Alright alright my son and I are from New York. atlanta hasn't offered any NYC type Chinese food but today I will say I found something really close to it. The food was fresh and flavorful. I ordered general tso chicken with fried rice and extra onions. They didn't have any bean sprouts but it is okay hopefully they add that to their rice in the future. I am ordering again today so crossing fingers we have a back to back good experience. Parking is in the back in case no parking on Main Street. Beyond shocked by my recent experience. It was such a great experience, the food taste amazing and it wasn't greasy at all. An employee told me about this restaurant so I definitely had to try it. I ordered the sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice. I do like that they're health score is extremely high. I will most definitely be back. Update: I went back today and tried another dish. I got my favorite beef and broccoli. Amazing. All the flavors were there and it didn't taste greasy as well. I tried their chicken dumplings which are delicious and my favorite the shrimp egg roll. I'm shocked. Slightly impressed. Called in an order of sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, large wonton soup, and crab rangoon. Paid like 22 and change. The smell of the restaurant is off putting , hope I don't find out something weird in the future ;/ The total wait time was 15 minutes. They take cash or card. Everything was pretty bomb except the sesame chicken. It tasted pre-made, not even reheated. But could also totally see it being bomb it was fresh. The fried rice was made with yellow rice with carrots, onions, peas, and shrimp (protein of choice). The wonton soup noodles were a little tough for my liking, but good flavor. Hidden little Chinese restaurant next to the barber shop on Main St in College Park. I started coming here whenever I get my hair done at the salon next door. I've been trying to find a spot that has good egg flower soup....found it! Right consistency and made fresh to order each time. They also have pretty good lunch and dinner specials. Under $10 bucks! Also...Can't go writing with a shrimp egg roll or two. Delicious. Less than 10 min wait time for food. Parking: Street Parking. Filthy !! The place wasn't even cleaned since the last tenant was there ! Baseboards are disgusting. Walls are dirty. It gets worse as you get closer to the kitchen. I tried it out alone, before inviting someone to join me there in the future. I will NEVER go back there. The Lo Mein had carrots, green onion, celery, shrimp, chicken, and charsiu (Chinese barbecued pork). I liked the Lo Mein. They also had canned and bottled beverages for $1-$1.50. I was recently staying in College Park, and decided to try some local flavor. I didn't have the best luck finding someplace to eat. Bone-tired and battle-weary from a day of taking the Bar exam, I just wanted someplace where I could plop into a booth and order something decent to get ready for the next day. The first two places I tried weren't open yet (Radial and Noodle) so China Wok it was! This place clearly specializes in takeout orders. I was the only customer who stayed to eat my meal there, and it was a little awkward. There was no music (which I appreciated, because I was studying) and the decor was incredibly basic. It looked sort of like the antiques shop from the beginning of "Gremlins." I just rolled with it. Turns out the food was really quite good. It was served in a plastic to-go container (I think they were surprised that I stayed and didn't take my order to go like everyone else, but I didn't want my hotel room to smell like an egg roll all night.) Can't say much about that egg roll or the friend rice, they were pretty average. However, the sesame chicken was really terrific. It was real chicken, not over cooked or over processed, and the sauce was very nice. The only complaint I really have is the fortune cookie. I am not a big fan of fortune cookies in general, but there's a lot of life hanging in the balance right now in different ways, so I decided to crack mine open. Y'all. Y'all. Y'ALL. I have never had such a disappointing cookie experience. This thing tasted like a severed toe and I could not get it out of my mouth and into the napkin fast enough. Great neighborhood Chinese spot. I come here when I'm at work because it's affordable and doesn't break my pocket. I'm definitely a huge fan of the sesame chicken, it sooooo good. The chicken is not heavily breaded which can be the case if you get it in the mall. I love mall Chinese food, but I would go with Bourbon or Black Pepper Chicken to save myself on the breading. But they have great sesame chicken and the broccoli is good. I enjoy the Beef Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice and crab Rangoon as well. The wings and fries are good as well. The others ladies in the office were ordering from here, so I just went with it. Ordered a lunch special with not so high expectations. The spring roll ONLY had cabbage in it. Usually there are at least carrots to add a bit of color or rice noodles to add some texture. This one was just plain. I had the General Zhao chicken. The whole carton was filled with food, so the portions are large. More than half was taken up by the onion fried rice. Fried rice is supposed to use day old rice. This rice wasn't even cooked yet and had the hard center when you bit into it. The chicken itself was mainly dark meat which I prefer. It reminded me of sweet and sour chicken with a tiny hint of heat without the bell peppers and pineapple. I work nearby and make suggestions to our guests for nearby restaurants and will give China Wok another try or two. Hopefully they'll come through! read more

This little chinese food spot has some pretty good food. It was very fresh and hot. My reason for taking away a star was the little boy they have taking the orders. HE IS RUDE! No one who runs a business should ever allow their child to deal with customers unless they are mature and well mannered. He was very quick with me and had an attitude when I asked questions. He was dangerously close to losing me as a customer which is not good for the family business. He also shoved my food through the window and just assumed I knew where the little pick-up window was. Please mom and dad do yourselves a favor and teach your son how to carry himself with customers. Kindness will take him a long way. read more

We got take out on a rainy Friday night. Food was hot and ready we we are so no problems there! Crab Rangoon was yummy! Comes with one sweet and sour sauce for dipping, which was plenty. Shrimp egg rolls were also delicious. We split a Double Delicacy Delight with large shrimp and generous portion of scallops. At first I didn't recognize the scallops until I discovered, what I thought were water chestnuts were sliced scallops. It also had plenty of fresh veggies. Wanted to pick up some pho from Noodle, but it was only 4:30 so I dropped in to Urban Pet Supply to pick up some doggie treats and kill some time. Marcia May, the owner, turned me on to China Wok up the street so I decided to give it a try because I think it's safe to say most of us have been craving a decent Chinese takeout place in the Tri-Cities area. Pros: - Convenient location on Main St in CP, obvi - Place looks clean enough, your basic non-descript, no-frills Chinese takeout joint with about a dozen tables - Friendly woman at the counter - Quick preparation (about 10 minutes or so) - Spring roll instead of egg roll (my preference, which may not be yours) and it's got some horseradish in it, giving it an interesting kick, plus it wasn't greasy - Egg Drop Soup - hard to mess up, nothing wrong with this version, plus the Small order is actually 2 cups - Curry Chicken - Super! Good amount of veggies (carrot, onion, snow peas, mushrooms, cabbage) that are al dente and not greasy - Nice, tender pieces of white meat chicken - The yellow curry has a decent amount of heat but could use a little salt - easy fix - Reasonable - I spent $19 including a 20% tip for the Egg Drop Soup, a small Shrimp Fried Rice and Curry Chicken combo and will easily get 3 meals out of it - Containers - they use those sturdy black plastic containers, which i imagine will change because they're ridiculously expensive compared to the traditional Chinese takeout paper containers Cons: - no wonton chips for my soup - i got those bland, pasty fried noodles instead - blech - Shrimp Fried Rice - the flavor was spot on, but there were no veggies in the rice - no peas, carrots and what not .. just fried rice with a little diced onion and about 10 small shrimp - bummy - No delivery, but i get it ... insurance be 'spensive Overall, I'd say I'd give it a strong 7.5 based on this one visit. Seriously? I can't believe there is a single negative review about China Wok! But I figured it out... Many of these photos are of another restaurant, NOT China Wok! So people are obviously confusing this restaurant for another. Many descriptions of China Wok don't even match a description of China Wok. That being said, I am from up North, and love the Chinese food there. Since living here, I have not found anything that comes close, except China Wok. . It is a surprise gem in College Park! Best Chinese food in Metro Atlanta. Huge portions. Delicious food. Good prices. Egg rolls are crispy and delicious. General Tsu's chicken, crispy and delicious. Chow Mein, awesome! Lo Mein, OMG! Wings, yum yum yum. I love this place. I have eaten at or bought carry-out from at least 80 - 90 Chinese restaurants all over Metro Atlanta, this is the best by far.
