Usually my reviews are long so I can give my readers ample feedback, but Ichi Ni San is SOOOO good that it literally needs no explanation. The environment is cozy, the people are so sweet and the food is down right bangin'! I highly recommend coming here especially if you love sushi as much as I do. I got a double Scorpion roll with extra yum yum sauce and extra eel sauce. These extra sauces were completely free; the double roll was an extra charge, of course. For appetizers, I got steamed gyoza and edamame. Every time I come, I love taking photos outside because the location of the restaurant is so beautiful. Get off your couch and come enjoy this delicious food at Ichi Ni San!

Eggplant tempura

Is the second time I've eaten here. The food is fabulous. The Thai curry Ramen with dumplings was sensational. What a great broth as was the eggplant tempura.

Tempura Goyza

Food was great. Service was slow, but it was Daytona 500 weekend. Food authentic and very good. Had the tempura gyoza and I did not know that existed!! Very good and had the Bangkok fried rice and it was good but did not taste the sauce it was supposed to have. Kinda spooky bathroom with no soap.

Another delicious lunch. Of note for those with SHRIMP allergies the curry past used in the ramen has SHRIMP in it. So glad our server checked. My wife had a plan chicken broth based Ramen. Very healthy and tasty

Yummy Tempura Roll

The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated! You could smell the food the second you walk in and it smelled incredible! Our server was quiet but very quick and efficient, he definitely caught the vibe and rolled with it, we had the gentleman named Pai, he was phenomenal!!! The cooks were also very fast and the food was incredible! I just wish we had tried the drinks!!!!! Everything tastes amazing and looks incredible! This is going on the gram

Showing NO EGG LISTED ON THE CALIFORNIA ROLL !

Was served food with egg when told we have an egg allergy then forced us to pay for it. Completely horrible rude service and would never recommend !

This place is a REAL DELIGHT. I find this to have the best sushi in Daytona Beach and it isn't even close. Excellent flavor profile in the dishes we tried (be they Thai menu items or Japanese). Laid back climate inside and affable waitstaff. Can't wait to go back here again. (And I'll repeat - the sushi was incredible).

Pad Thai

So if I could give a 0 I would. Upon walking into the establishment, I noticed multiple tables that hadn't been cleared. There was one available that I wanted cleaned but we were escorted to the rear of the restaurant where I was met with a horrible smell of cat piss. Shortly after being seated, another couple was seated in the same section. They were asked of what type of beverage they would like, along with what entree they wanted. Mind you, I was seated before them. A few minutes passed and the couple received their drinks and food and I still hadn't been asked. I ordered the Pad Thai which had no flavor and tasted old. This was accompanied by a watered down tea. I'm a big foodie, so imagine how angry I was. This was a complete waste of time and money. While leaving, I received the look of disgust from all of the staff. I feel bad writing this because I'm all for supporting but customer service is important and it was clearly irrelevant today.

Side of Fried Rice (~$8) + Shrimp (~$5)
Aya E.

Ordered: Side of Fried Rice (~$8) + Shrimp (~$5) Ichi Signature Poke (~$21): salmon, tuna, white fish, with avocado, masago, cucumber, wakame salad, pineapple, pickled radish, poke sauce, and spicy mayo Aya's take: You know that point on the trip when you just want some good, comforting food before you leave? That was Ichi Ni San for us. We stopped by for a late dinner and were seated right away. Not to be dramatic but the Fried Rice was some of the best I've ever had. It's exactly what all fried rices should strive to be like. The rice and egg were savory, the vegetables added variety and freshness, and the shrimp was fresh and added the protein this dish needed. The Ichi Signature Poke was presented beautifully! All 3 fish options were very fresh and I liked the balance of all the vegetables along with the depth of the sauces. Overall, we left feeling super satisfied and even had leftovers!

Tonkotsu ramen

Service was very good waitress was friendly. I had the tonkotsu ramen and spicy eggplant appetizer the restaurant inside is on the small side but comfortable. They also have outdoor seating. Spicy eggplant was very good. I've had tonkotsu with a little more flavor, but still was very good.

Let's start off with the FOOD, it was delicious. I'll be honest I almost cried at how good the food was here. We started by ordering the Spicy Garlic Duo Dimsum honestly I've never had before but it was so good, the sauce pair with the dimsum sauce on another level of good. We loved the sauce so much we decided to keep the plate and dip our sushi in it. We ordered the pink panther and the spider. I usually do not like fried rolls because I feel they could be overwhelming but the spider roll was so delicious... honestly both rolls were amazing I would say hands down this spot is the best sushi spot we have on this side. The Aroma curry was a standout, bursting with flavor, what I appreciated the most was that I can pick the level of spiciness, ranging from 1-5 I picked level 3. the service was excellent, our server was really attentive and the food came out fast. I would consider this place to be good for a date as is intimate and has a cute beach themed. TIP: most of the seating I saw were for 2-6 people I would call or reserve ahead of time before going in big groups.

Seafood udon (not great, and no noodles?)
Helen K.

My kids and I went to this place for dinner. We got a poke bowl, the avocado eel roll, seafood udon, and Thai seafood soup. I think the poke bowl was the best! The roll was decent. The udon didn't have noodles, and my daughter, who usually gets seafood udon when we go places, actually couldn't eat it because she said it had a bad taste. We ordered another poke bowl for her to eat instead. I got the soup, and it was the perfect amount of seafood, spice, and veggies. I loved my dish! We were lucky to sit at the front table, and with all the natural light and plants, we just felt so happy to dine here. Server was also kind and responsive.

Different from other places where you order the various ingredients and cook it yourself. They have a variety of different soups & ingredients such as veggie, kimchi, tomyum. I quite like this method since you don't have to think about the various ingredients to order. The serving size is good for ~$18 a pot, and comes with a good selection of ingredients. You can add more ingredients for additional cost, to further customize it. The presentation is beautiful- the hotpot is served on this beautiful "platter" with room for a heated flame to keep your pot warm as you eat. Individual hot pots are also more hygienic! I tried the healthy veggie pot- delicious and tasty soup! I enjoyed my meal. My parents enjoyed the kimchi hot pot and beef noodle soup as well. There is also a good selection of appetizers. Service was excellent, attentive and quick. The restaurant was fairly empty/ quiet a little after usual lunch time (~2pm) on a Sunday. A great addition to the Daytona beach area! Worth checking out and I will be returning the next time I'm in the area.

The flavor wasn't that great at all. And sure enough, there were pools of oil in the bottom of my plate. We also had shrimp mandu, but the shrimp were chewy and overcooked. Everything was "one note" with regard to taste and flavor. As for atmosphere, I think there were about 6 tvs all playing the same K-Pop video. There are no shortage of customers and as I've mentioned, service is friendly. I just don't think I'd return.

Com thit suong heo was on the drier side when it's suppose to be juicy from the oil it's cooked in. The fried rice with the Cornish hen wasn't juicy or moist. The restaurant is located in a strip mall - clean, neat with a few tables and booths (but you can also reserve for large groups). This place was on the list to try and I'm so glad we did! First, Alice, who is one of the owners, waited on us and could not have been more friendly or personable - she is a joy! The restaurant serves a number of different Asian cuisines - in addition to Chinese there are Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese offerings as well. We started with pan-fried gyoza which were SO good - fresh and flavorful. Hubs loves kimchi so had to try theirs - he inhaled the bowl and declared it amazing (I'm not a fan but it did smell yummy and garlicky!!). He enjoyed it so much he got an order to go as well. I tried my go-to Chinese favorite Kung Pao Chicken - it was quite good, well spiced, full of fresh veggies and lots of peanuts. Next time I'll probably get it with shrimp or tofu. Hubs had Pad Kee Mao with chicken (Thai hot!) and loved it. Although we were too full, the almond pudding on the menu did sound good - maybe next time!
