Finally decided to try this place for a Saturday lunch. Place doesn't look like much but the food was tasty. Don't rely on the online menu or prices. They have an updated menu board by the counter up front. My guess is they do more takeout business than people dining in. Food came out in to go containers. Prices on the menu are outdated. Actual price about 20% higher but they still hand out the old menus. 5 stars for quantity, a Mandarin meal for 2 would easily serve four. 2 stars for taste. Hot and sour soup had egg and tofu strips. No mushrooms, no black fungus, no pork. BBQ pork was dried out. Fried rice was steamed rice with a little soy sauce added. Sweet and sour pork was mostly batter. Kung Pao chicken ordered as a 10 spice level was tasty but not spicy. It's still the best Chinese food in Waldport, and the only option. read more

My family and I took a trip along the coast. We got to our hotel late and we were really hungry . We went to a few places and people were rude . We found this Chinese food and say that they were take out only which was fine since we were going to take it back to the hotel / we ordered fried rice , orange chicken , shrimp chow mien , broccoli beef . Everything was so good . The woman at the counter and chef Michael were very friendly . We were happy that we ended up finding them . Our daughter wanted Chinese for her birthday dinner, and this place came recommended from people we trust, so we obviously gave it a try. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection; I only wish the curry was spicier. Our daughter was really happy with her birthday dinner, and our boys really liked it too. This was my first time there. Take out only (COVID). I'd give it 4.5 if I could. Food was quite excellent. I had the Szechuan Triple Delight - beef, chicken, shrimp. Superb flavor, everything - meat and veggies were super fresh. I normally don't care for mushrooms and am usually sketchy about shrimp. Both were excellent - very fresh. I was really very pleasantly surprised at the quality, quantity and flavor of the food. Down sides? $16.50 (higher than the menu) and no rice included. That's a bit high but with 3 proteins and the quality I'll forgive them and will definitely go back. Stopped in on a rainy afternoon on our way up the coast because we wanted a change from the standard beach fare. The owners were warm and welcoming and we decided to order everything they recommended. The food was terrific-- better than most similar Chinese food we have at home in Seattle. The portions were mind-blowingly large and we had leftovers for days! The "Michael's Chicken," fried rice, and green beans were over the top delicious. Worse Chinese ever!! They don't provide any combinations like fried rice, chow mein and sweet and sour chicken. Each item is priced separately. They call dishes with shrimp, chicken and beef a combo. The fried shrimp looked gorgeous. Huge and golden. Big mistake!, All doughy batter!! Is there a shrimp in there?? Uck!! So tried the orange chicken. Beautiful on the outside. Generous serving. All batter.... The fried rice was even bad. A scattering of peas and carrots which I hate with greasy rice. Supposed to be pork fried rice but the meat didn't look or taste like pork. I like it. We got in when we were visiting my grandma in Walport. The homey walnut shrimp was good, almost like Panda Express and the rice was good too. Ordering the food was a little hard, not a lot of explanation plus having to yell it in to the kitchen. You do get big portions of food though. This place has really gone downhill. They put only 2 shrimp on my combo meal and the meat was shriveled up and freezer burnt and was in a super thick dough that was mushy and raw. The rest of the combo batters were under cooked as well. The flavors were bland at best. They put so much rice on my plate that there was little room for anything else. The BBQ pork was paper thin, tough like leather and there was only 3 thin slices. So disappointed! read more

I wasn't a fan of the food, especially for the price point. A friend of our suggested the honey walnut shrimp, so we ordered that, general tso's, and spring rolls. It was pretty much $40. The spring rolls were only two tiny rolls that I took one bite of, and couldn't finish. The general tso's I can maybe see going back for, it was decent. The honey walnut shrimp was...meh! He took one bite, and about spit it out. I was able to eat it, it was edible, but wasn't the bomb. Like I said, wasn't $40 worth of food to me. We also felt awkward walking in, and they look like they might be serving tables, that is a big NO! They still want you to wear masks, and you basically have to call the order in. They should have a huge sign that states their rules if they want visitors from out of town to respect their rules. I didn't get any pics of our to go order. We may, or may not be back.
