**Disclosure** All my experiences with China Rose have been through Doordash, so this review is all about the food and I am NOT able to speak to the service by the staff. I have ordered from China Rose, through Doordash, on about half a dozen occasions. The food has always been good and their portion sizes are on the bigger side. The General Tso sauce is different than I am used to and is a bit not he sweeter side than the spicier side. The sauce is also a bit thinner than others. The PuPu for 1 has a bounty of delectable foods including chicken fingers, shrimp, teriyaki steak, crab rangoon, chicken wing and boneless spare ribs. The boneless spare ribs are the the only part I am not a fan of because they tend to be overcooked and difficult to chew. They pack all their food very well and I have not received an order where the sauce or other food contents have spilled over into the bag.

all the food was very delicious and flavorful. everyone working there were also very friendly! the decor is also beautiful. one of the best buffets i've been to! cant wait to come back :)

The rangoons are pretty good- not too sweet!

I've been going to China Rose since I was a little girl- it used to have the nicest owners who kept the food hot, the restaurant clean and managed their staff well. It changed hands years ago and just has never been the same. The food is a hit or miss.. sometimes everything is fresh and hot but other times it's cold and clearly been left from lunch. They do have a decent variety and I think it's an okay price for how much they offer.. but I've definitely had better Chinese buffet food. I do have to say their cashew chicken is my favorite ever, and I only go maybe once a year, so if it's on the lineup that makes it all worth it!

Picked up my usual order of shrimp fried rice. The size shrunk, the shrimp shrunk (in number and size). Same price.

We all got combos. The General Tso's chicken was the nicest surprise - nice quality chicken breast meat. I enjoyed my Thai Fried rice, however the flavors were a bit dull, however, I still enjoyed it. The Vegetable Gyoza was nice and flavorful. The dumplings were plump and delicious. Inside, was dark and didn't look like the dining area was open. When we walked in, we were acknowledged our order was processed and we were on our way. It was a very transactional experience. it's nice there was a parking lot. I might visit again, if someone is unable to eat MSG.

I'm not paying $25 for old spinach that you're calling wilted. We saw a little farmers market thing going on in a little park on the walk over to Joshua's but it had ended by the time we realized our mistake and tried to walk back. Then we spot this little hole in the wall. It looked like it was once a gas station Asian food restaurant. The front of the building read: Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. We like all of those things so we headed over and took a chance. They no longer offer table service, but there was a sign that said you're welcome to eat your food inside, so we did. The menu was like any other Asian restaurant, all the staples were there, the lunch specials that include your eggroll and soup, choice of fried rice or white rice. So we ordered a couple lunch specials. And two are surprised it was insanely good. It wasn't like fine dining Asian food, it was more like comfort Asian food. My pad Thai was real pad Thai, it was sweet and it was sour, it was the spice level I asked for! It did not taste like spicy dried peanut butter rubbed all over rice noodles. There was a fantastic sauce to it. The miso soup I ordered was light and refreshing, yet comforting, like something your mom would make. The outside of this building looks like it's going to make you sick, ignore that part and go inside.

I ordered through DoorDash and the food came right on time and nice and hot. I ordered the General Tso Dinner Combination. The chicken was packed with flavor and delicious and is some of the best I've had around, I would definitely recommend this dish as it left me very satisfied! The rice and egg roll that came with it were decent. I also got the Boneless Spare Ribs which were delicious and the steamed dumplings which were decent. Not the best Chinese I've had but I will definitely be going back there since it's probably the best spot in the area if you don't want to drive all the way to Portland for Chinese food.

Has the food flavors tipped the scale towards the bland side? Maybe - one visit won't tell - but we're over spiced and seasoned anyway - blandness might just be what we need for a stint, give the tired taste buds a little vacay. My Pork Chop Suey did fit that a bit - but it saved San Francisco - way back when it was worth saving - now I wish no less than a deep dive into the dystopian abyss of Atlantis upon it's highways and byways. Inside is a fair attempt to recreate the Chinese experience thru appearance - there was effort taken to capture a little imagination of us Americans. The cusine reminded me a bit of my grandmother's Hungarian goulash -red & white onion & green and red bell peppers (it's available in Beef) all of which could have been cooked a bit longer to release their natural juices. In slight contrast with Lo Mein, Chinese foods more common dish, Chop Suey is made with rice or noodles - Americanized with the multitude of additional ingredients pea pods, chopped carrots, mushrooms & sprouts in a sweet thin glaze lurking below and giving a little float to the rice I poured in - a little pinchy blast of salt and lil red pepper flake with the cooking might just have been seasoning enough.

An excellent third stop on our impromptu culinary tour of Portland, and our party grew from two to four. I had the Shanghai cowboy cocktail, the bourbon hits, and you can definitely taste the mint more than the guava. All the foods in order of my preference, this was a tough list to rank because everything had great flavor and came out hot!! Lobster rangoon: yes, I would love to have another order of these! Great flavor, nice crisp wonton, just a wonderful rangoon experience! Pork pot stickers: mmm, love me some pot stickers, and these lived up to my expectations, great flavor and texture! Sa cha chicken skewers: so very tender, great flavor, would gladly eat again! Garlic meatball skewers: good flavor, nice dipping sauce, happy we added these to our selection. Shanghai soup dumplings: in general a fun food item, great flavor and they were highly recommended by the everyone who suggested we eat here. Mongolian beef: the beef had great flavor, the broccoli was cooked properly, not mushy, the onions were well caramelized; delicious! Har gow: good flavor, nice steamed dumplings, glad we tried them! Peking duck buns: my friend was in love with these, it was good, but not something I was immediately obsessed with. More than enough food for the three of us adults! The toddler had an order of steamed noodles. I definitely forgot a few photos, but the food was just so good!!
