I can't say to much about the buffet, but any time we have ordered for pickup it has been fresh,and still hot when given to us at pick up. Staff have always been polite and friendly. Great Chinese restaurant! As far as the ambiance it is as expected. The only reason I gave just 4 stars is because I haven't experienced the buffet. And you can never find any coupons to save money, I would say most of us are living from paycheck to paycheck and coupons can be a game changer. read more

Took the family and my mother in law in for lunch. We were the only ones there. We've had positive experiences here before however this particular day it was like everything had been cooked up and setting. Everyone was nice and service was quick. Quality wasn't so great. read more

Tonight was our second trip to Moon Buffet and it was just as good as when we went on Christmas Day. They did have more choices tonight. I do wish they had the very thin rice noodles with veggies called Chow Mei Fun. And something like Moo Goo Gai Pan would be a nice addition to the buffet. They do seem to cook with the low sodium Soy Sauce wish is better for people like me with high blood pressure. While the Crab Rangoons don't seem to have crab in them they are sweet and we love them. Food: Above average quality food for a Chinese buffet. They do not have a huge selection, but considering how small the kitchen looks, and the staff size, I would rather they maintain the decent quality of what they have, than try to expand with more mediocre choices. I recommend the lo mein, soups, chicken kabob, and General Tso's. The crab rangoon was the only thing that I thought was poorly done. Service: Waitress was friendly and quickly got our drinks, but it's a bit awkward for first-timers because there was no host/hostess, no posted buffet price, and no mention that you are just supposed to grab a plate & go. Price: Very affordable Atmosphere: They have made significant improvements to the dining area, with better lighting, and a well-maintained, clean space. Plenty of seating, especially for being in a small town. My only complaint would be the loud country music playing, which was annoying and out-of-place. For a town the size of Eleanor, this is a good place that with continued care & a few improvements, could be a big hit with potential longevity. read more

I ate dinner here a few days ago. I was really wanting to like this place as I love Japanese food and finding a Japanese restaurant in Buffalo was an unexpected delight. Unfortunately the restaurant was a major disappointment in almost every way. Despite the fact there were only 4-5 other people there at the time it still took almost 45 min to get my food. I ordered the sashimi for 15 bucks. The air got to some of it enough to discolor the edges and dry it out. The wasabi was also dried out and the ginger was sparse. All of this combined with the fact it was poorly plated made the food substandard in presentation and quality. The menu said the entrees came with rice and soup or salad. Right above the entrees on the menu was the soup and salad section. Because of the menu layout I took that to mean I could choose any of them to come with my entree. When I got the bill I noticed they had charged me an additional 4 dollars for the seaweed salad. I thought that the waitress had made an honest mistake and I wasn't too upset about it but when i pointed it out she asked the sushi chef about it and he told me it did not come with the meal. He said that my meal came with a house salad. I pointed out that I was not served a house salad nor did the menu specify in any way. He told me no Japanese restaurant would include a seaweed salad at that price. At this point another patron offered to pay for my salad. I told him i wasn't concerned about the money it was the principle. I ended up paying for the salad but I'll never return. read more

We love Moon Buffet. It's so clean I. Their new restaurant. They have excellent service (always) and it's a fun family place!

Let me begin by saying that we don't like any of the other Asian buffet restaurants in the area. However, this place with its smaller selection has a pretty good quality of food and good service. I've never ordered off of the menu, but they have a huge menu. read more

Had been to JP's years ago and thought I would give new Moon Buffet location a try. Completed ordering online; nice option. Would be nice to be able to pay online. Ordered pint of wonton soup, some crab Rangoons and General Tso chicken. Hubby picked up order. Crab Rangoons were missing. Wonton soup was standard, three wontons in the pint. Fried rice was standard; General Tso chicken was cooked well and had good flavor. I may try again, but will remember to check (or have hubby) check order for completeness. read more
