Food is always good! Never a disappointment! Over 40 years same location! A Los Angeles staple

old school design and seating. Service was ok... the food lacks luster. Chicken wings seemed old and tuff... were either overcooked or freezer burnt or both. can't say i recommend any items tried; Burger, teriyaki chicken or wingz. read more

The food is always so amazing here ! It's consistent, fair price & very tasty !! The cashiers are always nice & I've never gotten the wrong order here. A must try has to be their fries !! Always . I've been to many burger spots around the area & nothing compares to these & the burgers . They definitely have a signature taste and are fried to perfection (at least for my taste). Alsoooo they have an AMAZING turkey burger ! I've tried one somewhere else and it doesn't beat this one ! I can try other ones & let you guys know my findings . Alsooo they serve breakfast here . I love their breakfast burritos & the Pancakes can't miss (although I'll have to say Tom's Jr has my favorite pancakes ) . Their drinks are always good and they have a huge menu. The only downside side would probably be the surrounding area sometimes.. I do live around here and I've walked to this location both during the day & night . I prefer taking the small streets to get here rather than the main streets ( less people and safer). Overall the atmosphere inside the location is nice, friendly & they do have a drive-thru ! read more

The burgers are delicious and the amount of fries for the large size are good! Breakfast burritos are also filling.

Food service was ok chicken tenders where stringy and they had to much breading. The fries were plan and they had no seasoning. Their dressing sauce needs more flavor but over all it ok. read more

This place is yummy everything i have tried has been fire!! Must come and try. Also great customer service!! read more

Charging for thousand island when I ordered chilli cheese fries is crazy. I get charging for extra, but I wasn't even given one which is standard so that's a little disappointing. The wait times are long as well. The soda does not taste like it's supposed to. Chilaquiles are also not worth buying here. read more

I ordered 6 breakfast burritos at $12 each after tax. They gave me 4 salsas to go with it. What the fuck? You cant match the salsas to the burritos? Two of my guys now dont get salsa? Do i need to pay extra to get a salsa for each burrito? I dont care what the burrito tastes like at this point. The little attention to detail is what really matters read more

Golden Ox - the contents of a meal on a table - Fast Food Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Dissatisfied with the chicken dinner, they over cooked the food and still had the audacity to serve the food to go instead of preparing a fresh batch. Call to let them know and employee stated just tell us next time and we will cook it better for you but can't do anything for you now. This place use to be great growing up, food quality has definitely gone down. read more

This place is everything I would want tams to be. The fries are good and aren't lazy with the food they make. Great spot

Love the burgers and food good taste and the service great as well . My family loves the food as well.

They have their good and bad days. It's been twice in a row where they have served me old fries, maybe from earlier that day. I'll still buy burgers from there tho read more

Great food employees and a great vibe. Everyone should make a trip here if you have the time

Over all food smelled nice presentable but before eating I picked a fry or too and there was hair under them. Why aren't their hair nets this is the second time won't be back. read more

Love there teriyaki plate also the food is amazing and good price they do accept Apple Pay

I order food here often. But I felt very bad today. As soon as I see the food, I don't really like the store here that gives me the burnt food. I don't understand if you're asking me to eat this. No matter how busy you are, isn't it a little common sense to bring this to the customer? read more

This is an easy place to pass up, but there are a couple things on the menu that keep me coming back whenever I'm in the area. First of all, the fries are amazing. Probably some of the best fries I've ever had, and they always come piping hot. They don't stay that way for long unfortunately, but I would recommend taking your food to go. The inside of the place itself isn't super clean. That's why mankind invented the drive-thru. I usually order the chicken quesadilla - let me preface this by saying it is delicious, but really greasy. I normally end up with a stomach ache the next morning, but I keep taking the risk because it's very good once in awhile when you've decided your diet doesn't matter today. Cheat meal worthy? Maybe not. Hangover remedy? Absolutely. read more

I been going here for years and I can gladly say that I recommend going here. I can't say everything is good but most of the thing they make is delicious. The service so far to me been good. The lady's at the counter are alway polite to me. The thing that is a little down is the inside of the place it look dirty and broken down a little. But everything is really good. read more

I've been coming to this place for years. I recommended it to co-workers who began to come. But recently the priced have gotten ridiculous. When I started coming the bacon and egg sandwich was $7 now its $13. They change their prices so often and the service has changed to For they use to be so pleasant now it's seems a little unfriendly. The guys are nice however. I'll still go just not as often read more

The Golden Ox has the best tacos i have ever had!! This place deserves 5 stars all the way!! I will be back for sure A+++

There is nothing special about this place. The burgers are okay, prices are decent and the staff is friendly enough. Nothing that I have tried here has sent me on a flavor high, Try the Chili cheese fries, they always go fast at my relatives house. read more

I really only Adore when they serve Breakfast. I ordered a Beacon & Egg Breakfast with my very on twist to it. I added white rice to my breakfast. So my Breakfast was: Rice, Beacon, Eggs, and Toast and Orange Bang. That's the perfect Breakfast for me and yes I killed it. Golden Ox is a VERY Respectful Burger stand. I've NEVER had a problem with the Employees at this location. The employees actually teach me certain words to remember in Spanish every time I visit. I've been a Faithful customer since 2011. Golden Ox will always have a place in my heart. read more

If you are in Los Angeles and hungry for chili cheese fries, have no doubt that Golden Ox has the best in south L.A... I've tried many from tams, toms, bobos; but none come near theirs. The burgers are decent as well as price and service. read more

This place has the best burritos i have ever had! The burrito is huge! I mean it isn't even wrapped like other burritos, this thing fills up a to-go box alone. Def. a knife and forker. They melt a slice cheese on it and top it with a roasted tomato salsa. yum. Anything they have with carne asada in it is great & I'm not even a fan of carne asada. It looks like just another charbroiled burger place but man, their mexican food is no joke. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Got the chicken strip dinner, took a while. When I got it as from the picture you can see the chicken was dry like a bone, could barely bite into the strips. They obviously left it in the fryer too long. But it's obvious that they messed up the chicken, why even serve it to me. The French fries were over salted with some weird salt. And the salad was probably from yesterday which they ruined with the dressing they put on it. read more

This is a decent restaurant, been here a few times and it's usually a good place if you are looking for something cheap and fast. Make sure you bring cash because they don't accept credit or debit card. They have an ATM machine but like most ATM machines you will be charged a small fee (I was charged $2). If you choose to eat here then don't be surprised if you have to clean your own table, sometimes they aren't cleaned after people leave. read more
