The quantity of food is there but what I ordered had absolutely no taste and I'm pretty sure the chicken I got was undercooked as it was still pink inside. Chicken and egg rolls were tasteless but the crab rangoon was decent. read more

Not a very good experience. Strangest fried dumplings I've ever seen, wrapped in what seemed to be biscuit dough instead of dumpling wrappers . Moo Shu pork could've been shortened to just Moo Shu given the lack of pork present. Egg rolls were average. Sweet & sour soup did have a good bite. Our friends ordered some dinner combos but hardly raved about them. Ambience: nothing special, a few cheap chairs and tables. Floor did not seem like it had been attended to in a while. Can't really comment on service. Food was ready on time. Rushed in to get it , paid and left. Would not go back. I have been to one other Chinese restaurant in the Charleston area, which was much better. read more

TLDR: Tried to steal my brothers coat. Today my brother left his expensive new coat by accident on the back of the dining chair. We had noticed only 5 minutes after we left, and as we were driving back to retrieve it we called, and the woman on the phone kept insisting (quite quickly, without sounding like anyone actually **looked**) that there was NO jacket left there. My mother insisted that she did leave it and have a description of it, and assured that we were on our way back now. The woman on the phone continued to insist that it wasn't here and we had the wrong location, and actually began yelling over her. She then rudely ended the call. When we arrived back at the restaurant, the jacket was indeed gone, but my mom noticed it BEHIND THE FRONT DESK... She pointed it out and the staff laughed it off and handed it over to my mom. Surely they didn't just try to steal the coat!? It was an expensive new Christmas gift from my mom. The food is usually good though with fast service, aside from the rudeness of the woman at the front. Although I did end up once getting severe poisoning that landed me in the hospital a few months ago, and that day I only ate food from the buffet. After 6 hours of being unable to keep anything down some Zofran from the hospital fixed me up. read more

Food was great and good prices! I often judge Chinese restaurants by their Hot and Sour Soup...and theirs was excellent! Just the right thickness, and lots of mushrooms, tofu, and pork. I would have liked it just a tad spicier but it was still super tasty. Egg rolls were generous in size, filled with goodness, and nice and crispy. The Human Shrimp was so good and my friend really loved the Egg Foo Young. We were both stuffed but had plenty of leftovers. China One will now be my go to for Chinese carryout. read more

We got takeout on Friday night for a night off of cooking. The lady who took our order was friendly and precise. The restaurant is small and only has a few tables but was clean and inviting. Our order was correct and nothing was missing. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. You also get plenty of food with their dinner portions. We had enough for leftovers the next day! Great experience! read more

Food is usually good. However, the service often reaches a level of rudeness with the female at the front. Timing: they are definitely not happy to be working after 9 on any day of the week. When I was attempting to place order at 9:30 on Friday, the response: "what time you come, we are about ready to close". I order there a few times per month and have received less than friendly approach at the counter. For me, service failure and especially rudeness are inexcusable, and I will not be back. read more

My work orders from here at least twice a month and every-time it's absolutely perfect. The price is just right, the people who work there are super friendly and the food is always good. I can't recommend this place enough if you want good Chinese food in Charleston. read more

I have been going to this buffet for quite some time. They would seat us, take our drink order then basically leave us alone. Food is average, nothing special and unimaginative. But it was ok. Until last time. That time they were quite rude. So much so that I will never go back. Too many other places to eat and other Chinese restaurants to put up with people who only want my money. read more

China One offers the usual New York style takeout Chinese food that was gor many of us our introduction to Chinese food. This particular restaurant does not take many chances with their menu, but they offer the usual items and they do them pretty good. I had the pork lo mein and it was a good representation of this classic takeout Chinese restaurant entree. All in all, if you are looking for the classic Chinese takeout type restaurant, I would recommend a visit here. read more

Chicken lo mien and hot and sour soup was just what the doctor ordered. Would have enjoyed a few more vegetables.

Food was just ok. Sesame chicken and orange chicken were both 2 stars. Seemed just warmed up, not fresh. Chicken was rubbery . Chicken fried rice was ok. Egg rolls also 2 stars. read more

Amazing chinese food! I'm from NYC, living in Charleston for a few months. and cheap takeout chinese is my life blood. Admittedly, I was a little wary about how to get my chinese fix outside of Ny but China One is everything i could want and more. As good if not BETTER than all my favorite takeout spots in manhattan and brooklyn! The crab rangoon is perfect, general tsos is delicious, fried chicken is bomb, dumpling sauce is on point, and most importantly... their portions are huge. Highly recommend! Anyways, thanks China One for making this guy feel a little less homesick!! :) yum read more

Quick service and huge portions. Everything was good. We ordered the fried dumplings, which were large and stuffed with filling; pineapple chicken that was sweet with a nice breading. The crispy chicken thin sliced chicken that tasted like was like a sweet version of Generals Taos with squash, carrots and broccoli. Chicken fried rice had onions and peas, and although it didn't have a lot of chicken it was still tasty. The rangoons were the sweet cream cheese type and generously filled. We ordered online and the prices were cheap compared to several other area establishments. read more

The food was take out. Hot and fresh. Tasty. Begetable dish options should have more variety, broccoli in wverybfish. Bery rrasonably priced. read more

The food was very bland. There wasn't very much protein in the lo mein or in the combination fried rice.

I got the beef with broccoli combo and a small wonton soup. I was not impressed at all. The soup had too much soy sauce in it and it ruined the flavor. The fried rice had very little flavor and it was slightly undercooked. The beef with broccoli was ok nothing amazing. read more

Amazing food for the price and the lady at the front is very kind. The inside is also extremely clean Highly recommend!

Fast and friendly service. Ordered pick up and they told me 10 minutes. Surely enough my egg drop soup, crab rangoons, and pork fried rice were fresh and ready! I tell people about this place all the time! I love that you can place your order, pay online and it's there at your door. And the super clean open kitchen! This is the most similar to my favorite Chinese Takeout before I moved to Charleston. read more

China One is exactly the place you hope it would be. Great service and quick turn around time on takeout.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Charleston. It seems whenever you move to a new city, it seems tradition to go on the path of discovering which Chinese restaurant will become your go-to place for well priced delicious food. China One hits all the marks. Their prices are affordable and they only have a $10 minimum for delivery. As for food, their lo mein, fried rice, and egg rolls are amazing. My favorite of all, their general tsos chicken is the best in the area. Large servings, fast delivery, delicious food, and prices that won't make you feel guilty about ordering takeout. What more could you want. A+ Try China One out if you haven't already. You won't regret it. read more

Very good and fast service. I always grab takeout from China One when I am in Charleston.

I'm confused.... are they not open on Sunday? Tried to order online.... can't. Tried to call in... no answer. Multiple tries. Never had this problem with them before. Can't give them my money if they won't let me order food! I've now been trying to order for over an hour. No one picks up. Very disappointed. read more

I moved to Charleston pretty recently and was overjoyed at the number of Asian restaurants the city has (one of the few things about Charleston that overjoyed me). China One has good food, and they make it my way. Don't like those annoying miniature ears of corn in your kung pao? They'll leave them out. Want extra water chestnuts in your garlic chicken? Not a problem. Your order is done quickly, so it's a cinch to walk in, decided what you want then & there, and take your order home. On top of it all, the young woman who usually works the counter greets everyone with a smile. China One is China fun. read more

My fave Chinese place in KC, never let me down. Not extremely fancy but just what you would expect and need it to be.

Eat here every week. Best Chinese food in Charleston!!! You can order online and it is always ready before i can get there, very quick. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. If you like Chinese and have not tried China one yet, give them a shot read more

Listen y'all...I write to you from behind my microwave-reheated plate of one week old take-out from China One and let me tell you that it is STILL better than any other take-out on the East Coast. (And I've lived everywhere from Burlington, VT to Greensboro, NC). 10/10 would recommend for an experience that will stay with you for eternity. I will dream of the massive quantities of food I was able to purchase for under $25 for the rest of my days. I don't know the names of the lovely folks behind the counter, but I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart and the totality of my soul. Never have I been welcomed with such warmth and grace. They know what they're doing, kids, and they know what they have. Show 'em your support. They deserve it. YOU deserve it. read more
