Can't believe that a buffet would have such good Rangoons. And there were plenty of them. Of the other foods, I'd have to say that the peanut butter chicken and chicken and broccoli was my favorite. Decent food, surly staff…read more The food here is pretty good--in fact, the egg foo yung is very good. We have had take-out from here and always see the same (apparently) sole host/waiter/bus boy. Last night, we recently ate in for a meal. The sole visible employee was downright surly; never cracked a smile, welcomed us, or said "thank you". After we placed the original order, we decided we wanted an appetizer. We hailed him down (because of course he did not check the (table) to add to our order, and as he headed to the back we heard him say"NOW they want....." as in we were causing great inconvenience. I was pretty sure he was going to spit in our food. Oh, by the way, we were the only table in the restaurant. While we were there, someone came in to pick up take-out. Though I am pretty sure it was their ONLY call-in order, Mr. Surly needed both the customer's name and phone number to find the order. I have never felt less welcome in a restaurant. Even though the food is OK, the surliness isn't worth it.

Ordered food for my family for delivery they told us 35 mins it turned out to be 1 hr 15 mins before we got our food. My 12 year old son was eating his shrimp lo mein and food a huge piece of black thread in it. I called the manager and he pretty much told me to get screwed so I went in there and demanded my money back because not only did we find a thread in our food the beef was way undercooked in our beef and broccoli. He gave me attitude. This place is a dump and I will definitely be calling the health inspector because these people need to get shut down. read more

We were going to be in Brillion and I knew I'd be busy unloading groceries and definitely not in the mood to cook. My call was answered immediately by a pleasant easy-to-understand young person. While rather disappointed to learn that Egg Fu Yung is no longer available (not ordered often enough, alas), we ordered our standby meal of Crab Rangoon, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Moo Goo Gai Pan. Our order was ready before 15 minutes elapsed and Hunan accepts credit cards. The crab rangoons were right on top of the carefully packaged bag so we had to try those immediately. Fantastic! Full of the cream cheese mixture and crispy, notably NOT overcooked to the point of being almost burned. While no one, including Hunan, seems to include the green pepper and pineapple chinks once a part of the sweet sour sauce, the deep fried park was notable for its size, flavor, and the delicate batter. So often one must look for the meat inside of heavy breading. It was excellent and the portion generous and reasonably priced. My Moo Goo Gai Pan was superb: a generous portion of chicken, pea pods, carrots, white onions, and superlatively fresh quartered mushrooms in an outstandingly flavorful white sauce. I highly recommend Hunan's of Brillion, Wisconsin. Excellent food, friendly staff, generous portions, and reasonable prices are an unbeatable combination. Please note that it is a carryout/takeout restaurant only.
