This is an excellent Chinese restaurant that serves good food at a good price. The buffet has a wide variety of Chinese food (American style) that doesn't tax your wallet. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon while shopping and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely coming back. read more

I loved it I recommend the peanut butter chicken I ate a little bit of everything and guess what this is the first Chinese buffet I ever went to that had real good ice cream for dessert mint choc. chip, birthday cake flavor etc. none of that soft serve crap, I was impressed. sweet people it's our new permanent fav and where we will hold all of our future family get togethers. read more

Was hesitant to go here based on the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with my stay. The restaurant itself looks kind of shabby and rundown, but the food was quite the opposite. All of the dishes we ate WERE warm/hot, so much so that you could see the steam coming off everything. It was a cold winter day, and all the windows were fogged up from the heat! The options that weren't hot/full were refilled fairly quickly. I was surprised to see some uncommon dishes for a Chinese buffet there, such as salmon and cream cheese wontons. My personal favorite was the fried green beans: so many buffets overcook them and they lose the nice plump texture, but this place found the perfect medium between plump texture and flavor. The bathrooms weren't much to look at, but what bathrooms are nowadays? The doors allowed you to be almost completely secluded, a nice feature I don't see in many bathrooms today. There was only one waitress when we were there, but she was polite and prompt. We gave her a modest tip and she was beaming afterwards, so I can only imagine what kind of customers she's had to deal with in the past. Overall I think this is a rather underrated restaurant. I think too many people have held the highest standards for what may as well be a mom-and-pop joint. If you're on the road traveling and need a quick bite to eat that isn't the McDonald's next door, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This used to be an ok place but not anymore. There is a man who I can only assume is the manager who follows people eyeing what they take, like watching your not taking too much. Noone greets you with a friendly greeting. Noone speaks english so when you ask them a question they have to find someone to translate for you. They dont make sure you are enjoying yourself. If you know anyone who gave this establishment 5 stars- question everything else you know about them. This place is sketchy from the jump. Upon arrival you see this tiny Chinese buffet is a commandeered Burger King. The door handles are sticky. The men's bathroom has no way to way to dry you hands & a urinal 4 1/2 feet up the wall. The women's bathroom has an air dryer, but it doesn't work. At first glance the place looks like the selection might be decent but it's clearly the same tables as the the '96 BK that once was there. Against our better judgement we tried the food anyway, it at least smelled good. Kids tried macaroni and cheese, sweet & sour chicken, crayfish, crab rangoon & egg rolls. The macaroni and cheese had clearly been sitting there for days. Whatever small amount of milk or milk products are in it had gone sour. It was inedible. The crayfish & egg roll were also terrible but I can't possibly explain just how bad as I refused to try it myself. The chicken & sweet & sour sauce that go with it were actually edible. The crab Rangoon was shockingly terrible. It was basically just cream cheese in a fried wonton wrapper. I tried several chicken items, one of which didn't actually have any chicken in it at all & was just dough. I tried several pieces & each one was chickeless. The lo mein my husband had was also inedible. I didn't see any fish in it- but it had a strange fish flavor. None of us finished our food. None of us dared to try seconds. The only thing this place has going for it is the McDonald's next door so my kids didn't go hungry. The fact that there were other patron in this place is absolutely mind blowing. I've eaten here 3 times. The last two times were NOT by my choice. I have found hair in my somewhat warm food EVERY SINGLE TIME. When it came time to pay the bill our hostess was not pleased with the amount of tip she received--its a buffet first of all, and stood in front of us with her hand out saying "more tip, more tip. We go here for dinner a couple times a month. They seat you as soon as you walk in the door and immediately take your drink order. When you get back from filling your plate at the buffet, your drink is already there. They have plenty of people working there and you never have to wait for anything. In fact, sometimes it feels like they are hovering perhaps a bit too much. Almost as soon as you finish your plate, a girl will swoop over and remove it before you have even set your fork down. Lol. They have free drink refills and are frequently asking you if you would like more. The food itself is generally pretty good. Sometimes it's hit or miss and you feel like you probably shouldn't have come that particular day. But that's not often and 90% of the time its good. There are 4 separate buffet areas. One has cold foods. You will find fresh fruit, peel and eat shrimp, some salads, sushi, jello, etc. I usually will get their cucumber and tomato salad and some watermelon or orange slices from here. I tried one of their pasta salads once and didn't care for it. Very blah. There are 2 buffet areas with hot food. You will find one item on a carving board in the center of one. It usually has something like sliced ham or salmon on it. I have never tried either. My favorites are the spinach which is topped with melted cheese, sweet and sour chicken, stuffed clams, stuffed shrimp (very bread-y but delish), Brussels sprouts, green beans, Lo-mein noodles, fried rice, fried cheese wontons, fried donuts. I also pick the broccoli out of the beef or chicken with broccoli as I enjoy their broccoli. My son always gets their mac n cheese, pizza and crab legs. The 4th buffet is desserts. They have small sweets cut and presented in little paper liners that make it easy to grab what you want. I have never tried them but people do seem to enjoy their selection. Additionally, they have an ice cream freezer where you can scoop out your own hard ice cream. A lot of people enjoy that, as well. They have toppings like sprinkles that you can add. As in the service at your table, there are women hovering around the buffets. Always stirring, refilling, wiping, etc. I know it's a nice thing, but can sometimes be annoying. One older woman yelled at me once. Apparently I put a spoon back in the wrong place. Haha. I personally do not eat their soups. I tried the wonton soup twice (figured I'd give it a second chance). Both times the wontons were very mushy and unappealing, as though they had been floating in the sort of nasty looking broth for way too long. And as much as they are tending to the hot foods on the 2 center buffets, the soups are a different story. I have eaten there quite a lot over the past few years and I have never once seen anyone check on or replace the soups. Perhaps I'm just not there at the right time. But anyway, I avoid them. As for the atmosphere, it does seem a bit dark. It can also get stuffy. A/C would help a lot some days. The salt shakers are rather gross. It looks like a lot of them have old food stuck on top where perhaps kids have held them too close to their food when salting. The waitresses do seem to wipe down the tables well. The chairs can be a little rickety so if you are heavy-set like me, choose carefully. :-) The outside can make the place seem a little iffy, too. A lot of times you will see someone from the kitchen out there smoking, next to the kitchen door which is propped open. Not a big deal, but you have the impression that there is a good chance they don't wash their hands when they go back inside. There is also an area with, well it's hard to describe, chicken wire, brush, etc. I'm not sure what that area is for and I probably don't want to know. The last time I was there, I noticed there is a garden planted on the other side. It looks nice and well-cared for. I didn't get a good look but it seemed like it was perhaps vegetables and herbs. I'm not sure. They seem busy a lot of times. You see a lot of familiar faces there (locals) and also truck drivers passing through. If you go semi-frequently, you learn what is good and what you probably want to avoid. We keep going back because the foods that they do well are generally worth the trip. The price for dinner is around $10 per person for the buffet and fountain soda or iced tea (all you can eat/drink on both). The lunch buffet is a bit less in price. At the end of the meal they bring you fortune cookies with your bill. read more

ABSOLUTELY horrible! Myself, Child and significant other went here for dinner last night! we all were sick after eating here... I knew this place was a mistake when we first walked in. dirty and dingy!!! We all might have eaten a quarter of a plate... because the food looked absolutely disgusting... but we already ordered drinks and we thought I mean really how bad can it be... I was wrong we should have left when we walked in. as we all were sick from just the small amount of food we actually could choke down. they had platters of food sitting on top of the other platters on the buffet. It is what it is, a buffet! I've eaten there enough to give a reliable review. First of all it's hit and miss on the food quality. One day the food is great, next time it might be cold or under cooked. I went for lunch, I got there just as it opened for the day, and the majority of the food was not at the temperature it needed to be at. so I mentioned it to the staff, There response was I'll take 10% off your bill, I told them I'm not looking for a reduction, I just want to let you know your food is cold and if the health dept was to come in there would be trouble. there response was we'll take 20% off you bill. I quit there since I wasn't going to get anywhere, but on the flip side I've been there numerous times where the food was hot, fresh and tasty. My last visit, which was last week. Overall everything was good, but I had to wait forever for them to bring out the crab legs, and when they finally did the were ice cold, again I brought it to there attention and there response this time was, "the'll be more out shortly" So to sum it up, if you want a variety and feel lucky go here, but if you can deal with take -out China City on River st in the village is much better, consistant quality, fair price read more

It may have been an off night for them. The hot and sour soup was very good. It was then a hit or miss. ( It was Sat. night----I would expect better) Served cold tea in a mug -8 oz.---I wanted hot tea -strange taste . Good items-- vegetables - green beans and ice berg lettuce--lettuce could have been colder more refreshing -warm. My husbands crab legs were ice cold even thought they swimming in water on the steam table. They had watermelon-good . Several items were not fresh maybe mixing old with new. That is not a procedure known in the true culinary world. They also block an exit with a stack of chairs? Why???? Servers did their work . They could not answer our questions.(cold crab legs) Cakes were stale --ice cream was good. Happy to have the buffet in this area. I know what is good and will stick to those items. I really did loved the soup. This was my first time--- there. With some careful watching of the steam table and the refrigeration this place could be 4 star. read more
