We was looking for Chinese food and came across this location. The reviews were really good and thought we'd give it a try. Wow!!! Glad we did! Thank you fellow yelpers for these reviews!!! What a great place. Food tasted soooo good!!! We ordered: Moo Goo Gai Pan- delicious cuts of chicken sauteed in this creamy white sauce with mushrooms, snow peas, carrots, water chestnuts and came with fried rice. BIG portion to go- Crab Rangoons- Deliciousnessss!!! Fried just right!! Creamy hot center!! Perfect!! Egg Drop Soup- VERY hot!! Scalding hot! [Be careful] tasted bland to me but had ALOT of egg in it! Kang PO Chicken- Really good!! Very impressive! The taste was amazing, Spicy but not overpowering, love how the vegetables were attaining their own flavors. Has peanuts, cabbage, celery, carrots, bell peppers, chicken, kang Po sauce...really good!!! Would definetly recommend this to everyone that loves Chinese!! Caution: BIG portions!! We couldn't eat it all!!

As far as fast Chinese food, this place was good. Was greeted by two friendly ladies at the counter. I got one lunch combo and two combo platters. The amount of food seemed the same (even though it was $2 more for the combination platter) the only difference is that the lunch combo came with a drink and no egg roll and the combination platter came with an egg roll but no drink. It would have been cheaper to buy the lunch combo and add an egg roll on the side, but I thought the combination platter came with more food. I asked if they had a military discount and she didn't seem to know what I was talking about, but she did give me a free egg roll! And the egg rolls are huge! Food was ready about 10 minutes after I ordered. Took it back to my hotel and was very pleased with the taste. Kids enjoyed it as well!

The food was delicious. Brand new. The price is fair and customer service is nice, they have the best wings in town.

Great Chinese food, great service. We won't use any other Chinese restaurant in Daytona Beach Shores.

After freshening up at the hotel, I was starving. Since I wasn't familiar to the Ormond Beach area,…read moreI did a Yelp search for restaurants near me. I browsed through the list and decided to try China House. It was a little over a seven mile drive to the Chinese restaurant located within a plaza in Holly Hill. Upon entering, I greeted a female employee behind the counter and placed an order for a pint of house special lo mein and an egg roll. The food was prepared really quickly and it was well-cooked. The egg roll was fried nicely and filled with tender vegetables. I added some duck sauce for flavor. The lo mein was a mixture of tender pieces of chicken roast pork, and shrimp, tossed with soft noodles and crunchy vegetables. It may look like a small amount of food, but it was filling. I have leftovers for the next day.

I've been searching for a good Chinese takeout spot around the Daytona Beach / Ormond Beach area…read morefor a while now, and honestly it has been almost impossible to find somewhere that actually tastes good--until I found China House in Holly Hill. Their food is absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the spare rib with plain lo mein--it's seriously top-notch. The flavor, the texture, everything about it is just right. Their orange chicken is also really good and definitely worth trying. One thing I noticed right away is the quality of the food. At some Chinese takeout places, you can unfortunately taste when something just isn't fresh or when a kitchen might not be as clean as it should be. Here, everything tastes fresh, clean, and well prepared, which makes a huge difference. I've probably already been three or four times in the last month, so it's safe to say this has become my go-to spot when I'm craving Chinese takeout. They've definitely earned a repeat customer. They also offer lunch specials that include a drink, which is a great deal, so I recommend checking out their website/menu. The prices might be a little higher than some other takeout spots, but the quality makes it totally worth it. The only thing I wish is that I got fortune cookies more often--so next time I might have to remember to ask! If you're in the Holly Hill, Daytona Beach, or Ormond Beach area and craving good Chinese takeout, I highly recommend giving China House a try. You won't be disappointed.

Who knew I'd find comforting Vietnamese food across from the Speedway!…read more I had just flown into Daytona Beach and, after settling into my hotel room, I came to Mama's Kitchen for dinner. Right away, we were greeted by a young lady and gentleman, and were directed to sit at one of the tables. The restaurant was clean and spacious. They had a cute little Vietnamese cart in the middle of the restaurant to bring a bit of Vietnam into its design. They also had a wall with a beautiful drawing. We ordered a few things from their menu, starting off with egg rolls and Bahn Mi with sweet potato fries. Whatever dip it came with was delicious - and that's coming from someone who doesn't like the orange sweet potatoes! We also ordered entrees such as their Bo Kho and Bo Ne. Both stews were delicious. For drinks, we had a Tamarind drink and a Kumquat drink - both of which were refreshing. Overall, I really liked the food here. And the decor was simple and the service was attentive. The gentleman who brought our food out was also very careful with making sure there were no peanuts in any of our dishes. I'd love to come back here again on my next visit and try a new dish!

Ate at this restaurant during September 2026 on a weekend during the dinner hour. The business was…read morenot very busy at the time. My wife ordered the "Pho Mama" and I ordered the "Bo Ne". We did not order any beverages other than water. The service was very slow and I almost got up to remind our server that we had ordered food and were still waiting. I sampled my wife's pho and found it had a good flavor. The tendon and tripe were over cooked and a bit mushy. The other meats were cooked ok. The plate of condiments (bean sprouts, basil and peppers) were very skippy. At $18, I felt the Pho needed to be better. At $20, the Bo Ne lacked in a few areas and following this dining experience I probably wouldn't order it again. First off, I ordered this dish because it looked good and from the picture. On the menu it says "Vietnamese beef tenderloin" on the menu. The dish I was served looked much different than what I saw on the menu. The pickled carrots and radish must of had the day off on this night. Back to the tenderloin. In my years as a chef, I will tell you that there is only one piece of meat that is more tender than any other cut of meat from the cow and that is the tenderloin. What was served me was closer related to a tough cut or sirloin that tightened up so much when cooked, that every piece of meat I had to chew and chew to get past the grizzle. Once chewed, I needed to remove the meat from my mouth. See picture of the bread basket for the remnants of their so called beef tenderloin. The sauce that the meat was swimming in had a good taste. The liver pate was bland and was melting away into the sauce of the dish. One positive note about the experience is that the bread was superb! We may go back again sometime in the future but not any time soon.
