I ordered the Classic Burger, and while there wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, it was pretty much what you'd expect from a classic burger. The flavors were fairly straightforward and, unfortunately, it didn't really stand out compared to some of the better burgers you can find around the area. The fries were also a little bland and weren't as crispy as I would have liked. That said, Jacks is still a decent place to hang out and have a casual meal or drinks. Our server was friendly and attentive, routinely coming by to check on us and make sure everything was going well. I probably wouldn't come specifically for the burger, but if you're looking for a relaxed spot to catch up with friends, coworkers, or family, Jacks is still worth considering.

For $19, the portion and overall value were excellent. One thing that impressed me before the entrée even arrived was the complimentary sourdough bread. It came out warm, with just the right amount of tang. The crust was thin and crisp rather than overly thick or hard, while the inside stayed soft. They also made several cuts in the loaf before serving it, which made it very easy to pull apart and share. It sounds like a small detail, but I've been to plenty of restaurants where the complimentary bread arrives cold, overly hard, or as one large loaf that is awkward to tear apart. This one was genuinely very good. The entrée itself was generously portioned. The four coconut shrimp were crispy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the coconut rice and vegetables as well. I also appreciated that the food was served on a hot plate, which helped everything stay warm during the meal. The one real disappointment was the mahi mahi.
