Food is cross contaminated, had green beans in my broccoli chicken, broccoli tasted like it was cooked last week. Buttered potatoes were rock hard, even the cheese wontons were rock hard inside and out. Only thing that was stiff, cold, and rock hard is the rolls, but we're still cold. I ordered takeout via online. The food was ready on time and it was fresh, HOWEVER, the quality was super poor. Everything was very low quality and bland as can be. Definitely do not recommend for takeout, I didn't eat the buffet but would assume it's not any better. read more

We observed as this restaurant stuck it out through COVID. Today it is highly popular, and we observed that the lunch crowd nearly filled the restaurant with folks of all ages. $12.00 is the meal price 11:00AM - 9:00PM. "37 varieties of chicken;" and we avoid all. Hot and Sour soup is very good as are the potstickers. Nice green beans and veggies; other menu items are "typical Chinese." We liked the several beef selections; chocolate pudding may be the best dessert. Always lots of choices, and seldom is there a buffet line. Minimal service, and nice Chinese Buffet ambience. Chinese buffet just isn't what it used to be. The food had a stale consistency, the crab Rangoon was the only thing I ate that tasted like it should. I was sat right away and host took my drink order. Buffet is a good size with normal favorites. Came in right at noon and there were plenty of people eating there. I was surprised that all the food tasted old, like it had been sitting for a while. Chicken was dry on the outside. Noodles were brown and dry. Batter was soggy on the general tso's. Potstickers had dry hard rice on them. They have wait staff but never came to my table. Maybe I wasn't there long enough as I couldn't finish my food. Decided to pay and leave. I moved to the area not that long ago and have been looking for a good buffet. Unfortunately, the search continues. I was very disappointed the first time I visited, but I decided to wait to leave a review until I gave the place another chance. While the selection is varied for a small buffet, almost everything I tried had a weird taste to it, particularly the fried food. I noticed the odd taste to the fried food the first time as well. Do they need to change the oil? Do they need to clean the deep fryer? Not sure, but it's repulsive. Secondly, all of the chicken is rubbery. I noticed that the first visit as well. Lastly, and perhaps the most important, they don't even have imitation crab in the rangoons. They simply call them "cheese wontons." Although they should add "musty old oil" to the front of that name. Other than the disappointing food, at least the waiters are nice and attentive. read more

This is some of the worst Chinese food we've had. We got three different types of chicken and they were all bland and had little variation in flavor. The egg rolls were truly the worst we have ever had. They were only cabbage yet somehow dry. They were also rancid. Frozen egg rolls are much better than what they served. The cheese wontons were bland as well. The broccoli was barely steamed and hard to chew. The only halfway decent item that had some flavor was the lo mein. Food was bland and overcooked. The general tso's was not spicy at all and kind of tasted like a peanut sauce. I did not try the grill. There seemed to be at least 3 flies hanging out by the grill ingredients and sushi. Service was good. Drinks were kept filled and empty plates promptly removed. This place used to be - USED to be - the best Chinese buffet in the greater Dayton area. Just ate here today, for lunch, after having last eaten there approximately four months ago (when it was still damn good). Firstly, the single best straight buffet item (as opposed to the hibachi; more on that later) that this place ever offered was their bourbon chicken. Apparently, though, they've decided to strike this from their offerings (and instead, offer the not-at-all-comparable-in-quality "rose chicken"). Secondly, about that hibachi: Time was, one could walk in at lunch time on any given weekday and witness the restaurant fairly filled to capacity, with many of the customers choosing to select the (pretty daggone great) hibachi offerings. But not this time. The hibachi was well stocked, the neon sign reading "Hibachi Grill" was well lit up, and the actual hibachi grill was ... un-freaking-staffed. Also, about those previous big weekday lunch crowds: They are clearly a thing of the past. The place was MAYBE a quarter full, which in the past would've been unheard of at this restaurant. As we recognized not one of the employees, from the cashier/manager-on-duty, to the servers, to the food re-stockers (or whatever they're called), I can only surmise that this restaurant is under new management And the decisions that they have made/are still making seem to be - on this day, at least - not as well received as the way that this place used to be run (and we certainly aren't exactly eager to rush back here and spend our money; and we used to frequent this place one HELL of a lot). ::Sigh:: I guess Thomas Wolfe was right. read more

Let me start off by saying. All the meat is never cooked thoroughly. This place doesn't have very many options. I had the same problem as all the other people that reviewed this place. Best Chinese buffet in the Dayton area. We came from Beavercreek to try this one two weeks ago and we just left from our 2nd visit. Great food and they keep bringing fresh out. They will make you anything they are running low on. Management and servers are very nice. So much better than the Kettering and Riverside buffets. read more
