    Orange chicken

Food was really really good. Orange chicken was well sauced and crispy. Good customer service as well

China Boy Bakery is back! After a short hiatus during the pandemic, Anna is ready to serve her customers like they're her family. You can't beat how warm and friendly she is. She's just so thankful for every person that walks in. And her food is delicious! It's Chinese comfort food at its best. It's a bit more expensive than Chinese fast food but the menu has the classics. Their chow mein is so good. Additionally the orange chicken is perfectly crispy and sauced. She makes these chicken wings on sticks and in addition to tasting good, they're also easy to eat because of the sticks. If you're lucky enough, you should definitely try Anna's walnut cookies. She doesn't always have them available but they are so buttery and delicious! The one thing I'll say is that you may want to plan to get the food for takeout. The restaurant is pretty tiny and not the nicest. This is a small business that you'll feel great supporting!

    Shrimp chow mein

I got shrimp chow mien and pork buns , let me tell you it was so delicious compare to other Chinese restaurants. When we walked in they were so welcoming and it felt homey, they even gave us dessert while we were waiting for our food. I strongly recommend you to try this spot if you are looking for an authentic restaurant.

House fried rice with spicy pork chops was delicious. Best fried rice pork chop combo I've ever had and trust me I've had a lot. Simply delicious. Added the chili sauce too

Nope, it's been months since someone in their family needed surgery so they had to close the store down. Don't know if it's temporary or permanent. Hopefully everyone is okay though 👏🏻

SERVICE: when we first walked in, the guy bussing tables onto his cart made eye contact, then COMPLETELY IGNORED US despite it being obvious that we were there for dinner. off-putting, i ALMOST WALKED OUT :/ Once we chased someone down and got seated, our waiter was super FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. Food came out quickly and piping hot. FOOD: PORTIONS-what stands out is the HUGE PORTIONS, one plate could probably feed to and perhaps three moderate eaters. QUALITY-unusually and OVERWHELMINGLY OILY. Way more than I would've expected, and detracted from the eating experience. **Cheese WonTon-wrappers were FRIED CRISP AND TENDER, but the decent dollop of cream cheese filling was overwhelming. **KUNG POW CHICKEN was the BEST DISH we had, barely spicy but it hid the oiliness better somehow. **NOODLE (?chow fun) SHRIMP was difficult to eat, and the EXCESSIVE GREASE COATED MY TONGUE so bad the i couldn't taste the shrimp or veggies. **BLACK BEAN BEEF was fair. OILY BUT FLAVORFUL. veggies were nicely cooked still crunchy, but the HARSH ONIONS were overpowering. sweet or milder onions would let me taste the other ingredients more. the beef itself was tender and tasty. I personally won't be returning, but I see the value due to large portions and moderate prices. i'd gladly sacrifice quantity for higher quality.

The quality of food is good, often receive large portions and prices are reasonable. I've been visiting this location since the early 2000's. It has become my "good job" treat; driving from Downtown Los Angeles to Montebello. My go to is the "Miki bowl" (chicken teriyaki/rice bowl) with extra teriyaki sauce (because it is BOMB!). P.s. sitting indoors is available but right out front, there are outdoor seating areas.

We had pretty good service and the staff answered questions about their food options. Plenty of seating inside if you'd like to dine in. We ordered two plates and the spring rolls. Fried rice: 4/5 The rice was pretty good but not like other places where there's egg & veggies. I feel like the lack of these ingredients made it a little plain. I think you could do either white rice or fried for a similar experience. Chow mein: 3/5 Pretty okay at the most. Isn't too overly greasy and not super long noodles. Not much to say about this item. Broccoli Beef: 3.5/5 Okay flavor, good amount of sauce. We appreciated that it wasn't too dry but the beef was chewy. Some pieces inedible. Orange Chicken: 4/5 Very tasty and the sauce had a good savory flavor. The right amount of crisp and not chewy. Would order again! Bbq Pork: 4/5 Very tasty but a little dry. I really liked that they included sauce on the side to add to your preference. Big pieces of meat though which made for a large portion. Would get again. Teriyaki chicken: 3/5 The chicken was ok.. had some tough pieces of skin so we had to remove. The chicken itself was nothing special, tasted like any other teriyaki chicken. Predictable and quick option if you want something local & fast. Spring rolls: 3/5 Good value and nice option for a quick lunch add on or side. While a little cold, it still had good texture & flavor. Would stop by for this again. Overall, it is a good spot if you're already in the area trying to find something quick. The portions are huge and will get you full, but it isn't the most flavorful takeout we've had. There are definitely other options in the area that can hit both flavor & quick pickup in one go. Unlikely to return unless I was in a rush for something fast.

They had a Chinese menu and a Vietnamese menu. Honestly, it was a tough choice. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls , and the bun Bo nuong cha gio. The dishes were prepared with quality and patience. Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue.
