After about 10 years working in the restaurant industry I was always there to make sure that the customers were happy. Unfortunately many of the times that meant replacing food that there was nothing wrong with. If a customer says the 5 egg rolls were over cooked then I would replace them. I also has doughnuts that just weren't like they normally are. I brought them back to be replaced and was told that they don't do this. My mouth stayed open is disbelief that they weren't going to replace the food. I didn't come back for money. I was told that 2 egg roll would be replaced. I had 5 and uneaten doughnuts. The counter girl shamed me and was so hateful about bringing them back that she pointed out dental issues I have to let heal naturally before finishing off work. She said "You can't eat them because you got no teeth". I WAS MORTIFIED AND IN TEARS NOW LEAVING with no egg rolls or doughnuts. I am surprised this place is still allowed to operate. I ordered door twice and got sick both times. The food tasted old and was not good. I avoided it for a year until friends wanted to order there. Great spot for to-go food during the pandemic. They run a great system for to-go food where you don't even go inside to retrieve your food. Everything is very reasonable, the food is always hot and they have lots of options. I have ordered twice thru their website and never once has there been any faults or delays. This place sent out neighborhood flyers as a new Chinese restaurant. Walking in the door, there was nothing new about its interior so perhaps it's just under new ownership. I ordered the small size of each item as I was eating myself. I was excited to see cold sesame noodles on the menu as it's one of my favorites. I also was anxious to try the boneless spareribs. Then pork with broccoli. I tasted the cold sesame noodles first and they were awful so didn't take another bite. They were greasy spicy noodles with no flavor. I've made much better ones in my own kitchen. The boneless spareribs were tasty and enjoyable. Lastly, the pork and broccoli also lacked of much flavor. I decided to get some food from China Taste because it was very close by and my wife and I wanted Chinese food for dinner. I have to say I was quite disappointed in the food. We ordered the beef and broccoli and the curry chicken. The meat was very very low quality and tasted like they use just the fatty part of the meat. Yes for the beef and chicken both. It did not taste real! The sauce on both these dishes had no taste. It was bland and very flavorless. I'm sorry I don't usually do such poor reviews but I was very dissatisfied with the quality of this restaurant. I was introudced to china taste about 3 weeks ago when my boyfriend went and got us some food from there. They have some of the best food in town, and they give you a lot of food for the low(cheap). I mean the plates are heavy they really give you enough to for dinner and enough to take for the lunch the next day, so i guess your asking why did i give them one star. Well it started two days ago when i went to go get some food from them I ordered the orange chicken combo platter with house fried rice. Now the food was really good until i found a small hair in it the hair was half black and half gray. I called them as soon as i found it and they told me they would replace it the next day for free. So The next day as promised they replaced the food, time luckily before i ate the food i inspected it and found the longest curliest people of hair I have ever seen in my food. I recently moved back to Florida from Los Angeles and in LA there are many great restaurants, including awesome Chinese. I unfortunately wasn't impressed. You can find lunch specials in LA everywhere for the same price and they actually seat you at a table that has silverware and the Chinese Zodiac placemat and you get soup or salad, egg roll and entree. And they even usually give you a fortune cookie AND you're allowed to have a glass of water in a real glass, even with lemon, for no charge. They were nice enough, but didn't like me asking too many questions. Finally, I get the food and it is LOADED in sodium. And had little to no flavor, except for salt. Best of luck to them, but they really need to step up the quality and service. Los Angeles rents are sky high compared to Florida. If they can give high quality food, service and value and survive. New owners have made some changes and you can see inside the restaurant now. It's much more inviting! Restaurant appears to be very clean inside and staff was extremely nice. We ordered the pu pu platter and the cashew nut chicken combination. The cashew nut chicken was great. Vegetables were extremely fresh, chicken was tasty. Everything on the pu pu platter was also very fresh and delicious. They cooked everything fresh for the order. The shrimp and wings were the stars of the platter in my opinion. Eggrolls were good as well. The only thing I didn't care for was the egg drop soup. The crackles they give you for the soup were different from what I have had before and I didn't care for them. The soup itself was a bit thick. I'll try a different kind next time but I'll definitely be a regular customer here. read more
