We did some take out from this place and was amazed. We paid like $26 and was very satisfied. It came fresh out of the kitchen. Shrimp fried rice has decent amount of shrimp and the honey wings dinner, oh my. Can you see how much wings is that? General tso is more on the sweet side but is very good. The chicken teriyaki on the stick is also great, tender and seasoned nicely. This is not bad for what we paid for. We tried this place like 4 times, first 2 times are not as good but we keep on giving it a chance and today was just perfect. They have the tendency to be "hit or miss" that is why I removed a star.

Boba! We got (from left to right ) matcha green tea, thai tea, honey dew with tapioca, and brown sugar milk tea with coffee jelly !

They have boba! I dont have to drive to north Charleston or down town Charleston for boba now. It was amazing !! Definitely satisfy my cravings and then some. Will be back for boba for sure. My addiction besides coffee! Their general tso was super crispy ! Their wings was divine. I made an online order for pick up, I came before the time it said it would be ready, and they were about done with my order. They were super fast and my box smelled delicious! Our food was amazing. Definitely will be back. This was my 3rd time ordering from them and im super stoked they have boba !

Shrimp fried rice and 4 chicken wing went up to $8.50! Not worth it for hair and feathers!

I was wondering what took them so long to open back to the public, now I see. Food is not as good as it be on certain days, but I'm still stuck on why so much feathers is on they chicken, not to mention the hair! They went up .50 cents for the kids rude attitude! The whole family seem to be so angry with one another til the customer service is even more awful! The kids that been sitting to the table since they where toddlers are now working taking orders. Rude and very no manners still, I called to let them mother know that her daughter is very rude; she say yea, yea I know what you wanna order? Excuse me, nevermind and this is the last time I will patronize they business! Good luck but the food lately is kinda up and down but we can't keep overlooking the chicken not being cleaned! Another reason you'll never see them eating what they serve!

a half eaten plate of food

I usually love China kitchen but tonight just changed my mind about them. First, they got my order wrong. Then after picking all of the vegetables that I requested to not include, as I'm eating I found a dead fly in my food.

Not the best Chinese I've had but not the worst either. The General Tso's Chicken sauce is not even remotely spicy (as it should be) and it's very sweet. The sautéed broccoli was perfectly cooked, tender but not soggy however the sauce it's served in is overly sweet. Pork fried rice is perfect but the white rice was very sticky and clumped.

Old Li's is an outstanding authentic Asian restaurant. I loved it. No reservations required and plenty of tables. It's a very clean well ordered establishment. The round table we sat had had a "lazy Susan" to facilitate the sharing of dishes. We ordered based on recommendations, personal taste & heat levels. The dishes were absolutely delicious. So good. I think the Peking Duck was the star of the show. If you are seeking Asian authenticity & phenomenal family service.. Old Li's in N. Charleston near Tanger outlet is your place to go. I called in a takeout order on a Friday evening and the food was ready quickly and the staff was friendly. There is no dine in service, which was not a problem. The food was... not good. The egg drop soup was a good color, nice and dark yellow, but quite runny and just pretty bland. The pork egg foo young was fine, had lots of pork in it, but again, was bland. The sauce that usually comes with egg foo young should be a darker, glossy brown, but the sauce that came with this was a thick, colorless, flavorless breakfast looking gravy that was awful. The Cantonese boneless chicken was terrible as well, and for some reason was drowning in the bland, colorless gravy as well. The Pagoda fried rice hardly had any meat in it, and I understood this to be their house fried rice, which should have had several types of meat included. Even the egg rolls were bland. I definitely will not be returning, and the search for a new regular Chinese takeout spot continues...

I consider myself a bit of a broth snob--there's something special about the time it takes to create a good chicken stock. I decided to order a small wonton soup from their website, where it was listed at $2.75. What a deal, right? However, when my husband picked up the order, we were charged $3.90. Apparently, there's been a price change per their printed menu, which wasn't reflected with their online website--a small annoyance, but worth noting. If you're in search of a good soup broth, definitely another good restaurant to try. Now, onto the soup. The broth was actually quite good--not just plain yellow chicken broth but something with a bit more flavor. I'd possibly order it again. My main gripe is that a small soup came with only two wontons. Is this normal? Maybe it is, but I've been to other places in the Charleston-Summerville area that serve more wontons even in their small soups. While I might go back, I'd recommend asking ahead about the number of wontons if that's a dealbreaker for you. You may want to upgrade to a large if two wontons won't cut it. Overall, I'd say Pagoda is worth a shot, but manage your expectations for portion sizes.

The selection had all the classics: fried rice, lo mein, shrimp, and your typical buffet favorites. The shrimp fried rice was decent and flavorful enough, and the lo mein with shrimp and veggies was fresh and hot when we went There were also a few extras like fried items and sides that round out the plate, making it easy to load up and try a little bit of everything. Portion-wise, you definitely won't leave hungry. Service was pretty standard for a buffet--nothing over the top, but everything moved along smoothly. We believe our search is over, and we declare Great Wall our new go-to spot. We walked up to the counter and the young man patiently took our order. We then sat down and noted most of the orders ready for take out were for rice and fried chicken. I became a little anxious, as our order seemed to drag on, and I wondered silently if we were set for another disappointment. We've been hoping to find a new restaurant before Christmas Day, as we've planned this as our yuletide meal this year, and we've been searching since Fortune Garden unexpectedly closed on New Years Day this year. Our order was finally called, we were granted our various sauces, we retrieved everything and headed home. We began unpacking everything from the brown paper bag and I noticed a couple of things immediately: our order was correct, the food was hot...but then, something else caught my eye. The egg foo young gravy. Now, if you're a connoisseur of the egg foo young, you've undoubtedly run across sub-par gravy: thick, lumpy, gray and not terribly inviting. This was not that gravy. The concoction was a dark brown, silky and smooth. The taste of egg foo young and gravy was heavenly. We then tried the house special fried rice and the egg rolls. Definitely closest to our beloved Fortune Garden. You should make Great Wall your new forever Chinese takeout restaurants. Maybe we'll see you there on Christmas!
