Mann this place is a hit or miss with their service. Tried ordering over the phone won ton soup. A robot sounding thing answered the phone and was very unclear to understand it. I was trying to order won ton soup, then they asked which meat chicken, pork, or beef. Which i didn't want the added extra meat but ask for veggies instead. Which the robot sounded so unclear that I hung up and sent my husband. He tried asking for what I ordered and they said they don't do that? Which I don't understand how hard is it to understand won ton soup, with added veggies instead of meat?! Something so simple, and yet too complicated to understand? I don't know what is going on with their phone system but that was a mess.

Actually a really good place! I was a little skeptical as it didn't even seem open at the time, & there wasn't very much action going in & out, but i'm so glad i decided to give them a try. The lady working the counter was extremely nice & very thankful for my tip as if she doesn't receive very much tips which makes me a little sad, as she was such a delight that i even went back the very next day for another plate of chow mein. We always have to go with the pork chow mein whenever we go someplace & let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! We also got a side of spring rolls which were decent, but one day we'll go back to try the other options they have. Make sure you order ahead if you don't wanna wait 10-15 minutes as everything is made freshly. Amazing hole in the wall find.

Chow mein just the way you want it yummy yum yum

Ordered takeout here since it's close to my house. Ordered over the phone and it was ready in 15 minutes. Quality and taste was decent! Price and portions were fair. Would order here again.

You order via your phone and for each item, you can expect to pay $2-7. Ex: cabbage is $2.50~ and beef is $7.50. Our party of four had our bowls averaging about $20 per person. The portions were good for the price and you get plenty of food. I don't know the weight, but definitely was filling and I typically get 1.8 pounds at other malatang shops which can cost more. They had all the typical options of beef, lamb, spam, sausage, bok choy, Napa, etc. They loaded mine with tons of cabbage which was nice. We got the chengdu broth which is in between a dry and soupy mix. They served our food in a shallow bowl/plate. They have do have soupy base options, such as beef bone broth. I actually enjoyed the in between mix and liked that it wasn't piping hot, but that's my preference. They had a decent sauce bar as well. Stocked with garlic, cilantro, soy, vinegar, oyster sauce, chilli powder, etc. It was very clean and spacious inside. There was only one server working but he was easy to flag down if we needed something. Overall, different but great experience. Will be back!

I barely ate any of it. On the bright side, the skewers were much better, and the service was good. I visited on a weekday after work and the restaurant was very empty. It's worth noting that their current menu is missing a lot of items shown in older Yelp photos, including the jelly dessert I was looking forward to. Overall, it didn't quite live up to the high reviews.

I would not come here if you can't handle spice because it is SPICY. I personally love numbing, tingly foods so I will always order with extra numbing oil. My favorite dishes are the grilled intestines, grilled spicy fish, and green pepper oil chicken. Sadly they removed the intestines from the menu. It's always packed and hot inside the restaurant. You'll hear and see people sneezing and blowing their noses from the heat.

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.
