Spicy Chicken with Garlic Sauce
Erica M.

I'm giving this place four stars because other meals that I've had from them were actually very good however, the spicy garlic wings did not taste spicy or like garlic so I wasn't really impressed and would not order that again. But their food is pretty good. it's just this meal was a miss. The customer service is nice and the vibe is your typical Chinese restaurant

Always right on time, when I pick up our order. Food is hot and fresh. They can pack a container of food. When calling in my order, staff is friendly and they always repeat back to me what I ordered.

Decent food, just make sure you check your order before you leave. Got home tonight and I was short an item.

The food was pretty good. I moved from NYC and had been looking for a great Chinese restaurant and hit the jack pot with this place.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall - clean, neat with a few tables and booths (but you can also reserve for large groups). This place was on the list to try and I'm so glad we did! First, Alice, who is one of the owners, waited on us and could not have been more friendly or personable - she is a joy! The restaurant serves a number of different Asian cuisines - in addition to Chinese there are Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese offerings as well. We started with pan-fried gyoza which were SO good - fresh and flavorful. Hubs loves kimchi so had to try theirs - he inhaled the bowl and declared it amazing (I'm not a fan but it did smell yummy and garlicky!!). He enjoyed it so much he got an order to go as well. I tried my go-to Chinese favorite Kung Pao Chicken - it was quite good, well spiced, full of fresh veggies and lots of peanuts. Next time I'll probably get it with shrimp or tofu. Hubs had Pad Kee Mao with chicken (Thai hot!) and loved it. Although we were too full, the almond pudding on the menu did sound good - maybe next time!

Go for dimsum!! All the dimsum we tried was hot, fresh, and tasty. Very good variety! Good for…read moregroups as everyone can try different dimsum to find their favorites. Our favorites were the roast bbq pork buns (baked char siu bao), lotus leaf wrapped rice (lo mai gai), and the chewy fried dimsum (ham sui gok). And the radish cake with XO sauce! Good spice level. Service is friendly and prompt. The tasteful interior is nicely lit, not too bright. There is bar seating but most sit in one of the many booths, and there are bigger tables for large groups. I almost can't believe dimsum this tasty exists in Port Orange. We're excited to go back and try the roast duck!

We were the second table in that day and promptly served by the owner. We ordered a variety of our…read morefavorites such as steamed eggplant stuffed with shrimp, rib tips in black bean sauce, soup dumplings, seafood dumplings, siu mai, baked pork buns, and sesame balls. I got the beef brisket noodle soup and my father got the braised pork belly and taro. Stand out favorites were the baked pork buns and sesame balls, both perfectly cooked and filled. The siu mai were available as shrimp, pork, or beef - we got shrimp and yes it was nice shrimp but I prefer the shrimp/pork mixture. Seafood dumplings were good as was the eggplant. The black bean pork rib tips were a bit underseasoned and the soup dumplings had only a few drops of soup and too thick skins BUT if you just think of them as ginger pork dumplings they're great. Brisket noodles soup was good but nothing outstanding. The pork belly was thick cut and perfectly cooked tender and fatty and while we assumed it would be chunks of taro it turned out to be minced into the sauce. Mostly sweet without much other nuance but adding a bit of the chili paste we asked for made it better. Only complaint is that after our final dish came out we never saw our waiter again. A younger waiter started working the floor which only had 3 other tables occupied. We had to flag him down for take out boxes and the check after sitting there for 10 minutes despite him having visited once to refill water when we were already done. If I'm craving dim sum and had to be in the area I'd go again but I'll still be going to Orlando to really scratch that dim sum itch.

On a road dotted with chain quick serve restaurants this stretch of Dunlawton does have quite a few…read moreunexpected and delightful places and this is one of them! The restaurant is small and the decor is what I'd call cozy chaotic - lots of beautiful Thai shrines and figures, but then funky Christmas lights strung over whimsical photos. Don't let the "Reserved" tags on every table cause you concern, we and every party that came in after us were assured we could sit anywhere. We started with the Som Tam papaya salad at a medium and it had a perfect kick with the sour-sweet-funk punch of lime, fish sauce, rock sugar, probably some tamarind? It was fresh, cool and crunchy and a refreshing start to the meal. I had to try the Summer Breeze Rolls because I was actually first introduced to this restaurant by their stalls set up at various local farmers markets and the peanut sauce is out of this world, perfectly sweet and salty and a little curry spice kick as well. The rolls were wrapped a bit loose but I love that they grill the shrimp and also stuff mostly with lettuce instead of a ton of noodles so the rolls were more crisp than squish/starch. I got the panang curry medium and I think I could have gone a step up on heat but it was a nice mild burn that let the flavor of the sauce shine through. The veggies were crisp, the chicken tender, and I was happy with every bite. My father got the Lard Na 100 with crispy duck (a $10.50 upcharge but so worth it, so well cooked and crisp!) and loved it, just had no heat despite ordering it medium. I was impressed with the noodles - wide rice noodles but cooked firm so they didn't fall apart but had a delightful chew. The service was friendly, attentive, and super helpful with suggestions on heat level since we hadn't been before and didn't know if they pulled their punches (they don't, so start at a level below what you usually get elsewhere). We're now on a quest to eat our way through the menu!

Tonight we had the "winter pockets" (crab rangoon) and chicken pad Thai. The pockets were a lot smaller than they were a few months ago. Taste was good. Probably wouldn't order them again. Chicken pad Thai did not have peanuts or bean sprouts ?? This seemed odd to us. It was not the best pad Thai we have ever had. It wasn't the worst either. I ordered medium spicy and the food as not spicy at all. Overall, we were disappointed. Next time we will probably try a different restaurant.
