I'm definitely a fan of China Sails and I order here often. You're not likely to find better quality takeout Chinese food elsewhere. All the food here is good, but I tend to favor their main course dishes over their appetizers. A few favorites are Singapore noodle, Beef with snow peas, Shrimp with lobster sauce and their Chicken chow mein is outstanding. They offer small & large sizes on most dishes. Also cool is their wide open kitchen, so if you like, you can watch the expert chefs prepare your order. Highly recommended. read more

Good Covid safety. I ordered beef but when I got home it was chicken. When I called, they argued with me saying it was definitely beef because he himself took it out of the microwave. Pretty sad when chicken and beef look identical and even sadder that it is microwaved and not made fresh. Worst of all is getting yelled at over the phone. #where's the beef? read more

Ordered food from here for the first time tonight. We're new to the area and slowly trying out the different food joints in town. I have been craving Chinese food for MONTHS.. More specifically, beef teriyaki. I called in my order and the gentleman on the phone was so nice! We only ordered a few things because we didn't want to pay an exorbitant amount of money for food we didn't like. Everything came to about $44 and we got pork fried rice, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki (of course!)and boneless spare ribs - all larges. So far, the food is pretty tasty. Only complaint is the boneless ribs are so small, they're hard and the duck sauce tastes a little diluted. Other than that, I'm satisfied and plan to order from them again. read more

I'm for sure that I just ate CAT meat from here..I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken teriyaki. First of all I've never gotten so much chicken/ any kind of meat mixed in with an order of Chinese style rice. It was overloaded with this strange white colored stringy "chicken" and it tasted off. I thought maybe it was just really tender chicken but this was no consistency of chicken I've ever seen. The chicken teriyaki was the same consistency just in larger pieces. Okay...so usually I wait until a second time to write a review, but my taste buds said, "Please don't come here again, because the rice is really dry and the chicken wings had no flavor." My taste buds liked the chicken fingers though because they weren't overly breaded to the point where you're inner monologue asks, "where's the damn chicken?". I'm sorry, but I have had better Chinese food and I thought this place was great according to my co worker, but it's just a grease spoon. Not all Chinese joints are greasy...seriously take it from someone that grew up in Dorchester and had Chinese classmates who brought their healthy lunch to school. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. F Pu Pu platter "for 2" came with not even enough food for 1 person. We also ordered a dinner special that came with 4 chicken fingers. It arrived with 2 chicken wings. I called to speak to someone and the manager proceeded to YELL at me and tell me the menu on THEIR website isn't right, and it's my fault. Even though I repeated what came in it with the person that took the order on the phone. Also, the quality of the food is terrible. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. It seems since I reviewed China Sails the quality of food I've ordered has gotten progressively more sloppy.. The last time I ordered the General Tso's chicken I didn't even want to finish it and I haven't had it since.. It seems the consistency changes from day to day. But I did make a discovery. The spicy chicken with peanuts is AWESOME. Comes mixed with vegetables (red/green peppers, water chestnuts, etc.) and while it is not super spicy I couldn't get enough. Devoured it as fast as I could and later that night I craved it soo badly.. I am not a huge fan of peanuts but in this dish they were easily the best part, this is probably my new favorite item on the menu. read more

I know good Chinese food, having dined at numerous Chinese restaurants in Boston's Chinatown over the years. This is close to as good as it gets in the suburbs, which is quite good. I've eaten the food at China Sails quite a few times since they opened about 2 years ago. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the quality and value of the food. I ordered the usual beef with broccoli, chicken wings, boneless spareribs, crab rangoon and Yang Chow fried rice. Everything was fresh, tasty and hot. For that I'm giving them 4 stars. read more

This was nothing special. We have lived here for a couple years now and get food from here a couple times a month and the food is pretty decent. Not fantastic by any stretch of the imagination but better than others I've experienced. Just don't expect prompt service. We ordered recently and it took us an hour and a half to get our food. I ordered from China Sails because they deliver to the hotel I'm staying in and the front desk recommended them. I've ordered from them twice now and will not do it again. The first time I ordered beef and broccoli and egg drop soup. It was good but they forgot my rice and crunchy noodles. Still I figured that's not a big deal I'll just remind them the next time I order. Today I ordered egg drop soup and the seafood fantasia in garlic sauce and it was "throw it away gross", which really stinks because the food ended up costing me $21 with the delivery fee and tip. The lobster was mushy and fishy tasting and the sauce was sickeningly sweet. They forgot my crunchy noodles again and the soup was bland. They also didn't give me any soy sauce to try to doctor things up. Lastly, be aware that the only payment option they offer when delivering is cash. read more

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. I was traveling to see a friend and looked a up restaurant that would be close by. Their website offers the option to order online, which I did. It also offers a place for special instructions. I indicated the pickup time, 45 minutes from the time of placing the order. Food was stone cold and awful, one item was burnt. Containers were tiny, one was smaller than my pointer finger. Very disappointing. read more

No hot mustard. Duck sauce that tastes like pineapple juice. A pu pu platter that includes fried shrimp the size of a small envelope- way more batter then shrimp . Beef teriyaki but only 2 in a pu pu platter for 2? The smallest chicken wings ever though they did taste ok. Overall just ok but I'd definitely try somewhere else next time. read more

Pretty good take out Chinese. I had Kung pao and my son had General Tso's. Both were very good.

They have always been fine as long as I don't get delivery. Don't get delivery, just go pick it up. Every time I've gotten delivery my food was overcooked. Also they never give you enough crunchy noodles for chow mein-I legit got 1/4 cup of noodles for my small chow mein. Way overcooked fried shrimp, looked like my food just got thrown carelessly in a box. Again only a problem w delivery. Otherwise, go for it. There's nothing great or bad about them. Meh so-so.
