Food was really really good. Orange chicken was well sauced and crispy. Good customer service as well

China Boy Bakery is back! After a short hiatus during the pandemic, Anna is ready to serve her customers like they're her family. You can't beat how warm and friendly she is. She's just so thankful for every person that walks in. And her food is delicious! It's Chinese comfort food at its best. It's a bit more expensive than Chinese fast food but the menu has the classics. Their chow mein is so good. Additionally the orange chicken is perfectly crispy and sauced. She makes these chicken wings on sticks and in addition to tasting good, they're also easy to eat because of the sticks. If you're lucky enough, you should definitely try Anna's walnut cookies. She doesn't always have them available but they are so buttery and delicious! The one thing I'll say is that you may want to plan to get the food for takeout. The restaurant is pretty tiny and not the nicest. This is a small business that you'll feel great supporting!

    Shrimp chow mein

I got shrimp chow mien and pork buns , let me tell you it was so delicious compare to other Chinese restaurants. When we walked in they were so welcoming and it felt homey, they even gave us dessert while we were waiting for our food. I strongly recommend you to try this spot if you are looking for an authentic restaurant.

House fried rice with spicy pork chops was delicious. Best fried rice pork chop combo I've ever had and trust me I've had a lot. Simply delicious. Added the chili sauce too

This restaurant is located within the Montebello Plaza. Tons of free parking so no worries there. Got here within an hour of closing time. Upon entry, my first impression was, it's a hole in the wall. Upon my last bite of the food, my last impression was, it's a hidden gem with a hole in the wall aura. It turns out this place is a fusion between Chinese and Hawaiian flavors. Cool! However, the name of the biz tells me otherwise. I was thinking Chinese and Japanese. I was greeted right away by Jenny. I believe she is the owner. She's a very friendly and nice lady. Thanks Jenny for your warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. Atmosphere was okay. A few tables and chairs for dine-in. Menu was quite massive. I wanted something simple so I got the special plate with 2 items that comes with white rice and/or chow mein noodles. First, I checked out the items under the heat lamps. There weren't too many options left since it was already late. The two items that still looked appetizing were the teriyaki chicken and stir fried zucchini + green beans so that's what I got. There was a fresh pan of broccoli and beef, but I don't eat beef. However, broccoli looked mighty fresh and green. I asked Jenny if she would throw in some broccoli in my plate alongside the chosen veggies. She said she couldn't do a full scoop because it would be considered a 3rd item, but a couple stalks of broccoli is fine. Thanks Jenny for the 2 tasty broccoli! As I was paying for my special plate, I looked up and saw the famous Miki Bowl to the right of the menu. Bowl is basically teriyaki chicken with white rice. I got it for my eldest daughter. She liked it! Here's my take on the food, everything and I mean everything was delicious. Chicken was perfectly marinated and so very tender. Good amount of it, too. YUM! Must get every time. All veggies were fresh, crunchy, and well seasoned. I was super surprised how tasty the chow mein noodles turned out. I couldn't stop eating them. It was that good. Rice is rice... nothing special. I highly recommend Miki Chan's for great service, amazing taste and flavors, exceptional value, and very generous portions (I think my plate was about 3 lbs of food). Come and get some tasty goodness! I know I'll be back for sure.

They even have Set Dinner Menu that comes with pre-set items. Have to give that a try one day. We ended up ordering the Bún Bò Huế and the Vietnamese Braised Fish. The Braised Fish did not come with steam rice, so we had to order the steam rice. For the drinks, we had the Peach Oolong Iced Tea and the 3-Colored Dessert. The Bún Bò Huế was very good. The Braised Fish was a little salty but still tasted good. The Peach Oolong Iced Tea was refreshing. The 3-Colored Dessert was very yummy. I enjoyed the sweet taste of it. It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.

For a number of reasons, we wanted something that was spicy and neither meat nor carb heavy. Our search led us here. At this hour, even for a relatively small establishment, garrulous banter from the large, center table spread and filled the restaurant, while smaller groups along the walls maintained their quiet conversations. We found a table and based on our predetermined preferences, ordered the spicy tofu, shredded potato stir fry, and spicy fish. To the amusement of the waitress, we didn't order any bowls of rice. Our main carb the potato came out first and was a delicious albeit simple dish, subtle on the spice with slices of chilis thrown in. The tofu came next and complemented the potatoes nicely with flavors satisfying enough to hold us over, since the fish did take a while to arrive. When it did, we were treated to a generous amount of fish pieces in an oily stew with chilis, cabbage, and bean sprouts. My mouth is watering recounting this, and there's plenty on the menu I'd like to try next time.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!

The Peking duck lived up to the hype. I liked that they use pancakes instead of the buns, and building each bite with hoisin, green onion, cucumber, duck meat, and crispy skin gave a great mix of textures and flavors. The other dishes were solid too. The pea sprouts were fresh and loaded with garlicky flavor without being overpowering. The shrimp fried rice was probably one of the best value dishes we ordered at around $13 -- lots of shrimp mixed throughout and a great filler for the table. The honey walnut shrimp was unique because it came with melon, which added a refreshing touch. The shrimp itself was super crispy and I appreciated that it wasn't drowning in sauce or overly sweet. The French style beef was another standout -- packed with fresh peppers and the meat was incredibly tender. Overall, you really can't go wrong ordering here. The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. I was also disappointed they took the sweet and sour fish off the menu because that dish was amazing a few months ago. The five-color noodles were light, clean, and refreshing. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead. It was a bit gamier than expected, but still tasty. The black fungus with tofu was also excellent--well seasoned and full of flavor. Overall, there were a few misses, but the Peking duck, sea bass, scallops, pork elbow, and black fungus with tofu made the meal worth coming back for.
