We just found our new favorite Chinese restaurant in Durham!…read more We placed an online order for pickup and ordered the Beef Chow Fun and General Tso's Chicken, and we were delightfully surprised by how good everything was! The General Tso's Chicken had a wonderful taste and just the right amount of crispiness, which I absolutely love. It came with fried rice that was delicious and perfectly cooked without being greasy. The Beef Chow Fun was equally impressive, with well-seasoned noodles and incredibly tender beef with a slight crispness. Everything was cooked just right, and we couldn't have been happier with our meal. We're already looking forward to ordering again. Also, since my husband and I can't eat rice we requested noodles with our entree and I was told outright that they could not do that so we ordered soup and an egg roll. Our guests ordered a meal and said it was good. So that was good. It was my fault that I didn't tell them to serve our soup and egg roll as an entree as it was served right away and our guests food arrived 20 minutes later. I doubt I will be going back any time soon.

I tried a lemon/lime drink that was very tasty and refreshing. The restaurant was super clean. We were seated and orders taken quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our food was very delicious and flavorful! Portions were perfect- not huge but not too small either. The waiter talked us into dessert since they make some homemade on site. I tried the tiramisu cake- yum! Prices were about what most places are charging for entrees now. I'll be back!

We waited for a bit, and eventually someone approached us, but that was a little annoying. Service after that was fine and relatively fast. Food-wise, I got the Home-style braised tofu and Mango pomelo sago. The tofu had a savory sauce that didn't have a ton of flavor other than braised soy, but did have lots of well-cooked veggies and large tofu pieces. At some point they ran out of rice, and the rice they did give me a lot later was unfortunately overcooked. The mango pomelo sago was really good actually, perfect amount of sweetness, strong mango and pomelo flavors, nice texture from sago. Ambiance is nice. Parking in this area is a little limited. 6.5/10 would maybe recommend.

There are a few outdoor tables if you want to eat there, but everything is packaged to-go. My friends and I came with a large group and ordered a lot of food. Since everything is made fresh to order, there was a bit of a wait, but the owners were so kind and worked as fast as they could. They even gave us free drinks while we waited, which was such a nice gesture! I ordered the pork and chive dumplings. The filling was flavorful, but the wrappers were a little thicker than I prefer. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by if you're looking for a quick takeout meal and want to support some really sweet owners. If I'm specifically craving dumplings, though, I'd probably try another spot next time.

Pork Dumpling (Siu Mai / Siomai) -- Steamed pork in a wonton wrapper, perfectly juicy with just the right balance of pork and vegetables in every bite. A delicious classic done right. 6. Beef Onion Dumpling in Chili Sauce -- One of the best dumplings we've had--and we've been to dim sum spots all over the world! The beef is flavorful and juicy, wrapped in a thin, perfectly chewy skin. The chili sauce complements the filling beautifully without overpowering it. Generous portion, amazing value, flawless execution. 9. Steamed BBQ Pork Bun -- Soft, fluffy buns filled with mildly sweet BBQ pork. Comforting, classic, and delicious every time. 11. Egg Yolk Bun -- Lightly sweet custard filling inside soft steamed buns. The perfect bite of dessert to end your dim sum feast. 16. "Great Asian dishes on Hope Valley Road in Durham"…read more Came here on a Saturday at about 6:30pm, but was able to get a table for 2 right away. The restaurant was busy but not quite full. You enter from the side of the building (where it looks like people get takeout) and walk toward the front for seating. There were a mix of booths and tables, and the setting is bright with big windows. The aroma from the food was excellent from the start. My girlfriend and I split the chicken stir-fried handmade noodles (under ramen) and an order of sautéed ong choy (greens, under "vegetables and tofu" in the menu). Food came in about 10 minutes, maybe less. We liked both dishes a lot. The ong Choy was fresh and delicious but pushing the high end of my spicy-hot tolerance. It also came with rice, which helped. But I really really liked the flavor of the seasoning and dish overall. It felt like the kinds of vegetable dishes I had when visiting China. The noodles themselves were delicious- clearly made in store. I did feel like the chicken and sauce were VERY mild though. For me, frankly, the best option would be to mix these two dishes, which was exactly what we did. Service was great- we got a nice big bottle of water for me and a pot of hot tea for my girlfriend. And they came to check periodically and let us pay at the table. The price was EXCELLENT- $30 before tip for us both. Overall, a good option for tasty and affordable Asian cuisine, and judging from how many people were in the restaurant, I think others agree.

We were left hanging for a bit until another waiter came along and led us to our table. It's nice that they provide water at the table so you don't need to ask for refills. We browsed the menu and eventually ordered, we got the Mapo Tofu, Stir Fried Pork, Lamb Dish, Chili Oil Wontons, Xiao Long Bao with Crabmeat, and the Beef Noodles. Each of us got a service of rice as well. The Mapo Tofu was flavorful but didn't have any meat sauce in it. It paired nicely with the rice. The Stir Fried Pork was also good and had a nice flavor and the Pork was tender. The Lamb Dish was a bit disappointing as they tried to do to much to the Lamb and it had too much of that velvety meat flavor and lost a lot of the original meaty flavor, the veggies were good. The Chili Oil Wontons left a lot to be desired. Not enough heat nor filling in the Wontons. The Xiao Long Bao was a bit disappointing as well. Not enough soup and the crab meat was just OK. The beef noodles also tasted too plain and the noodles/broth was a bit cold and not warm enough. The service was fairly good as our waiter came back around multiple times to see how everything was. It got very busy as we started getting our food. Overall not a bad experience. It was a bit weird how there was no music playing inside.
