Spicy garlic wings and garlic wings
    Sarah T.

For years, China station spicy garlic wings used to be a staple at every party. There are new owners after Covid and order with them is still over the phone. The pick up was easy and the cashier was helpful and polite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looks basically the same except they turned the register and counter to face the door now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First time I had China station under new ownership, I was very disappointed that the wings recipe changed for worse. But this time, the wings were good and like 90% to how they good they used to be. The spicy garlic wings have a new redder look, still missing that intense garlic flavor and wasn't very spicy, but the crunch and the savory flavor are good. The regular garlic wings look like the original but it's not spicy at all and needs more garlic. The crunch on both of these flavors was awesome. Maybe these wings are as close to the previous owners' as they can get. We'll be coming back again

Had to give China station another try after the disastrous visit I had when they reopened a few years ago. Happy to say the garlic fried chicken is back to how it used to taste! Crispy, garlicky and not too oily. Very good! I usually only order the fried chicken but this time I decided to try the Singapore noodles. It was quite good, huge order, lots of ingredients and pretty tasty! I will be back!

China Station has reopened! After a pretty long stint of being closed, they've opened their doors to welcome new and returning customers. During this soft reopening, they're taking in feedback and evaluating how to best serve their customers. Come try! The long awaited visit to China Station has finally come but it is only after they've supposedly changed ownership. We have heard great things about their food, namely their infamous crispy chicken. And as a first time visitor, that's exactly what we got. There was definitely a sticker shock ($14 for 7 pieces) but we figured it was still worth a try. The pieces were medium sized, breaded lightly, and were freshly made to order. We placed an order for the non-spicy, garlic one as well as a separate one for the spicy, chili powder covered variation. The chicken definitely lived up to the hype. The texture was amazingly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chicken was fried throughly so that even the cartilage was soft enough to crunch through. The seasoning and flavoring was great - not too salty but the non-spicy was accentuated from the fried garlic that topped it and the spicy one had just enough chili powder to tickle your senses but not linger too long and overpower your palate. But at two bucks a piece, it's too steep for a frequent buy but perhaps a guilty pleasure every blue moon or so. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is located in a tiny, inconspicuous mall shared by other amazing mom and pop shops serving authentic ethnic cuisine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do have a dedicated parking lot that is rarely occupied and it's conveniently located near the highway so it's a nice place to come pick up your meal before heading home or to your next potluck event. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For those with children, it's also located near a public park so you could perhaps considering including some Chinese food into your busy schedule.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, my first impression of China Station was a good one and I look forward to coming back to try their other dishes. The prices may need to be evaluated to stay competitive with similar restaurants nearby. Otherwise as long as the food quality stays consistent and they continue upholding their great reputation while establishing new customers, China Station will do great and can serve their customers for years to come.

Garlic fried wings are back! One order is enough to feed 2 ppl. BBQ pork fried rice and Mongolian beef is legit.

I have been coming here for a long time to get the garlic chicken wing, I recently move and came back after a couple of years. I came to order the wings and noticed a young lady instead of the boy or old man. I ask the lady if this is under new ownership, she said yes, the lady's says the old man retired and nothing has change. So I gave it a try and I'm glad I did because the wings have the same taste and I will be coming back every time I'm back in time.

Notify the press! China Station is back! Still soft opening, but they know what's important... spicy fried chicken wings! From what I was told, it is not the same owners, but they are related, so recipe is the same. From what I ate today, it sure tastes the same! Please note that during soft opening, the menu is limited (no party trays yet) and it is cash only!

Today's soft opening. New owner! Reopened under new management. Friendly owners. Place looks the same just clean. New front counters. Tried out the infamous garlic wings to see if it's the same. I'm going to have to say not the same. The crunch factor is there but the taste is not. Also tried the spicy garlic wings. Just a hint of spice and the flavor is also lacking. In my opinion both wings need more flavor.

Never tried this place but heard they had the best fried chicken game in the bay! Let's just say it was the crunchiest chicken I have ever had in my life, the texture of the skin felt like a fried crab Rangoon. Overall it was a great experience of an soft opening, only disappointing thing was that the chicken was so crunchy I was unable to poke it through with my plastic fork

I would not come here if you can't handle spice because it is SPICY. I personally love numbing, tingly foods so I will always order with extra numbing oil. My favorite dishes are the grilled intestines, grilled spicy fish, and green pepper oil chicken. Sadly they removed the intestines from the menu. It's always packed and hot inside the restaurant. You'll hear and see people sneezing and blowing their noses from the heat.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

Pearl Bay has high ceilings and a gigantic screen, and it seems like a lot of wedding banquets take place here. They have a hot deal weekday special that's $488 for a table of 10-12, and it was a lot of food. I think they limit it to a few tables a night. Service was not bad - they refilled ice water multiple times, which was surprising for a Chinese restaurant. That said, it would have been nice if they had actually announced what dishes we were getting. The menu included: - Chicken soup - Stir fried beef with vegetables - Cold marinated chicken and geoduck - Fish maw with pea sprouts and shiitakes - Fried egg tofu - Steamed fish - Twin lobsters with vermicelli - Suckling pig with steamed buns - Fried rice The highlight was the fish roe fried rice: great texture and flavor. Other things were variable in flavor. For example, the lobster was good, but the vermicelli texture and flavor were lacking. The banquet menu we got was good value and was more than enough food. I am definitely interested in trying their weekend dim sum.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. The tasty dishes came at a good value, and the service was super friendly too!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

I immediately became concerned and looked it up, then smelled the rice and noticed a very sour, unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, my partner ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience even more concerning. The XLB was still good, and I did enjoy that. However, the spicy wontons were disappointing. The wonton wrappers seemed to have absorbed a lot of the oil from the spicy sauce, making them taste very starchy, heavy, and oily rather than flavorful.
