Tulsa has a few Chinese buffets, and so far I'd say this one has been my least favorite. I went for a late lunch with my friend and for the relatively high $13.99 price were disappointed in the freshness and quality. Much of the food on the buffet was cold and had been clearly sitting. In fairness, we were there around 2:30p, but a well run place should know to put out less food, rotate it more often or just close if there's not enough business to keep it turning over fresh. We had called ahead to ask about sushi and was told that they had it. Their sushi consisted of one little cold insert of various mixed rolls, mostly veggie that weren't even labeled. Those that had any kind of meat were basically artificial Krab. There are other places at the same (and i believe less) price that offer a much better selection of sushi if that's your want. The servers were nice. It's a buffet so they don't do too much, clear your plate, check your drink, I don't expect much more, and overall the place is pretty clean. In a pinch I may try it again during a busier time but sadly not rushing back. read more

I love buffet and I love China King. Of all the Chinese buffets in Tulsa, China King is the one not being afraid of the seasonings. Extra salt and extra MSG, you got it. As a result, the food had a BOLD TASTE. If you have high blood pressure, you might want to stay away. For everyone else, OMG! Adequate staffs including a host at the front and 2 servers. My server did an adequate job. China King may not be the most fancy Chinese buffet, but the food tasted so good thanks to the MSG overboard. P.S. Their chicken dishes (skewers, bourbon) were dry. The only good chicken dish was the pineapple chicken. The steamed Basa fish was great. Make sure to get the bottom piece. Also there is a credit card surcharge that they don't tell you about. The food here is reliably good. We've been customers here when we visit Tulsa. We never had a bad experience. The service is decent also.

With all the choices available, having more vegetarian dishes would be appreciated. On the other hand, everything was delicious...hubby enjoyed your establishment immensely. The egg rolls are very flavorful. The cabbage was fresh with a hit of sweet - making them tops in Tulsa. We went there for the first time tonight. Everything I tried was bland. The sesame chicken was too salty. The sweet and sour chicken was doughy. The sauce was weak and the chicken had no flavor. i ordered for the first time threw door dash my order was early. I ordered sweet-and-sour chicken and crab Rangoon's and eggrolls and let me tell you when they delivered it to my door. Pleasantly surprised. I almost didn't go in because of experiences at other Tulsa restaurants, including a Chinese buffet, but this was good. This is an excellent buffet if you like buffets. Everything is kept fresh and hot and is replenished quickly. The cake (the vanilla ones with the almond shavings on it) in the desert area was stale. The icecream in the icecream machine was creamy and delicious! It wasn't the grainy icemilk kind either. Love that. One thing I would recommend they do is clean the poop out of the shrimp! Recently went to China King in Tulsa, right when you walk in there is someone there to seat you. I went with my mom and it was during lunch but still got seated within seconds. Most of the food was very flavorful and hot. My go to was the pineapple chicken, sesame chicken with the fried rice. There were so many selections to choose from to make different combinations with each plate. I went on the weekend so all the prices are dinner prices no matter what time of day you go which is a little more pricey than throughout the week. If you have cash it will be the exact amount but they charge a fee for using debit and credit cards. Overall the experience was fulfilling. read more

Food tasted weird and first thing server asked was no tip? Who this guy think he is. Here is a tip bucko get better food. Felt like was stalking us was right on top of us the whole time I know I'm hot but gotta quit looking. It was a let down from start to finish. There was a bone in my chicken that's supposed to be boneless rice was very bland and sweet and sour sauce was more like strawberry sauce and tasted like chocolate. The food was stale... I came in right at the end of lunch and was charged dinner prices... Also, the food was still from lunch. It hadn't been freshened up. The eggrolls were cold. The crab Rangoon's were cold. My teriyaki chicken looked raw on the inside, the restaurant is outdated ,and looks kind of dirty, but that's to be expected for most Chinese buffets. For your information I'm not some kind of fancy pants snob. I was raised in rural Kansas and I'm used to greasy spoon diners. Left the money on the table, exact cash 47 dollars for 3 lunch buffets and 2 sodas. The lady followed us when leaving asking "i keep the change?" I knew i left exact change but incase i didnt, i said "yes" she proceeded to follow ua all the way to the exit telling us we only left 47 dollars. Tips are not mandatory and you shouldnt follow your guests to the exit to get one. The food wasnt good, and our drinks were never refilled i dont see a point in tipping that. read more

Came here on a Saturday right at opening 11:00am. The food was out and hot. Although not a huge choice of selections there is a little bit of everything. I wasn't very impressed with the selection personally. But it's decent. The to-go boxes are $15.00 but it's per container- and you get a soup container also. If you know me, you know I'm always on the hunt for the best buffet to eat at. China King isn't the BEST Chinese buffet in Tulsa, but it's definitely up there. I didn't have any issues about the food not being hot or the service - our plates were always taken away immediately and our waters never went empty. Food was constantly being refilled the whole time we were there (Saturday at lunch). There was also a surprising amount of people there (almost a full restaurant), so obviously they have something good going. Definitely an awesome value for the price. Been here before but this time I witnessed the little man bussing the table eat something off what someone left and then he took 2 to 3 unused napkins off a dirty table and give them back to the host. The food was much better today than usual, it was hot. This is usually the place for lots of warm, nice looking, mediocre food. Since it was hot, it was elevates to the good range. The wonton soup was delicious for the first time ever There is a huge variety of food and dessert. I didn't try any of the dessert items, I usually don't like any of their things. The staff are friendly and most speak little English. The physical plant is old and worn, but looked cleaner than usual too. This place is in an old diner. Food was below average. Service wasn't all that great. Didn't give them a tip. Our server had the audacity to ask for a tip. All she did was got us the first round of drink and didn't even bother to check back with us and refill our drinks. Cleared a few of our plates and that was it. We cleaned our own table. If you want a cold buffet this is your kind of place! Nothing on the buffet was hot. We went there about 5 pm. When you think they would have fresh food out that was hot but no not hot.
