    Disgusting sweet and sour chicken

I ordered a combo with shrimp chop suey and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was a bunch of old burnt pieces of chicken with NO SAUCE! The shrimp chop suey was covered in a hot spicy sauce. I can't and don't eat anything spicy. What a disgusting meal

New Chow Mein just came out.

When I came in most of the items were low. Not enough orange chicken and the wait would been long so I didn't get it. Orange chicken is my must and I Coudn't get it today :(. Instead I got kungpow chicken and teriyaki chicken. I've had better teriyaki chicken but it wasn't bad. Kungpow had a nice sauce and the texture of the chicken was nice. They were also low on chow mein so I waited a bit for that but not that long. It was so yummy I enjoyed the chow mein it overpowered everything else cuz it came out fresh. The lady was nice. I was in the area so I decided to come here to try. Would only come back if I was in the area.

The food is so good. I love the spicy shrimp fry rice. They really have the best Chinese food in town.

Think made-to-order elevated food court Chinese-ISH-style dishes. SERVICE: when we first walked in, the guy bussing tables onto his cart made eye contact, then COMPLETELY IGNORED US despite it being obvious that we were there for dinner. off-putting, i ALMOST WALKED OUT :/ Once we chased someone down and got seated, our waiter was super FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. Food came out quickly and piping hot. FOOD: PORTIONS-what stands out is the HUGE PORTIONS, one plate could probably feed to and perhaps three moderate eaters. QUALITY-unusually and OVERWHELMINGLY OILY. Way more than I would've expected, and detracted from the eating experience. **Cheese WonTon-wrappers were FRIED CRISP AND TENDER, but the decent dollop of cream cheese filling was overwhelming. **KUNG POW CHICKEN was the BEST DISH we had, barely spicy but it hid the oiliness better somehow. **NOODLE (?chow fun) SHRIMP was difficult to eat, and the EXCESSIVE GREASE COATED MY TONGUE so bad the i couldn't taste the shrimp or veggies. **BLACK BEAN BEEF was fair. OILY BUT FLAVORFUL. veggies were nicely cooked still crunchy, but the HARSH ONIONS were overpowering. sweet or milder onions would let me taste the other ingredients more. the beef itself was tender and tasty. I personally won't be returning, but I see the value due to large portions and moderate prices. i'd gladly sacrifice quantity for higher quality.

I've…read moreseen social media influencers rave about it, and several people in my personal life have recommended it too. All I can say is the hype is real. My crew and I went on a Friday night, and even though it was very busy, we were seated fairly quickly. There were four of us, and here's what we ordered: chicken fried rice, Shanghai-style chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and juicy pork dumplings. Chicken Fried Rice: It was soft and pillowy with great flavor, though I felt it could have used a bit more color. It looked a little pale, but it was still delicious. Shanghai-Style Chow Mein: This was perfect. The flavor was spot on, the sauce was well-balanced, and the noodles had the ideal texture. The ratio of noodles, vegetables, and meat was just right. Sweet and Sour Chicken: This was the highlight for me. My only regret is not ordering more to take home. The chicken was crispy without being overdone, and it was coated in that delicious sweet and sour sauce. Juicy Pork Dumplings: We were at a dumpling house, so we had to order dumplings. These did not disappoint. They were very flavorful, and the broth inside was rich and satisfying. We originally planned to order more dishes, but the portions were generous, and we ended up with just the right amount to leave satisfied. Overall, this place lives up to the hype. I can't wait to come back and try more.

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

No more beef, shrimp, Chinese donut, or BBQ pork rice rolls. The breakfast combination offers choices of congee, then a dime sum, and stir-fried soy sauce noodles. I haven't been back in a long time since this location is a bit farther from me, but after seeing someone post about the $8.99 beef chow fun, I had to come check it out. They had actually remodeled this location and everything is all nice and new. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, but I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they offer an afternoon tea menu. I'll have to come back to try it sometime, but my main reason for visiting was the beef chow fun. It's also available on the afternoon tea menu, but it's about $4 more to include a drink, which I decided to skip this time. Here is my verdict on the been chow fun: the portion size was solid, and I noticed they used both red and yellow onions in the dish. I do wish there were more bean sprouts, but they were generous with the beef, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise, it was quite good as well. Overall, I would come back if I happen to be in the area. Otherwise, the pricing is comparable to other Hong Kong-style cafés, so I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way just for this location.
