Growing up in New York City, I'm hard pressed to find authentic Chinese Food in Atlanta, so I'm elated to find it here. Popped in for something light, late, near closing on Saturday night 6/20/26. Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Wonton Soup. It was exceptional, not greasy, tasted as if it was the first of the day! My guest raved about the Crab Ragoon she had. The service was good, portions were great, and even the owner was jovial and aimed to please. The Ambiance was warm and inviting. I've been there a few months back and remembered a group of young people of Asian descent dining in, thoroughly enjoying their meal: that's always a good sign of a great Asian restaurant. I don't live near the area, but I'll be back soon for the food! read more

I actually came here on a quick case of munchies and finding the closest chinese spot next to me after a long day helping a friend organize a house warming and several drinks once the party started. Unfortunately there wasn't much at the party that appealed to my personal palette so on a quick trip to pick up more supplies at the local supermarket, I saw this spot close by and figured I'd give it a try since I genuinely love Chinese food. I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli in white sauce and it wasn't bad and did exactly what I needed it to do but the wait for the food itself took forever. Way longer than I've had to wait for food for a quite a while to be honest. Not sure if they were short staffed or what but it seemed to be functioning as normal unless I was missing something. My personal issue with the time it took for the food is that they kept telling me it'll be ready soon but it clearly wasn't. Can't say I'll be back primarily because I don't live in the area and it was just something that hit the spot right when I needed it but overall the food was pretty good and I had no complaints about it. Did exactly what I needed it too. read more

The food is always fantastic. Never had a complaint with the taste or anything of the sort. I'd suggest calling ahead and giving them 10-15 minutes to have the food done. read more

I'm starting to wonder if I need to bring a flare to be remembered- More than once, I've sat patiently while my order was completely forgotten. No apology, no urgency, just silence while others are served. I'm not sure how many more chances I'm willing to give. read more

At first I was worried because there were a lot of people waiting for their food, but I was pleas surprised to receive good customer service and the food was exceptional. I ordered sesame chicken and friend rice and a drink and it was like $17. read more

POISON I called in an order for Egg Foo Young 5/6/24 and when I got it home I realized it tasted bad because it was burnt on the other side. I called immediately and the cashier was nice, he said they would make me a new one, so come get it. Unfortunately he or the cook put eye drops in the gravy and poisoned me!! Within an hour I ran to the bathroom, then felt extremely weak, drained, depleted and could hardly move, heart was beating slow, couldn't stay awake and had chills and fever for about 16 hours. It passed after that and I was just tired the whole next day. I had eaten nothing before eating this for lunch, so I looked up eye drop poisoning and it matched. SO, you can't complain if you paid for burnt food!! STAY AWAY!! I think they did this to me. read more

Unsure of what I may be eating , But I doubt that it's beef. I have never chewed a piece of meat as long as it would take me to walk my dog. Inedible to say the least. I gave them another try even after the feathers on my wings, but this takes the cake. No...ruins my taste for cake. read more

China Inn - Mongolian Beef - Chinese Near Me - Mableton, Georgia

They gave us old re heated food. It tasted like refrigerator. You order Chinese because you don't want leftovers. I don't want to pay them for leftovers that's the whole point to but fresh food that you didn't cook read more

The food is not the best. Giving them two stars for their hours of operation. Not many places in the area stay open as late as they do but I've definitely had better. read more

The reviews on here are super outdated. This place is actually really good and I've been several times over the last month or two. I can speak for their meat dishes but their home style tofu is ridiculously delicious. It's always super hot and fresh when I pick up. They're friendly and super pandemic-conscious. It's pickup and delivery only, from what I can tell, as the restaurant is blocked off and there's only a walk up window to pickup & pay. I'm honestly totally fine with that. It's quick and fresh every time I call. I recommend that you give it a try for yourself because they've surely improved since the time of some of the older, negative reviews have been posted. read more

Things you should never see at an eating establishment: Food being prepared out in the open on a table. China Inn it was nice, but it's over. You know better than that. Smh! I used to love, love China Inn. It was your typical affordable Chinese takeout place, and the husband and I would stop by there a couple a times a month. However, one day I saw one of their staff or owners (not sure) preparing dumplings on one of the eating tables reserved for customers, out in the open. I was so mortified that I had to snap a pic. To some people preparing dumplings on a table may not be a big deal, but I'm sure in food handling 101 that is a no no. You can't prepare food on a table without any type of covering that many people have eaten on, and you can't just prepare food and walk away from it unattended with no regard that a customer could do something to it. Sadly, now I have to find a new neighborhood Chinese takeout. read more

China Inn - A no no! - Chinese Near Me - Mableton, Georgia

China Inn is located in the new Publix shopping center in Mableton. They feature your standard Chinese take out at reasonable prices. Your food is always ready in 10 minutes and the staff is very friendly. I usually get a veggie dish or sometimes I'll go for a shrimp one. Last night it was General Tso's Shrimp with steamed rice. Oh, that's another thing- everything comes with streamed rice instead of fried. Love it! read more

Rude staff. Incredibly unsanitary environment. The food wasn't terrible, but it was bland and I couldn't finish it after what I witnessed.

Only 1 person in at a time in a small 2x2 area. Area looked dirty. Didn't even order.

Very disappointed. I got the Honey Chicken lunch special. Price was good ($7) but food was bland, dull, and simply tasteless. The fried rice was dry. It tasted like brown rice with soy sauce. The egg roll was hard and lacking flavor. Ultimately I had to go buy lunch somewhere else cause the food here was trash. I'll drive to Floyd Rd for New Hans. Much better. read more

It's gotten better...! I ate here last night for probably the third or fourth time. Normally the food is just ok if not great. However, something must have changed because last night the food was great! The Generals Taso chicken was very flavorful and the egg drop soup was good. I hope this continues! read more

Hey, when you see the people eating their own food, you can't hate. I've always noticed this spot from going to Subway next door or Publix a few steps down. I don't really fancy Chinese food like that, but the Mr. wanted something other than Mexican cuisine. He asked me if I wanted to check out China Inn and I did despite some of the reviews I've seen. I ordered the Mixed Veggies and requested Garlic Sauce instead of the brown sauce with a side of Vegetable Fried Rice, oh and an order of Crab Ragoon. I wouldn't dare order Chinese food with out it. There's no way that you can mess that up. I waited until we got home to open everything up. Well, it looked good! The fried rice wasn't what I expected - it had a bunch of broccoli and carrots in it, along with peas, and egg. It was really good! I was pleasantly surprised. Oh, I forgot to mention that I called first to see what time they closed. It was a toss up between China Inn and Star East [ive been there once]. So anyway, the lady on the phone proceeded to ask me what I wanted. I stuttered and said "uh, uh, I'll just come in and order" (I kinda wanted to see what the place looked like inside since a trusted yelper was disgusted by them preparing food on service tables) So the lady said "yeah, you just come in", in her deepest accent. Before we left, she stopped us and said "you just called?" I confirmed and she smiled and said "thank you coming in. yeah, come in." see you next time." I laughed and thanked her. This made me happy that I went in to make that connection. read more

The fried rice is really good it's not the cheap yellow rice they try and pass as fried rice

the food is good reminds me of new york chinese food... some days the chicken is not fried hard enough and has a raw taste...the best thing to get is fried chicken with the pork fried rice with eggs in it... oh and i wish they delivered read more

Meh. I don't love this place. I usually only go here when I'm too lazy to go any farther. The dishes are hit or miss. Sometimes the food is OK, sometimes I have taken a few bites and thrown the rest away. I'd love to find a better option for good Chinese food in the area. Unfortunately, this isn't it. read more

This place is no Oriental Express. Nor is it the amazeballs Chinese food that is found in the neighborhoods of New York. But! This place is consistent, friendly, and clean. Everytime I go in- things look right. From what I can pick up, this particular restaurant is run by family (or friends) and it has that feel to it. The food is good. It's always quick to pick up and they don't balk when you want something done differently. Yeah- I'll be back. read more

Waited inside the restaurant at lunchtime today, which was pretty empty, patiently for a person to take our order. Servers came and went, noticed us, but never came to the table. We even tried waving and signaling but to no avail. After 20 minutes of no service we left. What a waste of time and gas. read more

We've been going here for a while. A few things are really good: egg rolls, crab rangoons, cashew chicken, soupes, and lo mein. I would probably give them 4 stars but the fried rice is terrible. It's not even fried with an egg. I've tried a few other Chinese place in the area and the fried rice is not any bette read more

I like the egg rolls. Everything else has been kind of bland or greasy. I prefer to drive up to Floyd Road to Star East.

Recognize this place for what it is: a take-out Chinese joint. Is it as good as anything in China Town or even a sit down place? Of course not. It is, however, consistently good quality, fast, and friendly. Menu has all the classics. Orders are always fresh tasting and prepared fast. Always amazed at the number of walk-in customers who then take-out. It's so easy to call ahead if you have a menu (one comes with every order) and then pick it up ten minutes later. I walk past all the folks standing in line at the counter, pay for my food and walk out. Wings and fried rice are favorites if you're part of that crowd, but be sure to give the entrees as shot. read more

It's not the best and it's not the worst. It will do and I've never gotten sick from eating here. The egg Foo young needs work, the beef lo mein is fair the hot and sour soup could be better, and the sesame chicken is ok. Like I said it's not the best and it's not the worst. I couldn't imagine eating my food here, the decor is a turn off lol the food score is a high B if I'm not mistaking or could be a low A. **shrugs** it's just ok but it's better than most of the chinese in the area. read more

Good, not great, reliable standard Chinese fare that is prepared quickly and reasonably priced. Great for an easy take out place if you're nearby, wouldn't recommend dining inside. read more

Lady at the front desk had an attitude. She assumed that my friend and I were taking our food to go. She had it bagged up and when we asked for two plates so that we can eat inside, she seemed annoyed. She actually dug inside the bag of food for the two plastic forks, since we were using silverware. Food was bland. I had a quart of the shrimp lo mein that I drowned with soy sauce. The egg roll hardly had any pork. It was basically a fried cabbage roll. read more

Food is decent and lunch prices are a good deal, but the service is awful. I'm not sure if there is some kind of cultural time warp thing happening - but the employees barely speak English, take forever to wait on you, never give you refills and have to be asked repeatedly for the check. Even with no one in the restaurant, all of the above will happen! I'll keep coming due to the convenience factor, but the service always irritates. read more

This was my second time ordering from China Inn and the customer service was horrible...again. I ordered the sweet & sour chicken combo (chicken, fried rice & an egg roll) and a hot & sour soup. I ate the chicken first then moved on to the soup. I ate about half of it until I put more soup on my spoon and noticed a ROACH in the soup. My husband immediately called China Inn and the lady was extremely rude. Her first response was, "sometime bugs fly in the food from the trees." My husband said he needs the full refund for what we purchased, she insisted on only refunding $2.00 and a replacement soup. My husband continuously shared that that wasn't acceptable, so she told me to come in the next day because they were closing. My husband went in there today with the unfinished soup with a roach in it, egg roll and the fried rice that I didn't touch after finding the roach in my soup. Again, she tried to argue she'd only refund $2.00. It got to the point that my husband shared that they had his 9 months pregnant wife eating soup with a roach in it and he would also report it to the county's public health department. She quickly refunded him for the entire meal after he said that. I looked up China Inn's restaurant score & they have failed NUMEROUS times just within the past year. We won't be back. read more

The woman at the front was very rude to me. When my food came out, she dropped in on the counter saying, "Your food is ready" with a horrible attitude. I won't be eating here again. I also saw her place a red sauce in a container on the floor before placing it in the refrigerator. The food tasted decent though. read more
