First time coming here, got an order of crab Rangoon with gereral Tso's with rice and spare ribs with lo mein. Both came with egg roll This may be my new go too. I can tell how they make their eggrolls and the greasiness that it was going to be good The food was decent and was out fairly quick read more

Place is dirty and unsavory atmosphere. I would avoid this place Standard American Chinese menu read more

Got food from here for the first time and I was not disappointed. I ordered combination platter with boneless spareribs and chicken lo mein. My partner got General tso chicken with pork fried rice. Both dinners tasted good. We also got a side order of crab Rangoon. Staff was friendly here. Food was good and the prices were fair. I would stop here again. read more

I ordered delivery again for the second time after being very happy with the first dinner. I ordered the general sows tofu again, which I was happy with. I ordered my husband, a seafood dish that said to have lobster, crab, meat, shrimp, and scallops. it was thrown out in the trash, unfortunately. My husband didn't like it at all. It was not crab meat, but imitation crab. It was mostly imitation crab, the lobster meat, and the scallops. We could barely find they were chopped up very fine. I would not recommend the seafood dish, but again, I would continue to order the tofu. read more

China King - T13. Seafood Wor Bar - Chinese Near Me - Middletown, Connecticut

I order Shrimp Chow main every time I get Chinese. And I have lived in many places. Usually it comes in a quart carry out container. White Rice in another quart container and if you order fried rice it comes in yet another quart container. This Shrimp chow main came in a small clear top aluminum round container. When I opened it most of the container was fried rice topped with shrimp chow main. I would say only about a third of the container was shrimp chow main two thirds rice. If I had known this I would not have ordered more pork fried rice but we did, which came in a quart container. My wife's pork lo main was the same. I think they are trying to save money by shorting their customers. The food wasn't even that good. Kinda bland. I will not be going back. read more

I feel like people on Yelp have too high standards for places like this, it's not gonna be fancy or flashy, but it is going to be really good; and this is one of my favorite Chinese places as of late :D All of their food (at least what I've tried) is basically what I would consider the gold standard of Chinese food :D read more

I ordered the crab rangoons and the general chicken. It came cold and I literally had to spell my address to them for 5 times. The dude showed up over an hour after I ordered it. When he showed up at the door he was smoking and ask if I wanted change back on my $8.25 order I gave him a 20... I live less than 4 miles away not like it's a long drive or anything. the food isn't that good but that could be because the food was cold read more

Extremely bad food poisoning from sesame chicken last night. So disappointed I went here all the time. I'll NEVER go back now

I was passing through Middletown and had a sudden dumpling craving, as I am wont to do, and this place was apparently the only chinese place open at the time. The family that runs this place seemed very kind and allowed me to have tap water with my meal which came from a pitcher they kept in the fridge. The layout of this place reminds me of Neptune's Yummy Yummy. I got the sesame chicken, a spring roll, and an order of steamed pork dumplings. The sesame chicken was your standard Americanized fare. Nothing special there. The spring roll was crispy but the inside had a texture I didn't care for. At least it didn't have shrimp in it like many of the spring rolls I've tried in Norwalk! The main attraction for me were the dumplings which really raised this place from a 2-star to a 3-star review. I think this place must make their own dumpling wrappers or something and must use a different method to do it because there is no other way to describe the dough's texture than "satiny-smooth". That sounds silly, but it's true. The inside of the dumplings was a tiny step above what I've come to expect in Connecticut, but still nothing to write home about. The outside really knocked my socks off though, which is saying something since the whole appeal of a dumpling is really meant to be the interior. I believe that China King also has veggie dumplings. If I was passing through Middletown again, I might stop by and try out the veggie-version to see if the insides could match the outsides. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They do staples really well and then they some other things phenomenally. I LOVE getting curried vegetables from them. So. GOOD. Highly recommend for any vegetarian. read more

Good place to stop for lunch $5.25 gets you a combo with soup The broccoli dishes are excellent Service is quick and unlike most of the other takeouts that you find around central Conn. these folks believe in putting the heat on . So a quick sit down lunch is a pleasure. read more

Ok, we have now had 2 good orders in a row. This one today was perfect. If the good continues, I will totally delete ALL of the neg. The food was fresh & correct & they remembered everything. BIG IMPROVEMENT!! read more

Disappointed. Won't order again. Really nothing special. Dried out and tough chicken and pork.

Order from here all the time. Never had a problem and food is always good. Consistent, reasonably priced. If you're looking for boujee this isn't your place. If you're looking for good take away for a solid price, this is your place. read more

so first off, we(me and my younger cousin) said the address abt 5 TIMES. even then, they ended up at a completely wrong address.so what was the employees solution? to get mad at us and accuse us of pranking her. after telling her abt 4 more times what our address was and convincing her that this wasnt a prank, the delivery woman finally showed up to give us our food. when she got out of her car, we gave her our money. she literally SNATCHED THE MONEY OUT OF MY HAND AND SHOVED THE FOOD AT ME(keep in mind, we were being VERY polite during all of this). and before she drove off she had the AUDACITY to say in a cold tone, next time why dont you pay the full amount, okay? the only reason that i dont give these people 1 star is because the only good thing abt the whole ordeal was the food. TL;DR: terrible service, rude and bitchy, but pretty good food. would not recommend. read more

Awful. Ordered General Tso for lunch. Picked up "fresh" not delivered. The chicken was stale - literally tasted like it had been leftover from a couple days before and then cooked again until dry and hard - and the fried rice Definitely was leftover. It was cheap but I'll never eat there again unless I need to throw up. read more

Vegetarians take note. This very typical Chinese takeout has one very special feature - a selection of faux meat dishes. All the dishes are very large for the price and everything seems clean but the food itself is dull. Take the hot and sour soup for instance. The container is about a quart but it tastes like it came from a can. It's neither hot or sour. Also, don't expect to do substitutions or have them leave out the onions. Customizing dishes is simply dot an option. read more

My 1st time ordering from this and will be my last!! I ordered 2 simple lunch dishes. My office is about 5 min away driving distance and 10-15 walking distance. I am not able to leave my job and I called for them to deliver. It took them an hour and a half to bring it to my job. Pizza comes by delivery faster than that!! And the food is just okay and it came cold. read more

The man who took my order over the phone didn't know the menu very well. When my husband came home with the order half of it was wrong. I phoned and was told that they would credit my credit card, but that never happened. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from this place again. read more

The food is good but they're price gouging and I'm disgusted!! I live about 12-14 minutes away and that's considered far for delivery! Are you serious!! I've been ordering here for years and then all of a sudden they switch up.One day it's a minimum of $25 during the day smh and then during the evening it's now $30 minimum. They constantly change and adjust the prices for delivery who does that?! read more

Good food...but mostly I am impressed with the delivery driver. Tonight when he brought my food he forgot my soda and I mentioned it but told him not to worry about it was ok. Twenty minutes later I heard someone at my door and it was him. He drove back after the business was already closed and brought me my soda! Just because of this I will continue to order from there. read more

I love chinese food but I had never ordered from China King. I did last Saturday- my friends and I ordered six combos which we picked up. In my Beef and Broccoli, I chewed something and it turned out to be a HUMAN FINGERNAIL. I'm serious. After much egging on from my friends, I called China King to alert them of the situation, and explained that I had picture of the offending nail. The lady who answered the phone passed it over to a gentleman, who rudely told me 'DO what you have to do.' and hang up. Well, least I could do.. read more

best take out chinese in middletown. My wife thinks they know us on a first-name basis.

So we decided to try them AGAIN, and we found out they had given us the wrong order when we came home. Maybe the young guy who was working would have given us the right one if he wasn't so busy talking to his friends about smoking weed. It's not like we drove down there in a snowstorm or anything. Fuckin idiots, NEVER going there again!!!!!!!!!! read more

The food is always delicious but the customer service really lacks. Especially if you order over the phone they're kind of rude and rush you off. But I continue to order because you can't beat the speed and the taste! read more

I'm a first time customer of China KIng. If your looking for Chinese delivery, call China King. If your looking for better Chinese food, go elsewhere and pick it up. Lomein was lacking flavor, Beef on a Stick (great name) was covered in too much sauce (not teriyaki, more like bbq - sweet, weird), a bit cool, a bit chewy, and was small for the price. The egg rolls are bland in flavor and the Wonton soup was again, lacking flavor. I swear I'm not a spice whore, but a little flavor would go a long way in all these dishes. read more

Disturbed that they are not giving receipts. I was suspicious the first time. I was asked for a certain amount. But after giving money, a different amount was rung up. Then the money was placed in a different register. If paying by credit card the full amount is placed in the same first register. I should not have to ask for a receipt. what is the stroy with this and isn't it against the state regulations not to give a receipt after a purchase? read more

Food tasted like farts! Plus the delivery man said have a good night when it was only 12 noon. Despicable
