Sauce was very overwhelming. It was like eating linguini. Pho was salty and watered down. Bone broth wasn't rich. Com thit suong heo was on the drier side when it's suppose to be juicy from the oil it's cooked in. The fried rice with the Cornish hen wasn't juicy or moist. Came here because they have egg noodles and we do prefer egg noodles with our pho. Mine actually had a combination of rice and egg noodles with chicken, pork, shrimp, and bok choy. This pho really was missing flavor. It tasted like hot water. I never doctor my pho up, and this one I added a bunch of hoisin sauce and sprouts and basil lemon and lime and still couldn't find flavor in it. I gave my chicken to my dog bc he loves chicken and at least there was pork and shrimp for me but the bowl flavor yea definitely lacking. I didn't eat at Pho Saigon, I had food delivered. I ordered the Bun Ga and it was very good and will definitely order it again. The portion was huge and the vegetables were fresh. I've driven past Pho Saigon countless times and always thought about stopping, yet never did. I like having a few favorites available when I don't feel like cooking or going out, and Pho Saigon is now on my list which includes Masala Indian and Genovese's for pizza. The only pho restaurant in Daytona which means it could either be good or bad. Coming from California, it's hard to not compare knowing that there is not a large Vietnamese population and they are serving mainly to Americans and tourists. I was disappointed. The Pho Saigon traditional lacked flavor in the beef broth. I'm also not a fan of wide pho noodles because it's too starchy. The meats were tough. The Crispy egg noodle dish was a combination of shrimp, chicken, beef, and veggies. The crispy egg noodle tasted old and stale. It's been packaged too long. Although the seasoning wasn't bad. The Vietnamese iced coffee was a major disappointment because it was made to be a milk tea not the authentic drip drop phin coffee. It came with boba and had half and half not condense milk. I hope people don't think this is authentic Vietnamese coffee after trying it here. I understand they are serving a different clientele so I can't really complain when it's the only pho restaurant in Daytona. Next time, drive another 30 mins to Deland. read more

Not our first visit, but not as good as the last. They raised their prices which is understandable in this new era however the portions were not large. They do not have vegan options besides Pho, I was disappointed since many reviews mentioned vegan options. The server told me all of the sauces are prepared in advance with oyster sauce or fish. Pho was with a vegetable broth but tasted more like chicken broth and I couldn't bear to eat it. We decided to take a gamble and give this place a shot while staying in Daytona. The food is just ok, and actually pretty pricey compared to most Vietnamese places. We ordered shrimp spring rolls to start. They were freshly made because the wrappers were soft, but the veggies (cucumbers and carrots) inside were ice cold. Every time I took a bite, juice from the cucumber leaked out the bottom. This tells me that the cucumbers were not fresh and must have been stored in a refrigerator for quite some time, hence why they were ice cold. I pulled some of the cucumbers out and they were wet and flimsy like a noodle. For $5.75 for 2 spring rolls, definitely not worth it. After eating the spring rolls, I became pretty concerned because I ordered the pork vermicelli, which usually also comes with cucumbers. Once it arrived, you could visibly see how wet and soft the cucumbers and carrots were. I tasted one of the carrots and it had a slightly sour taste, so I ended up pulling them all out because I didn't want to take any chances. In doing so, I was basically left with just pork and noodles, and the egg roll that I added. The fish sauce that is served with it was on the sweet side and almost seems like they added sweet chili sauce to it. All in all, it wasn't terrible, but for dish that costs $12.95 plus and extra $2.00 to add one tiny egg roll (smaller and thinner than usual), I wouldn't recommend ordering. My husband ordered the pho Saigon. It was little surprising how a broth that was so dark could also be so bland. Also, the broth was very cloudy, where pho broth is usually supposed be nice and clear and clean. It almost seems as though the broth was never skimmed as it was cooking. They also use the medium sized rice noodles, not the thin ones that are usually served in pho, and the onions were sliced much thicker than usual. All in all, the price, amount of food, and quality is not on par with any other Vietnamese restaurant that I have been to, and I've been to a lot. It may be ok for it's location, but if coming from any other city that has a decent Asian food presence, I'd probably skip it. read more

We arrived about 30mins before they closed and when they say they close at 9pm, they are out the door by 9pm. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and we have had great experiences! We usually get the pho traditional and pho tofu vegetable with beef broth. The portions are big and well worth for the price. The broth is also very tasty, but a bit greasy as some of the oil will collect on the top and float around. During our last visit we tried the Coconut Rock Shrimp appetizer which was amazing!! We also tried their thai tea for the first time and it was also amazing. We usually finish off with the fried cheesecake bites which are super tasty but keep in mind they will take longer to be prepared so we recommend ordering them ahead of time. This was an odd experience; shop was completely empty and playing eerie piano music. Our waitress was also rushing our orders, cutting us off as we spoke despite being the only customers there lol. As we waited on our food, my party was increasingly unnerved by the silence and emptiness of the restaurant (literally the ONLY SOULS there) but decided to wait it out.
