Alright alright my son and I are from New York. atlanta hasn't offered any NYC type Chinese food but today I will say I found something really close to it. The food was fresh and flavorful. I ordered general tso chicken with fried rice and extra onions. They didn't have any bean sprouts but it is okay hopefully they add that to their rice in the future. I am ordering again today so crossing fingers we have a back to back good experience. Parking is in the back in case no parking on Main Street. I called them and let them know that I liked their food and to thank them for their business. Sometimes you have to let them know that they are doing a good job. Enjoy life everyone! read more

Great food and quick service! Family owned. Probably the best Chinese in College Park, East Point, and Hapeville. The dining room is a little lonely and quiet. Mostly to go biz. Def check it out. read more

Beyond shocked by my recent experience. It was such a great experience, the food taste amazing and it wasn't greasy at all. An employee told me about this restaurant so I definitely had to try it. I ordered the sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice. I do like that they're health score is extremely high. I will most definitely be back. Update: I went back today and tried another dish. I got my favorite beef and broccoli. Amazing. All the flavors were there and it didn't taste greasy as well. I tried their chicken dumplings which are delicious and my favorite the shrimp egg roll. I think I'm hooked already to this place it's super good. There's no dining in and social distancing is enforced. Hand sanitizer available fo every customer. read more

Food was not fresh, chicken was not really chicken. Shrimp was okay but only receive 3 to the order of szchuean shrimp.

As a southerner, turned New Yorker, back in the south, this place reminds me of the Chinese I used to get on blistering freezing nights in NYC. So glad I found this delicious gem. read more

I'm shocked. Slightly impressed. Called in an order of sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, large wonton soup, and crab rangoon. Paid like 22 and change. The smell of the restaurant is off putting , hope I don't find out something weird in the future ;/ The total wait time was 15 minutes. They take cash or card. Everything was pretty bomb except the sesame chicken. It tasted pre-made, not even reheated. But could also totally see it being bomb it was fresh. The fried rice was made with yellow rice with carrots, onions, peas, and shrimp (protein of choice). The wonton soup noodles were a little tough for my liking, but good flavor. The meat in the middle is pork. The crab rangoon were triangle shape and also had a good filling mix, also had green onions in them, maybe a hint of crab. read more

Hidden little Chinese restaurant next to the barber shop on Main St in College Park. I started coming here whenever I get my hair done at the salon next door. I've been trying to find a spot that has good egg flower soup....found it! Right consistency and made fresh to order each time. They also have pretty good lunch and dinner specials. Under $10 bucks! Also...Can't go writing with a shrimp egg roll or two. Delicious. Less than 10 min wait time for food. Parking: Street Parking. Can be difficult to find a spot, especially in the afternoons and/or weekends. read more

Good food cooked to order with nice customer service! Definitely a go-to spot in south Atlanta. No frills no fuss but definitely plentiful food that is great to go or dine in. My fav recommendation is the shrimp and broccoli with spicy garlic sauce. read more

Filthy !! The place wasn't even cleaned since the last tenant was there ! Baseboards are disgusting. Walls are dirty. It gets worse as you get closer to the kitchen. I tried it out alone, before inviting someone to join me there in the future. I will NEVER go back there. Staff wasn't interested in providing any customer service, they were more interested in playing video games. Kids are running the place, they are not interested in serving their customers. read more

I ordered the sesame chicken, House Lo Mein, and the chicken egg roll. The sesame chicken came with steamed rice. The Lo Mein had carrots, green onion, celery, shrimp, chicken, and charsiu (Chinese barbecued pork). I liked the Lo Mein. They also had canned and bottled beverages for $1-$1.50. The seating area was clean. I didn't eat in since it was close to closing time. Great customer service. read more

China Wok. Wanted to continue to support the small family owned business but the last 3 visits have been awful and when we called to share feedback you yelled and blamed the chicken. Good luck but you no longer have our business ... signed your previous loyal customers. Today was the worse ever! The community deserves better. read more

No complaints here. Food was nice and fresh. i ordered szechaun chkn and my boyfriend order sesame chkn. Both were delightful. If i ever crave chinese again, i'm going back. Forgot to take pictures. read more

The service is subpar and the food is okay, I've had better Chinese food for sure. Crab wontons very oniony

Children running the cash register. So anything you want they have to run to the back and asked. It's kinda pathetic.

I was recently staying in College Park, and decided to try some local flavor. I didn't have the best luck finding someplace to eat. Bone-tired and battle-weary from a day of taking the Bar exam, I just wanted someplace where I could plop into a booth and order something decent to get ready for the next day. The first two places I tried weren't open yet (Radial and Noodle) so China Wok it was! This place clearly specializes in takeout orders. I was the only customer who stayed to eat my meal there, and it was a little awkward. There was no music (which I appreciated, because I was studying) and the decor was incredibly basic. It looked sort of like the antiques shop from the beginning of "Gremlins." I just rolled with it. Turns out the food was really quite good. It was served in a plastic to-go container (I think they were surprised that I stayed and didn't take my order to go like everyone else, but I didn't want my hotel room to smell like an egg roll all night.) Can't say much about that egg roll or the friend rice, they were pretty average. However, the sesame chicken was really terrific. It was real chicken, not over cooked or over processed, and the sauce was very nice. The only complaint I really have is the fortune cookie. I am not a big fan of fortune cookies in general, but there's a lot of life hanging in the balance right now in different ways, so I decided to crack mine open. Y'all. Y'all. Y'ALL. I have never had such a disappointing cookie experience. This thing tasted like a severed toe and I could not get it out of my mouth and into the napkin fast enough. Otherwise China Wok was yummy, and if you're looking for an affordable and quick bite in the area, give it a go - just skip the cookie. read more

HORRIBLY CUSTOMER SERVICE!! DO NOT PATRONIZE CHINA WOK!!! Don't spend your hard earned money here to be treated like a pest/nuisance. The children who were in charged at the front desk were VERY DISRESPECTFUL. Besides the lack of customer service the environment was eerie and smelled moldy. If I could give CHINA WOK 5 NEGATIVE STARS, I would!! read more

The others ladies in the office were ordering from here, so I just went with it. Ordered a lunch special with not so high expectations. The spring roll ONLY had cabbage in it. Usually there are at least carrots to add a bit of color or rice noodles to add some texture. This one was just plain. I had the General Zhao chicken. The whole carton was filled with food, so the portions are large. More than half was taken up by the onion fried rice. Fried rice is supposed to use day old rice. This rice wasn't even cooked yet and had the hard center when you bit into it. The chicken itself was mainly dark meat which I prefer. It reminded me of sweet and sour chicken with a tiny hint of heat without the bell peppers and pineapple. I work nearby and make suggestions to our guests for nearby restaurants and will give China Wok another try or two. Hopefully they'll come through! read more

Tried to order takeout. Was greeted with someone less than friendly over the phone. I'm not sure if it was the language barrier or what but whatever I seemed to want to order they didn't have. Finally settled on a dish when she tells me the lunch menu is over. The menu I'm looking at says 5 pm. She says no its 4. Time was 415. Not having the selection, plus an attitude, plus denying their own lunch menu times = I won't be back. read more

Great neighborhood Chinese spot. I come here when I'm at work because it's affordable and doesn't break my pocket. I'm definitely a huge fan of the sesame chicken, it sooooo good. The chicken is not heavily breaded which can be the case if you get it in the mall. I love mall Chinese food, but I would go with Bourbon or Black Pepper Chicken to save myself on the breading. But they have great sesame chicken and the broccoli is good. I enjoy the Beef Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice and crab Rangoon as well. The wings and fries are good as well. Highly recommend, a place I frequent as well as my coworkers. read more

This little chinese food spot has some pretty good food. It was very fresh and hot. My reason for taking away a star was the little boy they have taking the orders. HE IS RUDE! No one who runs a business should ever allow their child to deal with customers unless they are mature and well mannered. He was very quick with me and had an attitude when I asked questions. He was dangerously close to losing me as a customer which is not good for the family business. He also shoved my food through the window and just assumed I knew where the little pick-up window was. Please mom and dad do yourselves a favor and teach your son how to carry himself with customers. Kindness will take him a long way. read more

Quaint and quick spot for take out. Usually grab this when I have to get back to the office. The environment isn't as appealing... it's a no frills and older building. After all, it's in downtown College Park! The smart mouth son (6th grade) taking your order is very opinionated and has a smart mouth, you'll even catch profanity. I'm all for family business but, he's a bit extreme. The 4 stars is rating the food, not the interaction with the adolescent. read more

If looking for good fresh food on a late weekday night, come here. The sizes and portions are huge and the quality is A1. Only drawback In my opinion is the price as they are more pricey than other "Chinese joints" but if price watching isn't your thing, then it's fruitful for the less frugal. read more

Satisfying, quick, easy. Nice location only minutes away from the hotels by the airport. Food was ready for pickup in 15 min. I ordered the beef with broccoli, and my boyfriend got the orange chicken. The beef was a little oily but tasty nonetheless. Worth the price and convenience! read more

Consistently one of the best Chinese takeout places in our neighborhood. Excellent food. Great service.

We got take out on a rainy Friday night. Food was hot and ready we we are so no problems there! Crab Rangoon was yummy! Comes with one sweet and sour sauce for dipping, which was plenty. Shrimp egg rolls were also delicious. We split a Double Delicacy Delight with large shrimp and generous portion of scallops. At first I didn't recognize the scallops until I discovered, what I thought were water chestnuts were sliced scallops. It also had plenty of fresh veggies. Definitely will be ordering again! read more

Terrible food, rude staff. Repeatedly got home with order all wrong! Don't waste your time at this dump! They enjoy charging you for items and then conveniently leaving them out of the order! Don't believe me, then give them a shot! Go ahead! read more

Consistently good week after week. Gave 4 stars previously...they deserve FIVE. (They also always get a 100 on their health score!)

The food is decent and affordable. Every time I visit, small children are working the register, very annoying to not deal with an adult.

A cut above most of the Chinese here in the city. My hubby ALWAYS orders Sesame Chicken and you can tell this is fresh cut breast not processed chicken fritters. Large shrimp in the Egg Foo Young and the lemon pepper wings have real lemon on them! I also had the tasty Mongolian beef. I hope to try more dishes the portions are generous. read more

In search of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Can't say I was a fan of the food. The chicken in the General Tso's chicken was extremely fatty and not very good quality. The portions are a good size and the prices are good. read more

Wanted to pick up some pho from Noodle, but it was only 4:30 so I dropped in to Urban Pet Supply to pick up some doggie treats and kill some time. Marcia May, the owner, turned me on to China Wok up the street so I decided to give it a try because I think it's safe to say most of us have been craving a decent Chinese takeout place in the Tri-Cities area. Pros: - Convenient location on Main St in CP, obvi - Place looks clean enough, your basic non-descript, no-frills Chinese takeout joint with about a dozen tables - Friendly woman at the counter - Quick preparation (about 10 minutes or so) - Spring roll instead of egg roll (my preference, which may not be yours) and it's got some horseradish in it, giving it an interesting kick, plus it wasn't greasy - Egg Drop Soup - hard to mess up, nothing wrong with this version, plus the Small order is actually 2 cups - Curry Chicken - Super! Good amount of veggies (carrot, onion, snow peas, mushrooms, cabbage) that are al dente and not greasy - Nice, tender pieces of white meat chicken - The yellow curry has a decent amount of heat but could use a little salt - easy fix - Reasonable - I spent $19 including a 20% tip for the Egg Drop Soup, a small Shrimp Fried Rice and Curry Chicken combo and will easily get 3 meals out of it - Containers - they use those sturdy black plastic containers, which i imagine will change because they're ridiculously expensive compared to the traditional Chinese takeout paper containers Cons: - no wonton chips for my soup - i got those bland, pasty fried noodles instead - blech - Shrimp Fried Rice - the flavor was spot on, but there were no veggies in the rice - no peas, carrots and what not .. just fried rice with a little diced onion and about 10 small shrimp - bummy - No delivery, but i get it ... insurance be 'spensive Overall, I'd say I'd give it a strong 7.5 based on this one visit. I'll be going back to try more because I wanna ask, "Yo, what's up with the veggie-less fried rice?" read more

Meh. The only thing proving there was anything inside the crab Rangoon was the red (crab) flecks.. Mongolian beef wasn't awful, but not great. Spring rolls were also lacking contents. The steamed rice was decent.. It'll satisfy the Chinese food desire though, since there isn't exactly a plethora of choices around here.. read more

Seriously? I can't believe there is a single negative review about China Wok! But I figured it out... Many of these photos are of another restaurant, NOT China Wok! So people are obviously confusing this restaurant for another. Many descriptions of China Wok don't even match a description of China Wok. That being said, I am from up North, and love the Chinese food there. Since living here, I have not found anything that comes close, except China Wok. . It is a surprise gem in College Park! Best Chinese food in Metro Atlanta. Huge portions. Delicious food. Good prices. Egg rolls are crispy and delicious. General Tsu's chicken, crispy and delicious. Chow Mein, awesome! Lo Mein, OMG! Wings, yum yum yum. I love this place. I have eaten at or bought carry-out from at least 80 - 90 Chinese restaurants all over Metro Atlanta, this is the best by far. The only negative is that sometimes the dining room is a little cold, but I usually carry out. read more
