I ordered the Happy Family, Spring Rolls and steamed dumplings via Door Dash. Everything was excellent!! The Happy Family was a generous portion with fresh, flavorful and plentiful ingredients. Really delicious! Even the white rice was perfect. The dumplings were tasty and came with plenty of the sauce and the spring rolls nice and light and crispy - very tasty. I savored every bite and have enough left for a full second meal so this could easily feed two. Door Dash delivered quickly so full meal was very warm. This was our go to Chinese delivery for 10+ years. Sadly, the prices have increased significantly twice. We have also had beef which had gone bad mixed in with the beef and broccoli - rancid tasting The order I placed at 4:20 didn't arrive until after 6pm and was cold upon arrival. More than once, the food has arrived cold and at an unsafe temperature since the driver change. A winner of take-out Chinese food taste quality, price, customer service, and speed! I asked them to fax me their menu and received it within minutes even though it was so close to lunch time. They called me back a minute after I got the fax to make sure that I had. One look at their lunch specials and I was sold. Very good prices on many normal take-out foods like General Tzao's and sesame chicken. They offered free delivery, but I wanted to check the place out myself. They called me en route to tell me my order was ready, 15 minutes after I had ordered it. This obscurely placed eatery hides in the shadow of a poor competitor, the Asia buffet (don't go there, it's not worth your money). The tiny take-out restaurant looked clean and they boxed up my food in an appreciative way for the average Joe who often gets take-out. The manager was kind and seemed happy to be doing business. I always love someone who seems to be happy in their place of work. The food itself was probably the best Chinese take-out I've ever had. I've had some stuff that came close to this, but their fried pork rice was sooo good and flavorful, I know I've never had take-out rice that good before. The Dasher showed up quicker than we thought. Food was hot and packaged well. My son and I both ordered Gen. Tsao chicken. Had a good taste with a little kick. Chicken was good and not over breaded. I was excited to read the great reviews and waited patiently for my order to arrive because I just knew it would be amazing... Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The sesame chicken was hard, overcooked pieces smothered in sauce. The egg foo yong was burnt on one side and the gravy with it was tasteless and yellow. They gave me shrimp fried rice instead of the vegetable fried rice I ordered. This would not have been a big issue except that my stepdad is allergic to shrimp. Best Chinese takeout in Bradenton/Bayshore Gardens! Hearty portions, always delivered hot, friendly delivery people. Call them or hit their website to order directly, DONT use Uber Eats when ordering, it ends up being so much more expensive, plus the restaurant loses money that way. Our favorite dishes are their General Two's chicken, sesame chicken, Hunan chicken, vegetable chow mei fun (thin rice noodles), crab Rangoon, spring rolls, fried shrimp & egg rolls. Even their plain white rice that comes with most entrees is on point, soft and tender. We spend around $50-$60 and can get about 6-7 individual meals out of it. Their delivery times vary...if you order early you won't be waiting as long as they quote you, order on a Friday/Saturday at the height of dinner time be prepared to wait at least an hour. read more

We've ordered from this place 3 times because they deliver and we really wanted to give them a chance. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but this place is consistently disappointing. The customer service is horrible. I called to place my order and tried to confirm my address and you could clearly hear the frustration and annoyance in the women's voice as she took a deep breath and put me on hold before coming back to confirm the address. The food arrived pretty fast but that's because it wasn't fully cooked. The rice was half raw and gross. I was so disappointed because I really wanted take out for the first time in weeks. I get it, the demand is so probably crazy and she is probably busy but that's no excuse for the food being undercooked. Best orange chicken ever created! No Chinese place has similar tasty orange chicken! It's not comparable! There Orange Chicken is AMAZING & the Best ever! Delivery is pretty quick! During a "rush" such as lunch or dinner it "could" take up to 1 hour but that's really not that bad in theory because they have to make the food, 15-25 mins to make then deliver it. They have amazing wings, French fries taste great & aren't that greasy, shrimp is good, sweet rolls are a bit to sweet for my taste but are amazing, & they have decent prices & amazing food. They normally don't get my order wrong. If they do its small things such as giving me the wrong types of soda I'll ask for Diet & they'll give me regular soda. Or I'll ask to substitute "Fried rice" with white rice but they'll screw up & give me the fried rice.. Then lastly I'll ask for a pork egg role but they'll give me a shrimp egg role... I try not to be "stereotypical" of Chinese places, but part of me can't get myself to call back & tell them they messed up on my order... just because some of the things I've heard.... but like I said.... it doesn't happen that often... its probably happened 8 times out of the 50+ times I've ordered from here... & it's just small things in my order.... so its not a big deal... It's definitely a must try place! They have amazing food! Got this delivered to our hotel in Sarasota and it was like being back on Long Island! Who knew you could get NY style Chinese food here?! Much better than any Chinese food we had in Denver and I would argue we still have not found better Chinese food in Miami...although I am sure it is out there, and I haven't given up hope! While I have compassion for how much work goes into running a restaurant, I think I will forever mark this place as a never again. We ordered an appetizer and entrée for pickup and she quoted 15minutes. We showed up 10min later and they had not even started cooking it. She said it would be ready in 10 minutes so we took a seat; 30 minutes later and listening to tell anyone who asked 15 min, we got our food. Ready to dig in as soon as we got home, the appetizer of pan fried dumplings looked like shrivled dark brown balls of nastiness. How can these people say this is like a NYC Chinese restaurant?!? We ordered it for the first time last night, and it had no flavor. The Pork Lo Mein was flavorless with sad chunks of pork that had the consistency of shoe leather. The General Tso's chicken had 5 miles of breading and was just sweet with no heat. Their fried rice also was YELLOW like it came out of one of those mini Mahatma Spanish rice packets, but with no flavor, again - not even salty! The Pu Pu Platter was over fried and icky, everything too greasy, and the Crab Rangoon had zero crab or surimi - never again! They have a cool online ordering system, and the delivery came quickly, so that was nice...but dinner was sick, and not in a good way. Usually we get take out from Ming's Palace, but Ming's happens to be closed on Sundays. It just so happens that yesterday was a Sunday, and we had a hankering for Chinese. I chose China King as it was the closest, and offers free delivery. The free delivery, and nifty online ordering are pretty sweet, but those are the only highlights of our China King experience. We ordered at 6:45 pm, and our food arrived at 8:00 pm. Their slogan should be "free in a fortnight." Our order was supposed to come with two free egg rolls. No egg rolls made it to our door. Oh well. The food tastes a lot like average run of the mill Chinese buffet kinds of stuff. Bland flavors, too much breading on the chicken, super thick sauces that are too sweet- you know the style. Crab Rangoon come ten in an order, but they are low on filling and it has little flavor. General Tso's wasn't spicy at all and tasted more like sweet and sour, and the sauce was bright red like sweet and sour sauce. Beef Lo mein was alright, but again slightly lacking in flavor. The fried dumplings were decent, and the best item out of the order. This is food for people who like large portions, but lower quality flavor. read more

We have been ordering from this place for over 6 months and at first was great but ast month orders have not been up to snuff. They left stuff out of previous order and said remind them - the last order we did and they did not replace and top it off they say delivery in 45-65 minutes called after 90 was was told was on way - finally got 45 minutes later- not only was it not hot they didn't replace the missing item and didn't even get this order right so after a 2+ hour wait had cold food and wrong food. Contacted them about it and never heard back. I'm updating my review, and had to knock it down a star... Hopefully it doesn't get rid of my old review, but for some reason China King is no longer accepting credit or debit card payment for their online system? I'm not really certain what's going on with that but we had to order from a different Chinese food place tonight because that is our preferred means of payment and neither of us had cash on us to pay in cash. Sad, because I really prefer their food over other places, and i'm not really certain whether they are going through some site issues or if the business is having trouble... but here's my original review in case Yelp does get rid of it. Just know, they are currently not accepting credit cards or debit cards for online payment, and I don't know anything about whether they accept it in-restaurant or not because we have always ordered online or via phone from them (and MUCH prefer online): "4/5 stars: Have had only one bad experience where they forgot an item we ordered. Didn't look at many of the other reviews but I am sure it's mixed reviews as is most Chinese food places. I can only give my personal opinion.
