I don't normally feel a need to write reviews for these kinds of places, but the lady at the cashier (one of the owners?) was so nice and friendly that I want to support her. Maybe knowing that I might have expectations for Chinese food, she was careful to let know what might taste more characteristically Chinese or not, like the spicy tofu being more sweet than mapo tofu spicy because it uses the orange chicken sauce. Dumplings were good but definitely Americanized, with the wrapping really thick. Good for traveling and reheating though, as the dough is unlikely to disintegrate. The sauce was a surprising bonus--it is actually very Chinese, with ginger and scallions added to the soy sauce.

It looks like every Chinese restaurant I've been to, a little old and beat up. The staff are always nice and courteous. As for the review about the food not looking like the picture, every Chinese restaurant uses the same pictures, and pretty much the same menus. Do you complain when your BK Whopper doesn't look like the picture or the one on TV? It's a silly complaint. The other complaints from years ago don't stand here. From my experience, Chinese restaurants change hands every couple to few years. It may be under new ownership right now.
