Heard good things about China Kitchen from our son, so we tried it out. I'm glad we did, the food was very good and the portions were large. I had leftovers which made for a great lunch the next day. I had the sweet and sour chicken, which warmed up in my air fryer nicely. Flavors were very nice. We also had the egg or spring rolls, I forget but I know they were tasty. The pot stickers were also quite good but I have to say, the dipping sauce was surprisingly good. The rice was spot on too. I can't say anything about the restaurant since we had the food delivered. We've been coming here for 3 years. There seems to be a change of ownership. They have upgraded the waiting area a bit and they were pleasant enough. Note this is a takeout place. There's no real seating inside to eat. This time we had: curry chicken - bland and very little sauce, Kung pao chicken spicy - no spice AT ALL and this was not kung pao. Very bland. Horrible but edible. I had to doctor it up at home. Bourbon chicken which was plentiful and good. Pork fried rice was good. It always has been in this restaurant. Egg rolls are ok. Nicely Crispy but bland insides. A couple weeks ago we ordered honey garlic wings which were surprisingly amazing. And crab Rangoon which was also good but different from the prior owners. So I would say if you live in the area it's an ok Chinese place. Not disgusting. Just not worth a trip. These mid Chinese places are in every plaza. Don't order from here. Horrible Customer Service. I made an order and waited two hours for my food. The delivery driver could not find my location and decided to just give up on the delivery all together without notifying me. I had been buying take out here for years. Apparently the owner retired and under new management the quality of food is so bad I'm no longer giving them my business. Really sucks when a restaurant changes hands and the new owner makes horrible changes. Hot and Sour soup is no longer tasty. The dry noodles the gave very stale. Roast pork egg foo young barely eatable. Owner is overly friendly, but is going to find out she can't drop the quality and expect customers support. Like another reviewer, she wasn't honest about charging of ownership. She said the other owners are on holiday. I gave her 3 solid try's and the last was very bad and I'm glad we didn't get sick. So prices increased, changed lunch special last but from 4 to 3, food quality not good and not even consistent, I'm going to try Joy Luck II and hope for better. I sure miss Wongs on Jog and Lantana. This used to be the best Chinese food in this neighborhood but there has definitely been a change in ownership, even though they weakly deny it, and it's gone downhill to the point that it's not even worth ordering from them anymore. I noticed the ownership change a few months ago by the quality of the food. It was no longer as good as it had been, recipes had changed and several menu items were no longer available. I stopped using them for a few months but decided to give them another try this week. Much to my disappointment, the food had gotten worse. I normally order the Boneless Chicken, which was two chicken breasts cut into three fairly decent size slices with brown gravy. Now it's one chicken breast cut into 8 very thin slices with a garlic sauce that had way too much garlic and a really bad aftertaste. The Fried Wontons used to be delicious, now they are hard as rocks without much pork filling. My friend ordered the House Mei Fun and said it was dry and bland, and she was only able to salvage it by doctoring it up herself with spices in her kitchen. They also no longer take credit cards over the phone, instead coming to the door with a credit card scanner. I hate to lose this restaurant, as I've been a regular customer for over 20 years and they were the most reliable place around for good food delivered quickly at a reasonable price. But it's worth spending a little more money, and waiting a little longer for delivery, to order food that's actually edible. read more

Hunkering down in the area awaiting the arrival of a tropical storm, we'd gone to this shopping center for a few last minute items. We decided to grab some takeout so we wouldn't have to cook dinner later that evening. We were there early -- still during their lunch period -- so we ordered one of their lunch combos. Your selection of a main dish plus fried rice and the option of either an egg roll, or a soup, or a soda. I chose their cashew chicken and an egg roll and added on another egg roll. In addition to the combo, we got a dinner size entree of their Singapore rice noodles. The egg roll was quite good -- the traditional fried wrapper style and filled with pork and cabbage and minced veggies. I do prefer this kind to the flat thin spring rolls with mushy fillings. In the entree, the white chicken meat was tender and it was mixed with a variety of Chinese vegetables and, of course, whole cashew nuts. I liked this dish as well. The fried rice was just okay. I think I'd request white rice next time. The Singapore rice noodles were aromatic and well colored with a spicy curry -- enough to make my nose run (a good sign). Mixed in with the thin noodles were veggies, pork, chicken, and shrimp. This dish was great -- but I might request a tad less heat next time. We had more than enough from the two dishes leftover for another dinner for two plus a tad more. And price wise, it was pretty reasonable. I'd order takeout from here, again, in the future. read more

This place is great! Small take out joint but they do have a few tables. Nothing fancy here! But the food.....The shrimp & lobster sauce is the best I've ever had down in South Florida! I read a few of the reviews in constant search a a good Chinese restaurant and finding all of the ones that were bland.. so I figured I would give this one a try , struck gold. Relocated many years ago from NY and missed the taste of Chinese from China Town there , first time since I had the best food that brought back the memories of Good Chinese food.. walked inside and almost changed my mind but gave it to try , soooooo glad i didn't leave.. a test of a good Chinese restaurant has always for me been the chicken wings , usually if they suck the food usually matches.. tried the wings, amazing!!! Wonton soup amazing!!! Didn't taste like warm tea water like so many do , lots of flavor.. finally tried the fried rice again the was the best that match NY Chinese food.. my new go to from now on , search is over. It's disappointing when a Chinese Restaurant call itself one and the food is absolutely horrible. Fried rice with beef was more like frozen rice with peas, no egg, very small trims of beef fat as the beef. Egg rolls where dried and tasteless as was the spring rolls. I didn't even finish the food had to throw it away. Spending six years in San Francisco and enjoying some of the best Chinese food possible in the US, I have come to learn to find out if a Chinese restaurant is any good? Very good new York style chinese food. This is our go to place after trying other chinese restaurants, this one is better and consistently good. Ordered for delivery and food came quick and hot. So wasn't impressed. I ordered from this place bc of the reviews, and maybe they were having an off night, but I just wasn't impressed with the food. The food was dry, flavorless...really wasn't what I was expecting. Even the white rice tasted like it came from Publix and was left over from the day before. The spare ribs too...which is ironic, bc ribs are naturally juicy bc of the fat...but not these. Dry, no flavor...nothing. Nothing more to say, my star rating says it all.
