I had a very specific craving for Egg Foo Young, and I'm so glad I found this spot! We've been searching for good Chinese takeout, and after seeing the strong reviews, we decided to give it a try. This is definitely a takeout-only location (right in the Wawa space). I'm very particular about how places look and how clean they appear, so I chose to wait outside while our order was prepared. I'll just leave it at that and move on. Service was... well, carryout service, if you know what I mean. Now for the food -- it travels well, which is always a plus. Since my husband had never tried Egg Foo Young before, we went all in and ordered the House Special Egg Foo Young, House Special Fried Rice, and Shrimp Egg Rolls. The Egg Foo Young: Made fresh, and the gravy was light and flavorful. It definitely satisfied my craving. We both agreed that just a touch more salt and pepper would have made it perfect. The Fried Rice: This was the standout of the meal. Not greasy at all and generously packed with chicken, shrimp, and roast pork. Very well done. The Egg Rolls: Fried perfectly, crispy with just the right amount of oil and plenty of cabbage. The only downside was that there were only two small shrimp inside. Overall, we'll definitely be driving back to try more dishes... but I'll probably still be waiting outside . Glad we finally found a solid takeout spot! read more

I ordered delivery so I can't speak on the actual restaurant. For starters, I ordered the Wonton Soup & the Pork Egg Rolls, both very good. For entrees I ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young w/ extra gravy, the Beef Lo Mein, and then the Chicken & Broccoli. Everything was good, no complaints at all. I ordered chicken and rice soup and it arrived looking more like a container of cooked rice topped with some very skinny strands of chicken. (If that was what it was). I was informed by the manager that I should have instructed the cook to have the rice on the side. This is a fairly new soup on the menu and it can be ordered as chicken noodle or S chicken and rice SOUP. The wonton soup never lacked broth. What I received was chicken and rice with a tablespoon of broth. You look at the picture and tell me. I'm disappointed and saddened to hear from the owner he couldn't replace it. It only takes 1 thing to turn you away and this may be it. As certified chef I think I know the difference between chicken and rice soup and chicken and rice ...side dish. This is my go to place for chicken with mixed vegetables in garlic sauce for the last several years. I drive about 16 minutes to get there, passing several other Chinese restaurants. The food is prepared to perfection right before your eyes with lots of freshly cooked vegetables and chicken, no msgand just the right amount of salt. Waiting is a breeze--orders are cooked in 10 minutes or less. And if you get hungry late at night, you can pick up your order by 10:30. Update: When restaurants reopened in Maryland during the pandemic, this was my first choice of eating out. As always, the food was spot on just as tasty as it was prior to closing. Just had Door Dash delivery roast pork with mixed vegetables, pork fried rice, and pork dumplings. Incredibly delicious. Vegetables included bok choy, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, broccoli and baby corn. Not something from a bag. Pork was plentiful and tender. Dumplings were tender but with a nice sear. Dipping sauce delicious. Fried rice was the same. I couldn't ask for anything more. Well, I could have asked for extra duck sauce, but forgot. Nooo problem. Ok I have lost all respect for this place. My mom has been ordering here for years. She places an order today. Mind you she can't get out to the store which is why she placed an order for delivery. Mind you the one star given is just for the polite delivery person. So I will make this as short as possible. Mom ordered fried butterfly shrimp and yat ga mein. Same things she orders just about everytime. Order comes today and the yat ga mein is there but, then there was something mom didn't order nor did she know what it was. I called back to the store to inquire for them to say it was shrimp with bacon. So far off from fried butterfly shrimp. So basically they told me that's what my mom asked for. Sir, I'm afraid not. I know darn well mom didn't ask for that. However, the whole purpose of mom ordering was because she can't get out. So not only is mom out of money she also can't eat what they have sent. 4 stars is not enough. I drove up to order and found they were set for Covid. Order It out front, wait in your car or come back in 20 minutes and your order will be ready. There was a menu taped on the window and hand sanitizer on the ordering table. Happy to see some are compliant still. With that I ordered, and left to get something at the grocery store. When I came back it was ready. So, how was the food? Well we requested some of the dishes be very spicy and were happy with the results. The Hunan chicken is a staple, but usually it has an attempted spicy add, this time it was spot on. The steamed dumplings were good, the sauce was sweet, and the dumplings were not the thick noodle type, these looked hand made. The lo mein had a mild sauce, which was enjoyable! The teriyaki chicken was a bit fatty, but the sauce held it in, not not favorite, but still adequate. The real surprise was the Kung Pao chicken. Typically a dish deep fried with this awkward glop of sugary orange sauces and a piece of broccoli to pretend it was healthy dressed into it. This time though, It was not a goopy over sugared sauce, but a spicier, tastier version with less of the beaded globs. I was so happy to find a place with the thick dumplings, not just gyoza. I always get fried dumplings and have liked almost every entree I've tried here. The beef lo mein was filling and tasty, the shrimp with lobster sauce very flavorful with plenty of shrimp, moo shu beef great, and the pork fried rice is well prepared. The shrimp with garlic sauce was good, though it isn't spicy like the menu shows. Spend over $12 and get a complementary spring roll, which are flaky and good! Great Chinese food for a great price!!! Hands down that's the best chicken wings!!!! Not greasy at all. I ordered chicken wings with combination fried rice SPICY and they cooked it to order. Reminds me of NYC style Chinese food. Very tasty. The food tastes fresh, which was not expected given the reasonable prices. I didn't give 5 stars, because the facility looks run down. They need to invest in remodeling the actual restaurant specifically the seating area and images on the wall. If looks could kill, the look of the inside would turn you around. No meat in egg rolls and they tasted refried, old soggy Rotten broccoli 2 day old shrimp (SMALL ORDER), old dry chicken and my ice tea was missing. I called the place back told the lady on the phone claiming to be the owner about my food she started screaming the food is not old which brings us here. After a good long puke and belly cramps out of this world I am here to say these days food safety should mean even more with Covid in the air. The food is very good, however I started noticing that they were "cutting back" on the portions of proteins in their dishes. I ordered a large chicken and broccoli on yesterday and I got home and it was 98$% broccoli with only a small bit of chicken. Last week I ordered a large shrimp fried rice and had to search for the shrimp. This practice of deceiving your customers is not cool. I will not eat there anymore. Disappointed I ordered a $20 dinner (full appetizer and Chef's selection entree', $12+) and twice in 6 months got no fortune cookie and had to beg for the grease proof/white plastic bag to put the hot, paper bag covered items it. To begin, I ordered the pork Lo mein and it was edible, not the best but it would do. I also had the pu pu platter along with my friend. The ribs didn't have a lot of meat on them.
