it might be hard to find if you come during peak hours. The restaurant was pretty empty. First thing I noticed was that there were tons of employees but no one really said anything. Since there was no one ordering, they were all standing around. You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.

Each time we passed by, it seemed like they were closed and or never answered their phone when we called to see if they were open. We kept telling each other one day we're going to stop by and see if they actually are open. So on Friday after exiting the freeway I made my way to Jim Dandy and saw folks going in and coming out. This location is in the middle of the hood. They have bulletproof windows once inside and this location is order and pickup, no dining available. I didn't see the menu until I was done with ordering. Which made it hard for myself. I seen the menu after I ordered. I walked out with 12 pieces of chicken regular not spicy. Corn fritters, macaroni salad, peach cobbler and a banana pudding. Once home we set up our table and began to devour our food. We were blown away with the chicken it is better than most places we have been to not saying any names. The pieces of chicken were huge fresh and crispy. The macaroni salad was just right amount of mayo and seasoning. The peach cobbler was wrapped perfectly not damaging the crust. The banana pudding was a little watery not sure if that was due to the heat going on in the bag as everything was bagged together. I immediately put it in refrigerator so it could get cold and become solid than running. I have no idea what there hours are next time I go in I'll ask or look for signs. There is plenty parking not that folks stay long. Food seems to come out in a timely manner. So parking comes and goes. I cannot wait to try there dirty rice and corn fritters without the powder sugar. I didn't get a photo of them as they got devoured.

What a great find. It's a counter-order, takeout-style spot, which was no problem at all. The service was solid. The guy who took my order also handled putting everything together, and you can tell when someone's on it--nothing was missing and everything came out right. I ordered a 3-piece, and it definitely hit the spot. The chicken was flavorful and satisfying, and the onion rings were just as good--crispy and delicious. I got there a little late, and it felt like a true local spot. Everyone was relaxed, just there for some really good fried chicken. No hype--just good food.
