Word is they are closing. I read that their last day is April 30, 2026. So sad about that but this family has run an amazing business for over 25 years. I have watched as the owners/chefs' kids came in as middle schoolers to help while working on their homework in between orders and then watched those kids have their own kids (!!) and brought them into the establishment on occasion. I was happy to see a place advertised as NY Chinese food but ended up a bit disappointed. It looked like a legit NY style place with the traditional menu, food pics on the wall, younger workers playing on their phones in the little seating area, in a run down half closed strip mall location. Also, semi clean and no AC completed the vibe. The food looked good but lacked taste. The bag of crispy noodles were anything but crispy and got thrown away. Portions were large and priced fairly and staff were nice enough. The search for my NY style Chinese food in the area continues. Why are there no pork egg rolls in the Atlanta area? And the fried rice that comes with the meal is supposed to be pork fried rice, not chicken. I won't drive 25 minutes to return. read more

I've been going to China Heaven for well over 20 years and I can tell you it is barn. The best Chinese restaurant in the Roswell Alpharetta and South Johns Creek area. It's family owned and operated. It's small. There's not really a place to eat inside but you can but the food is delicious. It's fresh and they're good honest, hard-working people and I've become friends with them over these 20+ years They will make your orders special for you if you don't like certain things like I don't I can't recommend them enough. read more

China Heaven is a decent fast food restaurant. My order was Kung Pao Beef which was good, but prefer it to be spicier than it was made (will ask them to crank it up a notch next time). See pic. Four friends had hiked at Jones Bridge park and China Heaven is a short distance away. Everybody was happy with their food. The consensus was the food quality was three star, but the price was five star, so we averaged it to a four star. Nobody left hungry. This was after our Christmas day hike. We were hungry and called China Heaven to verify they were open. Normally I would not patronize a place on Christmas day, as want folks to be able to spend time with the family. We've been ordering delivery from China Heaven since we moved to Roswell in 2011. The food is delicious, well-prepared and in large portions. Not fancy, but super good... and we love that, like in the old days, you can pick up the phone, call the restaurant directly and have quick and efficient order taking (by a young lady who I suspect is the owner's daughter whose voice has matured over the years from about ?12 to adult). Tonight was my third time visiting this restaurant and they now have a customer for good. Not only is the food reasonable and delicious, but the portion sizes are generous. Their egg rolls are crispy and seasoned well. The tofu and veggies is also some of the best that I have had in some time. The lo mein is fresh and has the right amount of sauce and seasoning without being too overwhelming. On this visit, I again ordered the Home Style Bean Curd, vegetable egg rolls and vegetable lo mein. My order came with two free vegetable egg rolls because of the total and I was looking forward to enjoying my dinner. Unfortunately, my car would not start and the owner came out to help me with a jump. The car still would not come on and I had to order a tow. The wait was over 3.5 hours and it had been a rough day. As if the prior gesture was not kind enough, the owner and his wife went the extra mile (literally) to give me a ride home as it was rather late. The kindness of the owners floored me especially after a long day, I am certain, of serving customers. This will be my go to spot for Chinese food from now on. My aunt and I were looking for a quick bit after visiting a relative in a nearby senior living home. Never of us were familiar with the area so I searched "restaurants" on Google Map. Most of the other stores in the shopping center were vacant. We ordered take out. The house lo mein was busting out of the container (ample portion!) and full of tasty tender meat including chicken, beef, and plump succulent shrimp. The green beans had a touch of bright color with the addition of carrots. The sauce was a little bit sweeter than I like but still a flavorful dish. The 2 young sisters working the register patiently endured as we decided what to order and kindly accommodating as my aunt shared pictures with them of my late mom, her twin. This was one of my good spots. Lately the chicken wings seem to be refried. I know inflation is at an all time high but no excuse. Maybe some folks don't mind refried chicken but I do. The food was not very flavorful. The fried rice was the best part of my meal. I ordered the bbq ribs, broccoli beef, and teriyaki chicken. The chicken was breaded and covered in a sauce. I ordered online so I expected the food that I received to look like the food pictured. When I got home with my order and saw that it was this breaded orange chicken looking dish I called. I had picked up my food 15 minutes before closing. By the time we got home and sat down to eat, they were closed so I didn't even know if they would still be there but I called anyway. If I could give you a negative rating I would. I ordered broccoli chicken, chicken lo mein and 10 sesame flavored wings. My order arrived with the paper bag stapled and inside a plastic bag that was neatly tied. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out the first order, followed by the second order, only to see a solitary wing laying on the bottom of the bag. I drive through 5 o'clock traffic thinking that they (china heaven) will make this right. Wrong. I'm met with disbelief (how do you think your customer felt?) and shifting the blame to Grubhub. I call & text the driver who is in disbelief saying, "what? I don't check the orders". Yes, either the driver is telling a bold face lie, or china heaven is telling a bold faced lie. The person who put the order together did finally agree to do another order but seemed to look at me with an eye of suspicion while saying something about cost. Yes it was going to be free but, after the back and forth, I said forget it. 'Would you just dispose of the bag please?'. The young lady agreed . My point is this. I'm YOUR customer who has ordered from you many times. If your customer drives back to you because 9 of their 10 wings were missing, just make it right. I'll never order from you again. They are being really safe and careful following Covina-19 protection standards And their food is so good! There are several "Asian" restaurants we have frequented over the years, and eventually I hope to get them all in here. This review will discuss "China Heaven" on Holcomb Bridge Rd in Roswell. We've been ordering take-out from this place for many years; I want to say something like 20 years, and we have seldom been disappointed. The prices are right (my wife and I had take out last night for less than $25.00) and the service is quick and accurate. Last night I brought home shrimp and cashew nuts, and moo shoo vegetables from there.. My fav dish from there is General Tso's Chicken or Shrimp; I am going easy on that as I'm lately watching the fried stuff/calories and such. BUT ... they are absolutely delicious. Last evening, for the first time, I ordered our meals online. Smooth as silk. This is definitely a "go to" place for take-out. The restaurant keeps late hours, which is a very handy thing to know. More often than not, the portions are more than enough for one meal. It will do for supper and a light lunch the next day. This is what is known as value added! A human interest note I'd like to share: When we first started going there for take-out, there was often some children doing what looked like homework at the tables. Now it is at least 20 years later, and there are still children doing homework at the tables. They can't be the same children! The best Chinese food you can get around this area. I'm from NY where the Chinese food is top notch. With that said there have been many disappointing nights where my boyfriend and I find ourselves wishing we were back in NY. China Heaven is the only restaurant we feel taste close to our normal NY nights. Eggs rolls are decent. The general Tsos chicken is probably out favorite dish there. Fried rice and white rice is great. (Can't really Mess that up) beef and brocoli also good. I wish their spare ribs were better but still decent. They get 4 stars because their costumer service is great! Shout out to the girls who help their family work the front desk. This place is located really close to my own house in the same shopping center that holds Studio Movie Grill. They are also located next to McDonald's as well. I have gotten takeout from this establishment in the past and have to say that the food from here that I have gotten from was good. However, when I ordered takeout lunch from them this past Monday...the chicken fried rice that came with my lunch special was absolutely horrible. I don't know if it was an off day for them or what. I had ordered their L31 Sesame Chicken lunch special. This came with Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, one Egg Roll, and one chicken wing. The Sesame Chicken, Egg Roll, and Chicken Wing were absolutely delicious. But, nothing spectacular at all. I did not like nor enjoy the Chicken Fried Rice that came with my Sesame Chicken lunch special at all. I do not know what went wrong that day with them or if it was just an off day for them. But, I know that they can do better. The service is excellent as well as friendly and quick. The atmosphere is none other than your standard average take out Chinese restaurant. It is not like your regular Chinese restaurant like (Golden Buddha) on Clairmont Road in Decatur. To me this Chinese restaurant is not the kind that you would like to just sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while you eat. I have also tried their shrimp toast and their BBQ spare ribs. The ribs were alright at best and their shrimp toast was alright at best as well. But, they were both nothing spectacular or anything. The food is not expensive at all. My LD31 lunch special cost only me $6.95, the price is good. However, I am not sure whether or not if I will be ordering take out again from this place again. First time eating here. Wasn't terrible but nothing special either. We got the food to go. Place looked a little run down but we gave it a shot. Food was ready within 15 mins of calling. The chicken teriyaki on a stick app looked scary but was really good. Well flavored & moist. The pork fried rice wasn't the best but it was ok. The flavor tasted a little off. First time I've ever eaten white rice when I ordered fried (tried to mix it up for better flavor) The egg rolls were good. I'd get them again. Good size too. The general tsos chicken was ok. Sweet, not really spicy at all. I'm use to this dish having a little spice. A lot more breading than chicken. All dark meat and some pieces tasted dried out and old :/ The sweet and sour chicken looks great but we were pretty disappointed. Mostly All Breading! The actual chicken inside was about a quarter of the size of what you see in the pic. Some pieces had NO chicken at all. That was disappointing. This is my favorite wing spot in the world. I love them so much! I always get myself a 10 piece lemon pepper wing combo as a treat after I'vs accomplished something that was difficult for me, and the girls that work here are always so so sweet to me! It makes my whole day. Today, I finished finals. I was so dead inside, but I still mustered up enough energy to drive myself here and I picked up some. It's been a few months since I've come here, but it was even better than I remembered. Everybody there was even sweeter than I remembered too. First off, three stars should not be viewed as a bad thing. I came in for lunch and got one of their combos with soup or eggroll/wing and spicy Mongolian beef. Hot and sour soup was OK, not exemplary. Scorching hot! Entree was good and I enjoyed that it came with chicken fried rice. We didn't feel like ordering take-out, so we actually ate here this past weekend. We've ordered take-out from this place before and liked it, so we decided to come here. That, and my husband had a giant hankering to visit the froyo place next door. It's your typical take-out establishment. Only four tables lining the walls, three booths and one table-and-chairs set-up. We ordered at the counter - I got the chicken and veggie combo that came with two egg rolls. Husband ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo with an egg roll and a chicken wing. One thing I don't like, no fountain drinks. If I wanted water, I would have to pay for the bottle. And they only have bottled drinks, there were a few cans of Coke though. Also, the cooler they use for the drinks also holds produce for the restaurant. Meh, I wasn't too sure about that, but they have a 99-score from the health department. We found an booth, which looks like it had seen better days, to sit in. The booth was comfy and had plenty of room. No joke, our food arrived in five minutes. To steaming plates full of food made it to our table in record time. The food was great. A good mix of veggies, perfect amount of sauce and two crispy egg rolls to go with it. I didn't have to put anything on my food, it was good the way it was served. A nice change of pace - yellow rice instead of the typical fried white rice. I enjoyed that. As with any Chinese food, the more I ate it felt like my plate was refilling. I couldn't find the bottom of my plate. There was so much food! My husband devoured his sweet and sour chicken...with his bare hands. Granted, we were given plastic forks that weren't the most suitable for stabbing crispy chicken with. He got a heaping serving of sweet and sour sauce and was basically eating his food like chicken fingers. At the end, he drowned his poor rice in soy sauce and ate it all mixed together. The decor leaves much to be desired, but again, this place is take-out. This is your run-of-the-mill take-out plate known for delivery, not eat-in. I should mention that several families came in and ordered food while we were there. This place seems pretty popular. I ended up with a to-go box and feeling completely satisfied. So...I've had a few dishes from this establishment. The Honey Chicken Wings, Chinese Donuts, Generals Tso's Chicken, and Fried Chicken Wings. 1. The Honey Chicken- They are NOT playing when they say "honey". They are alright. Not the best, but not the worst. The one thing I hate the most is that they put the wings right on top of your fried rice, so now you've got "honey rice" as well. Not a good combo. 2. Chinese Donuts- Unless you want to taste everything they have cooked for the day, I would NOT recommend ordering these. I got these once and tasted shrimp, chicken and some other unidentifiable foods. Needless to say, THOSE went to the trash. 3. Ah...the Generals Tso's chicken. Now HERE's where the 3 stars come into place. mmm mmm mmm...so good! It comes with some really yummy stir-fry Broccoli and a few peppers (which I conveniently avoid). Only problem is, if you let the chicken sit for too long in the container it comes in, they will get really soggy. Other than that...to die for! 4. And the fried chicken is REALLY good! China heaven is close to my place so its a go to for takeout. I have a feeling it is filled with MSG but that won't deter me...ever. I am usually so full by the time I'm done I feel like I need to be wheeled out. Lots of food, place isn't that visually appealing but the price is right and I've never waited more than 30 min for delivery. If they are swamped they actually tell you which is nice. I always make sure to tip well and they remember that. I get little treats (extra egg roll/crab rangoo if I hint to it) Right by studio movie grill, skip that food and go here before the movie...just don't fall asleep/meat sweats while watching! read more

Last Saturday night we were craving Chinese food and China Heaven happened to be the closest choice for delivery. Out of laziness to explore for something else, we decided to give it another go. This time I had lo-mein and Szechuan beef with some wonton soup.. Imagine my surprise when the food was fresh and hot (and delivered suuuper fast!) and I didn't feel sick or lethargic at all afterwards. A big plus in my book! I wish I could give it no stars. I went in yesterday to order the general tso chicken and wings with fried rice (it also came with an egg roll). Upon receiving my food while sitting in my car, I noticed something smelled off but I didn't pay it any mind. After four bites of my egg roll and a bite of my wings (which also tasted off), immediately my body started to feel weird. Two hours later I had a horrible headache, the chills and nausea.
